When I went in for my makeup/hair trial in April, I was very happy with Kristen's work, but there were some minor changes that I wanted for my wedding day to feel more like myself. On the big day, Kristen did everything to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my hair/makeup and spent so much time perfecting everything. I honestly have never felt more beautiful in my life, and I was amazed at how she was able to capture my vision so perfectly. My bridesmaids/moms were also very happy with their hair/makeup too! Thank you ladies so much for making me look stunning on my big day. I would recommend Kouture Beauty Designs to anyone!!!

ink twice about her recommendation or about signing the contract with Kristen and giving her a $100 deposit, which needed to be paid prior to scheduling a trial. On the day of my trial, I drove an hour and a half to Lansdale, PA to a beautifully redesigned salon and met Kristen, who was lovely. I talked to her about the theme of our wedding, my dress, and showed her two pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like. When she spun my chair around, my hair was NOTHING like the pictures or what I had envisioned. I told her that it didn’t look anything like the pictures and explained in detail how she could fix it from here (I wanted vintage waves but ended up looking like Shirley Temple). She attempted to pull the curls out but it was unsuccessful. My natural hair without product or styling looked better than this. She proceeded to reassure me that it would look different on my wedding day because she would give me a blowout – however, isn’t a “trial” supposed to show me exactly what my hair will look like on my wedding day? My wedding day is no day to take risks and HOPE my hair will turn out the way I want it to. It was so bad that my fiancé was laughing at me when I got home and told me that my hair looked better right when I got out of bed that morning. I contacted Kristen later that week and expressed my anxiety about not knowing what my hair will look like on my wedding day and requested another trial free of charge (the first was $75). She refused to do another trial so I requested my deposit back, which she also refused. Now, I’m out $175 for what I thought to be a terribly unprofessional experience. I’ve never written a bad review online about anything or anyone but I felt the need to in this circumstance because I would HATE for any other bride to feel this way while planning one of the most memorable days of her life.

I got so many compliments on my makeup throughout the night. My mom has makeup sensitivities and Kristen was very knowledgeable and worked with her. My maid of honor loved her makeup as well. I would recommend Kristen to anyone who wants very natural looking makeup, with a hint of glam. I know that a lot of people have concerns about not looking like themselves, or having makeup caked on, but that wasn’t a worry with Kristen at all. Definitely very happy with the results! ☺
