Born and raised in Indianapolis DJ J Torcher started djing at the age of only 13yrs old at a family barebeque. “I have always had a love for music and growing up I was always around different genres of music.” For the first five years of his career DJ J Torcher was basically just experimenting the craft using any type of different equipment he could get his hands on. “Until I finally bought my own equipment which was 2 turntables and a mixer at which time I met the person who would become my mentor, DJ LP. I discovered him djing at a local skating rinks I visited. I saw him doing tricks and then asked him to show me how he did those tricks then he proceeded to show me and then i would go and try to duplicate the tricks that he had done. which led him to help me perfect my craft. He later introduced me to who would become my business partner Isaac "Lucky" Smith and help with my career launch.” He has done everything from house parties, graduations, college parties, weddings, clubs, show DJ, networking events, conferences and even small concerts. His current specialty is spinning at clubs. Having over 25 years of DJ experience he was the resident DJ for two years at the DJs United Conference held in Indianapolis along with concerts that were held in clubs and events at College Universities in Indiana. “I've definitely worked with a lot of underground DJs with great credibility that have broken records” His ability to read any crowd and his high energy allows him to satisfy all the different types of people he has entertained for years. DJ J Torcher pulls from all types of genres to get a crowd moving including Top 40, Dance, EDM, Rap, R&B, Country, Reggae and Latin.
