From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Kristen became our dear friend, going above and beyond and sharing her personal excitement for our most cherished chapter coming to life. She truly was our safe place through the entire planning experience, and on our wedding day, I had no doubt that she would not only capture the beauty of the lowcountry and all our wedding details, but the rarity of our LOVE. Our photos exude our love story and our magic, and the emotion my husband and I share. The mix of film and digital with the soft, romantic touch Kristen adds made her the only photographer we could imagine working with. We love Kristen and know anyone who works with her understands how special the experience truly is!

at ease. We loved how all of our pictures turned out - the hardest part was choosing which to put on the wedding website. Before the wedding day, Kristen sent us a questionnaire to align on which pictures we wanted to be sure to get, and put together a timeline for our day. On the wedding day itself Kristen arrived an hour early and did a complimentary extra hour of photography for us. We consistently ran ahead of schedule which really helped alleviate the wedding day stress! While taking pictures with family and the wedding party, Kristen kept us organized and moving along quickly, somehow wrangling everyone into numerous poses without them complaining. Even my dad who HATES taking pictures commented on how great she was. Throughout the day, Kristen checked in to ensure we were doing alright and getting all the shots we wanted. I would recommend Kristen (and her second shooter Emily) to any couple who wants beautiful photography and to have a blast in the process!

I knew we had to have her as our wedding photographer and booking her was the best decision that we made. We were lucky enough to get to do two engagement sessions with Kristen before our wedding. We had no one else out there and I knew I could trust her with capturing our special morning. Plus she is so good at thinking on the fly! We truly cannot say enough good things about Kristen, but we’ll try: We booked Kristen for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. From our very first call, Kristen was so personable and easy to work with. She understood our budgetary constraints and helped tailor a package that worked for us — she was beyond generous with her willingness to travel to NYC for our engagement shoot and the amount of time she spent with us on our wedding day. Frankly, Kristen could be charging MUCH more based on the quality of her work and services, so we were incredibly grateful from the getgo that we were able to find a way to work with her in our budget. We could tell from Kristen’s portfolio alone that she has a true artist’s eye and produces gorgeous photos with a dreamy, colorful, unmatched quality (both in digital and film!). Still, we were absolutely blown away when we got the link to our engagement photo album. Neither my husband nor I are particularly comfortable with having photos taken generally and I tend to dislike photos of myself, but we both absolutely LOVED all of our engagement photos. So much so that we ended up choosing a Save the Date template with space for multiple pictures so that we could show off Kristen’s work, and it still took us hours to choose a handful from all of our favorite photos. It also wasn’t lost on us that Kristen was able to capture such amazing photos while shooting in a new, bustling city, while dealing with our occasionally uncooperative puppy that we included in the shoot and one slight wardrobe malfunction on my end, all while maintaining the most composed, joyful, fun energy. Kristen made my husband and I feel so comfortable and giddy throughout the whole shoot. We both walked away adoring Kristen (and her husband, who assisted with our pup!). Given our incredible experience with Kristen from our engagement shoot, we were totally at ease on our wedding day. We knew she would do the best job and that all of our friends and family would love her. We were right all around — our friends and family are still all raving about Kristen and when we received a robust sneak peak album of photos (literally within 3 days after our wedding!!), we were once again totally blown away. I’m still amazed at the tiny, split second moments that Kristen was able to capture from our wedding day that I wasn’t aware of at the time but have been cherishing ever since seeing the photos — from the split second when my dad reached out to touch my arm as I walked past him in the ceremony recessional to the quick moment that my husband, my brother (who officiated) and I were all caught in a laugh during the ceremony. Kristen’s photos are all stunning - the detail shots, portraits, candids, artistic shots, EVERYTHING. Her second shooter, Melissa, was also a joy to work with!! We’re of course incredibly excited to see our full wedding album but quite frankly, if we didn’t receive any other pictures, we would still be so thrilled because we have THAT many favorites from the sneak peak. Both Kristen and her work are absolute gems, and you could not make a better decision hiring Kristen!! My husband and I will absolutely be contacting Kristen for all family shoots of any kind in the future!

edding day on June 4th 2021 at The Seclusion in Lexington Virginia. For our engagement shoot we really wanted to have the photos taken in Charleston South Carolina where my husband and I met and Kristen was fantastic and traveled all the way down there for the shoot! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we had such a fun time wandering the city taking photos. Needless to say they turned out amazing and you can’t tell how hot and sweaty we were in the June Charleston heat!!
