I knew Kristen was it from the moment I met her. I felt this instant sense of comfort when I spoke to her, and and knew that she would take care of us the way she would her own family member. Kristen is everything you could want in a person helping you with your wedding - she just happens to also take fabulous photos. My husband was completely turned off by the idea of hours of photos on our wedding day, and he loved our experience thanks to the relationship we built with Kristen. On our wedding day she made us feel like the most special couple in the world. She came early to photograph our details (which turned out gorgeous!!) and moved through the day with us with ease and poise. When our original first look location needed to be changed due to rain, she quickly found us an alternative location nearby. When we needed a break she quickly sensed it, and gave us a breather. After meeting Kristen for the first time, I could tell she was so passionate about she does. She is extremely friendly, personal, professional and fun! Since we were not having a city wedding, we decided to do our engagement session with Kristen in the city. Not only did the photos turn out amazing but it was so great to get in front of the camera prior to our wedding. Kristen made us feel SO comfortable amongst busy crowds and it turned into one of our favorite nights during wedding planning (besides our wedding day obviously). From day one, Kristen was so communicative! She responded quickly to emails and was so personable, asking about real life, besides just wedding planning which just shows how sweet of a person Kristen is. The day of our wedding, Kristen was seriously so amazing. We had some rain and Kristen embraced it and gave us fun umbrellas to use and these turned out to be some of our favorite photos. The entire bridal party kept commenting on how Kristen was so great, professional, and organized. I loved her fun and authentic poses (none of which ever felt awkward). Kristen helped us come up with a detailed wedding time-line which was super helpful and helped us stay organized and envision the whole day. When we did family photos, some guests were unable to make it on time. Before Kristen left our wedding that night, she made sure we got photos with these family members which truly was so heart-felt. Kristen ended up staying later than planned the night of our wedding to capture some dance floor photos which we truly appreciated. Kristen and her husband Justin left the following day to Europe and she still made sure we received some preview photos before leaving. Her husband Justin helped with our engagement session and on wedding day so he stayed late as well which was so nice of him! To stay late AND make sure we received some wedding previews before leaving the country just shows how big of a heart Kristen has. It was truly sad saying “bye” to Kristen that night because she was such an integral part of our wedding. I would recommend Kristen in a heartbeat!

So 1. I highly recommend doing engagement photos. My fiance and I were on the fence about these but we ultimately decided to do them and I'm so glad we did. This was a great time to get to know Kristen, to practice posing and smiling, and really helped get the photo nerves out and to paint the picture of poses that we would be doing at the wedding. And they turned out soooooo beautiful! 2. Communicate to Kristen everything that you want the weeks leading up to the ceremony. Like certain photos you want, specific groups of people you want photographed, anything important to you, and Kristen didnt miss a thing!! I can't express enough how amazing she was to work with. I would absolutely highly recommend. I truly can not imagine my day without her!

When I walked in to the hotel room, Kristen greeted me with a huge smile and such a calm demeanor that it instantly put me at ease and let me enjoy the rest of the day.
