I trust Kristen with my family's special moments and am always so happy to have her behind the camera. I'm super shy, but she always makes me feel comfortable and beautiful. photo that looked good. I don't know how she has a wedding photography business, and I do not want anyone else to go through the process we went through. Do not buy into the other reviews they are just of her friends, and she is trying to get her ratings up. - Of the portrait photos, in half of them, someone is blinking. The picture is of 3-5 people, why would you send one of someone blinking? - She didn't do any photoshop. I work in graphic design an have been using photoshop for over ten years now, and I can tell you she didn't touch these. The eight photos she sent in the sneak peek were photoshopped. Then she sent the rest of them, and nothing was touched. There were bra lines, bruises, even small acne that could have easily been photoshopped out and she didn't do anything. The only thing she did do was add a shadow overlay layer on top of every photo. Putting layers on these images is something she could have done in less than three hours. Honestly, it looked like she forgot she had to edit them and once we asked her about the photos for the tenth time she quickly put this together. - She sent photos where you can see the photographers hand in the photo. - The biggest flaw with the photos is the angle they were taken in, 95% of the photos were taken from unflattering angles, just about all of them were taken from under eye level, which any good photographer would know that all you are going to see is the bottom of everyone's chin. - Neither of the two photographers showed us any photos during the event, so we were not able to see what they looked like until three months after the wedding when she finally got us our photos back. - She would not respond in emails. It took her about a week if not more to respond to anything we asked. - She didn't take any pictures of the hand-drawn signs we had or any of the decor. - The ONLY good quality photos we had from the wedding was of the dessert table. Maybe she should go back to being a product photographer and leave weddings to the professionals. - Luckily there were friends and family who were randomly taking photos, and we got to use some of those instead. Whatever you do, do not use Kristen Hennke Photography. Use one of the other options.

On the day of, Kristen texted my mom that she had a medical emergency (completely understandable- it happens) and couldn’t make it and would be sending someone else. She sent two shooters (the lead of the two I later found out charges $1500 less than what we paid) who were clearly unprepared and uninformed of the flow of the day- despite a questionnaire that Kristen had me fill out the week prior with all of the details. The photos were not even close to the quality that was presented to me when I signed my contract. They were taken from unflattering angles, were not posed well, and did not come close to the work that led me to choose Kristen. The photographers did not take any pictures of the decor (except too many photos of the dessert table) or any solo shots of me (except one with a bouquet in my face) among many other basic shots I should not have had to specifically ask for. Kristen still had the job of editing all photos, and she seemed careless in the photos she chose to send to me. There were multiple photos with at least one of us blinking, talking, or making unflattering faces, and one photo with the backup photographer clearly visible holding up my veil for a shot. I voiced my concerns and Kristen immediately became combative and unprofessional. Kristen quickly blocked both my husband and I on Instagram, and ultimately offered $100 for missing important photos and $100 in print credit for photos I said I was unhappy with. This whole process has been emotionally draining and all I got out of it was 400 photos I’ll never use of a day I’ll never get back. Regardless of the photos she takes, working with Kristen was a headache from the beginning and I would recommend one of the hundreds to thousands of other amazing photographers in the valley who value their brides.
