I booked with Kristen through an instagram ad and everything had been great leading up to the shoot day as well as the actual day itself. Communication was fine, and she’d apologize if she’d taken longer to respond.. but nothing out of the ordinary to me. It’s been after the photoshoot that’s been stressful. Kristen did provide a sneak peek which I’ve noticed to be good practice but wasn’t expecting since we hadn’t discussed, so that was wonderful. However, after one month and one week, I felt it was a good time to reach out to ask about the timeline of receiving our engagement photos. There was no response via Instagram nor text although you can see that she’s read the message through IG. So a few days later I followed up again. She finally responded 10 days after reaching out initially saying that they’ll be done soon. That was a relief as I thought I’d been ghosted. About a week and a half later, I decided to reach out again seeing what soon meant as we’ve been looking into making our save the dates with these photos. I explain to her the reasoning for my reaching out again.. and no response. She sees my message through Instagram. I try calling a few days later since that’s the only route I hadn’t tried going.. but she doesn’t return the call not to my surprise. It’s not very professional or friendly in any capacity to not respond. I looked back in our contract to see the amount of time stated to get the photos and I guess that should’ve been my first flag as there’s no specific timeline stated. It’s been over two months and it’s known that engagement photos are given within a month to 6 week timeframe usually. Although she doesn’t have many reviews, all were positive, so I had no thought to worry. I’m now needing to hire a new photographer to take our photos and sadly we’re moving across the country soon and won’t be able to get them done here. Very unfortunate situation :(
