Our day went so smooth because of Kristen and her husband! I definitely recommend getting two photographers if you can. It was so helpful for Kristen’s husband to be with the guys while they got ready and she was with me and my girls as we got in our dresses. She captured soms really funny photos of me getting into my car with a huge dress!! She also was amazing on how to show us how to pose and make it fun. It was quite a windy day, so of course, my veil and my hair was not cooperating, but Kristen was Work her magic and capture some really great pictures. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

My husband and I were impressed with Kristen from the very first contact. She was prompt with returning inquiries and emails along the way, and online galleries were uploaded quickly as well. We loved the personal interaction and genuine nature of wanting to develop a relationship with us, not just take our photos. Both Kristen and Abel photographed at our wedding and we received so many compliments from guests about their interaction throughout the night! These two did a fabulous job of catching all the candid moments and making us comfortable while offering guidance as needed. Would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

We had such a fantastic experience with Kristen at our engagement photo shoot. We took photos on a considerably windy day and our photos are so beautiful and effortless, that you would never know we had any trouble! She was so patient with us (and our crazy dog) during the shoot and got the album back to us in under 2 weeks, which was amazing. We absolutely loved working with Kristen for our engagement and wedding photos! She is kind, creative, laid back, and very good at her job! She did a wonderful job guiding us on how to pose while also making us feel comfortable and confident during our photo sessions. Before our wedding she had a wonderful planning form we could fill out to provide all the information she needed such as locations and the different pictures we wanted the day of the wedding. This form made the day of stress free since she already had everything she needed! On the wedding day, she brought her husband to assist and they were both incredible! They are a great team! Kristen also worked very well with our videographer which was great! After the wedding Kristen sent us a few images early that we could use on our thank you card. We loved getting to see a few pictures so soon after the wedding! Once we received all our pictures back we could not stop looking at them! Kristen captured our day perfectly! There are so many great photos, it is so hard to pick the ones I want to print! We also loved all the fun shots of our guests. This was great to see because during the wedding you miss a lot of that. I would definitely use Kristen again for pictures in the future!

I absolutely loved Kristen. We didn't meet Kristen in person until the day of our wedding because we don’t live in the area and I felt like I already knew Kristen and felt comfortable around her automatically. The main thing I looked for in a photographer was someone who didn’t force photos but would direct well when it came to photos we wanted/needed. Both my groom and I don’t love being in pictures and Kristen definitely made us feel comfortable. All of my guests days after said how great she was being everywhere at once. Also loved how we had such a variety of photos of our guests even if we aren’t in the photos as we can see things we didn’t see day off. Would hire Kristen again in a heartbeat

Kristen is an amazing photographer! She knows how to lighten up the images and make them look bright and beautiful. She is laid back and easy to work with. Her husband was also there assisting for our wedding. He was also great to work with! We only had an hour with her before the ceremony started but she was there right on time and made sure to get the important photos in that short amount of time. We could not have had a better photographer!

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience with Kristen capturing our engagement photos in Fall of 2021. She was quick to respond to our emails and was open and upfront about her style and prices. Kristen was so amazing to work with!! She took both our engagement and wedding photos. My husband and I live in Cleveland and it was important to us to have some aspect of Cleveland in our wedding since we were getting married in Toledo so she drove out here for our engagement photos. We had so much fun taking these photos. And then she was just so awesome to work with on our wedding day. She made it so easy to get all of the photos that we wanted. It was a long day (12 hours of photos) and it couldn’t have been better. I am blown away by how perfect our photos are. I’m running out of places in my house for our photos to go. We hired Kristen (and her husband) to photograph our fall 2019 wedding. I had searched online for photographers in the Catawba Island area and knew when we saw her work online that her journalistic style was exactly what we were looking for and she didn't disappoint. We had the most amazing experience working with Kristen and her husband Abel. They are such a fantastic team. I felt an instant connection with Kristen from the first time I met with her when I was still interviewing photographers. She just was so honest and real; I knew she is in the business because she loves it. Kristen was always quick to respond and extremely helpful with any questions that I had. We really got to know Kristen during our engagement shoot. My husband is not comfortable being in front of the camera but after a few minutes she was able to get him to relax and we got some of the most amazing photos. She was able to get us to look so natural and not posed. When it came to our wedding Kristen provided a great checklist to ensure that we captured all right formal photos and moments throughout the day. She arrived on time and ready to work to capture the best day of our lives and she did not disappoint. We had some issues with the makeup artist that caused us to be off schedule that really stressed me out. Kristen and Abel were able to remind me what my day was about and to focus on what was truly important to us, getting married. I will forever be grateful to them for that. Both Kristen and Abel requested that we went outside after dinner for some sunset photos which were not even something we thought about and they came out so beautifully. Little details like that are why I would recommend Kristen Nicole Photography to anyone looking to have a photographer to think of things you didn’t and to ensure that you are having the best day of your life. Their photos are amazing and you can see so much joy and happiness and some of my favorite phots are their candid shots.

Kristen & her husband, Abel are so truly passionate about what they do and truly enjoy it. They made our wedding day so relaxed and organized. They were not pushy at all, but they were prepared and organized and had read the notes and key things we wanted from the day beforehand. Kristen was amazing to work with throughout the entire process even though we were planning a wedding from four states away. Her husband and assistant literally made our smiles genuine in all the photos with his jokes and antics. We got our photos back so quickly and we are in LOVE with them. Kristen and her husband were AMAZING! My husband and I absolutely love our engagement and wedding photos, we honestly had such a hard time choosing our favorites because they were all so good! Kristen was so accommodating - we had to reschedule our engagement photos due to rain and she was so great about fitting us in to her busy schedule. It rained again on our wedding day, but Kristen was so relaxed about the whole day, it helped me to relax too! She was great about just going with the flow when we couldn't do outdoor pictures, we ended up at a brewery and some of my favorite shots are candids of the bridal party just hanging out there having drinks. For the official photography session, she kept things moving efficiently while also capturing every photo I wanted, providing great ideas when I needed them, and then letting me take charge if I had a specific idea that I wanted. For the whole rest of the wedding ceremony and reception, Kristen was respectful while gliding in the background, snapping every photo I could ever want! She was able to get me the over 1,000 photos in less than a month, too! And the free coffee-table book is an absolute STEAL! Not to mention how flexible Kristen was when I couldn't get my choices for the coffee table book to her until 6 months after the wedding. She still treated me like I was her number 1 customer! Over all, I had (and am still having) a great experience with Kristen Nicole Photography.

Bottom line, our photos were amazing and everything we were hoping for. Kristen and her husband Abel were amazing to work with. Kristen met with us twice after normal work hours and was very timely on the day of the ceremony. Kristen was very into relaxed pictures and made sure that she got the pictures we requested. Our venue was the Toledo zoo and the reception was in the aquarium which has some odd lighting for photos. Kristen did an amazing job making sure our photos didn’t have any weird shadows or reflections. Our photos were a great mix of showing off our unique venue while capturing us on our special day. We got our pictures back within 2 months of our wedding, which we felt was pretty fast for the busy fall season and we had over 1000 photos. I would definitely recommend Kristen to anyone and would even consider using her for future family photos. I am sure you can find cheaper, but you honestly are getting what you pay for.

The wedding day once again Kristen and her team were again great. The pictures came out amazing. She captured every moment that we wanted and even ones we had no idea that we would. Kristen and her team were awesome in that they were everywhere even though you never really noticed them. All the pictures were caught in the moment which we LOVE and not staged or have to stop what we were doing in order for pictures. We would recommended her for any engagement photos or weddings. The 5 star rating seems too low, I would easily give a ten!

We got our pictures back in a timely fashion and were given the option of digital or cd format. We received a large selection of photos from every part of the day. Kristen and her team, captured formal photos, candid moments, and literally every last detail of the day! We cannot say enough good things about Kristen Nicole Photography! We did not live in the area when we took our engagement pics, but Kristen worked around that, our crazy schedules, and my indecisiveness on picking a location. She made us feel relaxed, and didn't force any poses. The pictures were AMAZING! For our wedding we had Kristen, & her father as our 2nd photographer, and her husband was our videographer and all 3 of them captured our day perfectly while fitting right in with everyone! I never noticed that they were even there taking pictures (except during the formal pictures, obviously), but they didn't miss a single detail of our day. Their work is phenomenal, and I have people contacting me regularly just to tell me how beautiful the pictures are and how talented our photographer was. In addition to taking incredible pictures, Kristen, and her team, are a pleasure to be around. My husband hates to have his picture taken, but Kristen was able to make us both feel relaxed and not so awkward in front of the camera. We also had guests coming up and telling us how comfortable they felt talking to the photographer/videographer, and how they couldn't wait to see the pictures/video because they were capturing the "real" and "candid" moments throughout the day. Photography was the most important thing on our wedding "must haves", and we could not be more satisfied with the talented, humble, and down-to-earth Kristen Nicole Photography. Kristen is AMAZING! Her and her husband work together, and are incredibly attentive and understanding of your vision! For our engagement photos, we had the BGSU mascots and SICSIC be a part of our photo shoot at the Doyt Stadium. Kristen met us in BG and helped make our concept/idea into a reality! :) She has a ton of really creative ideas to make your photos truly unique and exactly what you want! On our wedding day, her and her husband captured every wonderful moment, providing us with so many pictures! They captured every detail, down to our decor and table settings! I was first drawn to Kristen Nicole’s vibrant, photojournalistic style, use of natural light, and ability to capture authentic candid moments. This husband and wife team made us feel comfortable on our wedding day, and gave just the right amount of direction to keep us from looking lost but never overly posed. They took advantage of the great changes in lighting as the sun was going down at our outdoor wedding, and pulled us aside for a much needed private moments to take pictures of just me and my new husband. We had so much fun on our wedding day, and I think a large contributor of that was knowing we were in good hands with Kristen Nicole: we could focus on enjoying the moment and know that all the laughs, the tears, and the dancing was being captured beautifully to reflect on later.
