From the first time we chat to your very last pose, I'll make sure you feel confident and look your best in front of the camera. Photography has been my passion ever since my mom gave me my first camera, and I've been lucky enough to capture some incredible milestone moments for so many couples. Every couple is unique, and I'm all about capturing those natural, candid moments that reflect your style and story. Though I'm based in Rhode Island, I love to travel—whether you're planning an out-of-state or destination wedding, Kristen's Captures Photography will be there. I offer unlimited consultations and pay close attention to the details, ensuring your day is relaxing and filled with memories you'll want to relive over and over again. My name is Kristen! I have had a camera in my hand for a little over 13 years and am excited to share my passion with you all! I first fell into photography when my mom handed me her 1985 Pentax K1000 and since, have found myself following in her creative footsteps! I photograph everything from newborns, to engagements, weddings, and milestone events! I enjoy taking candids and capturing your personality how the world sees it! I cannot wait to speak with you all and learn about your love stories!

sure what we were looking for. But once we talked to Kristen on the phone we knew she was the perfect fit for us. Her energy over the phone was so infectious and made us excited to get in front of her camera. Our first time meeting her was at our engagement shoot. We decided to go with a sunrise beach session and Kristen showed up with energy and ready to capture our love. She was down to do any pose and was always hyping us up on how perfect our pictures were coming out. We had so much fun and were just able to relax and be ourselves. This all translated into the beautiful pictures we received from Kristen. From the time of our engagement shoot (July 2023) to our wedding (September 2024) Kristen was always checking in to see how we were doing and how excited she was to shoot our big day. It was so awesome to have constant check ins with her!! The day of our wedding (9/21/24) was so amazing thanks to Kristen. She was with us for majority of the day and always made sure to hype us all up and to make sure I knew I could take breaks from pictures at any time. All of our guests absolutely loved her as much as my husband and I do. 10/10 would recommend her for any photography services. She is amazing to work with, takes beautiful pictures, and is professional but also knows how to have a good time.

We loved her so much when meeting her for our engagement photos that we had her also photograph our daughter’s 1st birthday a few months before our wedding. She was the perfect addition to our wedding day - her meticulous planning, calm but energetic demeanor, and continuous assurance made us feel so comfortable and you could feel the genuine excitement she felt capturing the special moments! rent vendors I contacted, Kristen was by far the most attentive. Furthermore, Kristen very effectively conveyed a “want” to work with me. Her availability and thoroughness, even before the ‘big day,’ was everything. Any timeframe Kirsten outlined she stuck to it and very clearly communicated ‘next steps.’ The day of the proposal was seamless thanks to her planning. Also, the engagement shoot following the proposal was fantastic. As a complete stranger to any sort of professional shoot, Kristen walked us through each and every pose/step. Her guidance kept us comfortable and in the moment. Of course, the photos themselves were beyond expectation. We are overjoyed with what was captured and the superb editing done for the final product. Also, the “sneak peak” Kristen offered with a couple photos 1-2 hours following the shoot was amazing. We were out to dinner with family to celebrate the occasion and got a few gorgeous pics to show everyone right away. If Kristen is available for your day, you need to jump on the opportunity.
