She made it her mission to get to know every one of her clients to ensure that their personalities are reflected in their pictures. Her creativity blends seamlessly with her light-hearted approach to photography. Kristi lives in her meant-to-be home in the Outer Banks. The ocean-front views and sandy beaches inspire Kristi almost as much as love and weddings do. She graduated from the University of North Carolina before starting her own photography company. Kristi had her very own dream wedding in 2006, and now lives with her husband and children by the coast. Kristi’s relaxed nature rubs off on those around her and helps to put couples at ease in front of the lens. She enjoys the little things in life, and has a particular fondness for traveling, meaning destination weddings are not only accepted but enjoyed. She loves to watch moments unfold naturally between couples to capture the most authentic pictures possible. Kristi was one of our favorite vendors! Our photos turned out beautifully, and we plan on ordering an album from her because we were so impressed! Her wedding package included an engagement session, which was a wonderful bonus! We planned our wedding long-distance, and Kristi was very quick to respond to emails and answer any of my questions. We are truly grateful for all of the hard work she put into creating beautiful memories that we will cherish forever!

Could not have asked for a better wedding photographer to work with for our wedding day. Kristi is thoughtful and professional. She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and it shows in her pictures. She captured every detail and we have so many beautiful pictures! I am forever grateful to be able to look back at these pictures from our wedding and see the fun and love that surrounded us.

Where do I even begin to tell you how much of a phenomenal photographer Kristi Midgette was for our July 2015 beach wedding? From the moment my husband and I met her we knew she was the perfect fit. We met with a few OBX photographers and after looking over Kristi's sample albums with beautiful photography and affordable pricing, we knew Kristi was our go to girl! We took our engagement pictures, my bridal portraits, and our wedding pictures with her. We were so excited when we found out our engagement session was featured in the 2015 OBX Bride magazine and were even more excited after finding out our wedding will be featured in the 2016 OBX Bride magazine. We definitely owe these memories we will cherish forever to Kristi and all of her talent! From all of the small details like where to take our engagement pictures and where to take my bridal portraits, last minute photo print shipping Kristi had the answers and was one hundred percent supportive! She even sent us a 50% off future photo session after the wedding. Kristi was absolutely amazing. She made us feel so comfortable and beautifully captured all of the love between my husband and I in her photos. Thank you for all of the beautiful photos that we will cherish forever, Kristi! Kristi goes above and beyond to take excellent photos. Plus, you don't even notice when she is there during things like the ceremony, dance ect. She is so easy to work with, very kind and prompt. If you are getting married in OBX you NEED to have this photographer!!!

We love our wedding pictures from Kristi Midgette Photography! Kristi did a wonderful job capturing the perfect moments throughout our day! She took our pictures in beautiful locations (Coquina Beach and Manteo Waterfront), and she knew the most unique places to capture beautiful pictures! Kristi is great to work with. Your wedding day passes by so quickly, and Kristi's pictures help us to remember the sweet moments of our day.

Kristi did my engagement pictures and my wedding pictures. She's so creative and came up with amazing shots. My engagement pictures were taken on the beach and then later at sunset on a pier and she managed to capture the perfect lighting at each location. The pictures that I've seen so far of my wedding are absolutely stunning. My dress was very detailed and the pictures are so clear that you can see the lace and beading.
