There were things about my dress that I thought I just had to ignore, and get over it… but when I met Kristin, I told her my concerns and she didn’t even need to think twice she was like “I got you”. Finding "the" dress can be stressful enough... but finding someone to now take your perfect dress & make it exactly what you want can be even more stressful. The boutique I got my wedding dress from recommended Kristin and I am so thankful they did! SHE IS AWESOME!! Kristin is so nice and incredibly professional. She listened to exactly what I wanted for my dress and the final product is just stunning. My dress originally had some funky bust construction and she took care of it. I showed her pictures of the sleeves I wanted to add and she made my vision come true. Now, while the bustle for a dress may not seem like the most important thing, it definitely is a big deal! The bustle can either keep your dress looking great for the reception or add an unwanted silhouette. Kristin is serious about the bustle and talked me through the options that would best fit my dress without taking away the shape or adding a weird shape. She spends the time to make a short video on your phone walking you through your bustle for the big day. Because let's be honest, who is going to remember anything with all the emotions of your wedding day so the video is a lifesaver. Kristin's studio is in her beautiful home in Katy- so clean & welcoming. She is a joy to work with and made the alteration experience incredibly pleasant. So if you're in the Houston area, look her up (do it sooner rather than later bc she books up quick!) and book her! All I can say is...WOW! Kristin is absolutely INCREDIBLE! She is the sweetest person and made me feel so comfortable, and more importantly, she made my already beautiful wedding dress my dream dress! Kristin is an experienced and highly sought after bridal tailor who is worth the drive to Katy. She's friendly and will do her best to get you into her schedule, explaining the process and timeline with automated emails at the very start. She altered my crepe/trumpet style gown, my friend's massive satin ballgown and another friend's lace A-line -- all to our complete satisfaction. Her bustle videos also make that process a LOT easier day of. I'm already recommending her to several other engaged friends and know their dresses will be in good hands if they book with her!

Kristin was an absolute dream to work with on my wedding dress alterations! She truly knows her stuff and was able to help us add more to the bodice of my wedding dress. Her talent made the changes look like they had always been a part of the dress! She also helps video doing the bustle of the dress which is extremely helpful to have for your bridesmaids on the wedding day. The end result was better than I could have imagined, and I would HIGHLY recommend her. She was committed to ensuring I was 100% satisfied. Solid talent for sure.

Kristin was a DREAM to work with. She was so fun to just hang out and chat with during all my alterations appointment. My dress was a BEAST and she was able to not only take it in beautifully, but also to create a bustle for my giant train that was really easy for my bridesmaids to figure out and held throughout hours of dancing. Book her EARLY because he appointments fill fast.

Amazing experience working with Kristin. She was a top pick to do alterations on my dress, but before my first fitting with her I went to another tailor to get a comparison quote. I was sure that Kristin would quote me a higher price based on the stellar reviews I read and was trying to reason with myself on how much more I would be okay with. Well, her quote ended up being less, so I was super stoked! And she managed to fit me into her busy schedule even though I was on the later end of the “get your dress altered” timeline. I just had my final fitting with her and the dress turned out perfectly. She hemmed it, brought in/contoured the butt area, shortened the illusion back and fixed gaping, added a bustle, added cups, and fixed any other areas where gaping was occurring. She stayed within her original estimate to me as well as the timeline. Did a thorough bustle video tutorial for my bridesmaids to follow the day of and gave me tips on how to quickly loop the little back buttons. She was very nice and easy to talk to at each fitting; I enjoyed getting to know her, her passion for tailoring, and her family life. Highly recommend going to her even if you don’t live in Katy like me - it’s worth the drive! 16 days to go to my wedding and I can’t wait to show off her work and feel fabulous in my dress!!

Kristin is truly an expert and is amazing to work with. From the first appointment I felt comfortable and like I’d known her for years. She is so knowledgeable and she made my dress fit ME, not just took it in to be my size. Her pricing was fair and for my dress it was actually cheaper than an alterations “store” - which was such a breath of fresh air when I realized how much better my dress was going to look on me. It literally fit me like a glove and the entire process was smooth and stress free. The week before I was supposed to pick up my dress we had terrible weather and no power for days...and she reached out to reschedule but reassured me everything was going to be ready. I was not worried a bit and I loved that she didn’t wait for me to check in. She is truly a professional in all aspects but felt as if she was an old friend! If you’re looking for someone to alter your dress, she’s your gal!

Wow wow wow! Kristin helped turn my already beautiful (but sleeveless) wedding gown into an even more beautiful sleeved gown. She was honestly one of the nicest, most friendly people I have ever chatted with and has such a passion for her work. She seemed overjoyed at the prospect of doing custom alterations to my gown, and was so helpful and knowledgable, I trusted her to do it perfectly. Kristin was absolutely amazing! She was able to add length to my full lace sleeves, add length to the hem, and even loosen a tight neckline. She also found lace for the veil, and it looked incredible! She was such a pleasure to visit with, and I will be recommending her to my friends and family who will be married. Kristen was recommended to me by La Reve Bridal Couture. She works out of her home, but do not let that fool you into thinking she isn’t professional! I bought my dress at a sample sale, so naturally there were holes and rips from other girls trying it on. She patched up all of it and it didn’t even look like anything had happened to the dress--it looked brand new! During each fitting, she had me do multiple movements to see if I could sit, dance, kneel, everything. I felt so comfortable in my dress. She also did a beautiful bustle that was a little complicated, but she did an instructional video and my MOHs were able to follow along no problem! On the wedding day, I did have some incidents of people stepping on my dress and even one of the sleeves ripped—not due to Kristen, but because people just got a little too excited throughout the evening. I brought the dress to Kristen, and she said she would patch everything up and even bring it to La Reve to get it preserved! Talk about going above and beyond for her clients. Thank you for all your help!

Kristin is the best of the best and I am so happy with her work! I worked with Kristin to create a custom removable lace jacket and received so many compliments on it at my wedding! Everyone thought it was part of my dress and it added another level of romance to my look. She also flawlessly tailored my wedding dress which was not the easiest but she made it fit perfectly.

Wow does this woman know what she is doing! We were told to book her before we even had the wedding dress picked out, and we are so glad we did. The process is very straight-forward (standard is three visits) and completely reliable. It's important that you be able to trust the person altering your most special gown. Kristin is totally professional, incredibly knowledgeable and an amazing talent. My dress was complicated because of all the lace. Yours will have some other challenge, but Kristin will handle it with ease - and make you feel so comfortable (at a reasonable price). We drove 45 minutes each way for each visit, and are so glad we did!!

I never had to wait on a reply, she always helped with scheduling conflicts when I needed her to, she was an absolute joy to be around and most importantly, customized my dress to fit my body so perfectly. Kristin did a phenomenal job altering my dress. When I came in it was boxy fitting, way too long, didn’t fit my chest right and lacked a bustle. The end product was a gorgeous perfect fitting dress.

Be prepared to spend several hundred dollars for your alterations but also know it will be well worth it! Kristen will fit your dress perfectly to your silhouette and you will not regret using her. KRISTIN IS AN ARTIST. Before I met with her, I thought, "oh, alterations are just alterations, you can get them done anywhere and it's the same." Oh my gosh, Kristin sincerely opened my eyes to a whole new world. My mom and I were literally giddy when we left our first meeting with her, she is INCREDIBLE at what she does, and I would trust her with any wedding dress on any body type. I didn't even know I could be excited about alterations. :-) She corrected little things on my dress that I didn't even realize needed to be corrected, and I promise you it was not just to make an extra buck. She took my already-beautiful dress and made it EVEN better. She explained every little detail and why she was making the alterations that she did. And the bustle - oh my gosh. I am very picky about wedding dress bustles, because I always worry that it transforms a dress, and not always for the better. Let me tell you, my bustle was so beautiful that my dress looked just as beautiful bustled as it did without. She is a master at her craft and I highly recommend her!

Kristin is utterly amazing at her craft. I purchased my wedding dress from La Reve Bridal Couture in Sugarland, Texas. They did not have an alterations staff and offered recommendations. Kristin was #1 on their list and so I went with her. You have to book your appointments at least 6 months in advance and for good reason. I had so many compliments on my wedding dress alterations. My dress has a 7' train and required a pretty extravagant bustle. I let Kristin work with her recommendations and the outcome was just outstanding. The dress fit like a glove and was fit to my body. The bustle was incredible and gave a unique element to my dress. I really could not have been more pleased with the final outcome. I looked and felt so lovely in every instance I wore my dress. My (now) husband was in love. Thank you, Kristin.

I bought a sample wedding dress that was a few sizes big on me. Kristin made it fit me impeccably! And she put in a beautiful French Bustle. It looked like a lacey waterfall when it was done up. She was easy to work with, incredibly organized and she's excellent at what she does! Highly highly recommend, any dress, any fabric.

She is absolutely amazing, and is so knowledgeable in what she does! From the very first fitting you can tell she knows designers and how they structure dresses. When I went for my 3rd fitting (supposed to be my last) I was not comfortable with how my strapless dress was fitting in my chest area, Kristin could tell right away that I was uncomfortable and asked “what would be my perfect dress.” The next thing we are laying scrapes from other dresses to see what strapes would look like...she transformed my dress into something completely different and I was in LOVE! The strapes looked amazing and like the were always apart of my dress, and many complimented they were there favorite part of my dress at our wedding!

I would highly recommend Kristen to any bride to be who needs to have their dress altered. She is very talented, professional, timely, and so friendly! I loved working with her and my dress turned out beautifully. She made the adjustments I requested and was thoughtful enough to add a second clasp on my straps to make them tighter as the night went on. This was a life saver as my dress did want to be a little loose on the dance floor so adjusting the straps kept me from embarrassing myself! I never would have even considered asking for this but was so grateful it was there!

Kristin is fabulous - from her personality to her expertise in alterations! She definitely knows what she is doing. I was 100% confident in her and had no doubt that she was going to do a great job! She knew exactly what needed to be altered, cinched in, let out, etc to make the gown look beautiful on me. She was able to sew on a beaded belt and created a french bustle that was "user friendly" for my bridesmaids. Kristin did an absolutely incredible job with my wedding dress. From the moment I walked into her studio, she went down to business – I loved it! She is so knowledgeable and made all alterations look easy! Nothing was impossible! I did not know how, but she always knew what to do at every fitting. My dress fit perfectly. It hugged in all the right places without any constriction! I also looked and felt like I had a curvy, hour glass shape (which does not happen every often, haha!). I also was super (super!) comfortable in it throughout my entire wedding day! I was able to sit, eat, dance, walk, etc. without hesitation, frustration, or fear that something would happen to the dress. Kristin does amazing work. I highly recommend her. Kristin is the best!! I’ve been to her for my wedding gown in 2013, a bridesmaid dress in 2014, and a maid of honor dress in 2017. I drive almost an hour each way to see her and wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else! She is so sweet, professional, honest, talented, and wonderful! Kristin is amazingly talented! She was able to take my mother's wedding dress and my grandmother's wedding dress and turn them into one gown for me. It was incredibly special to me to be able to honor both of them in that way. I still can't believe how beautiful it turned out! Kristin is a MIRACLE WORKER. I came to her with a wedding dress that was multiple sizes too big and wanted to add custom, delicate lace sleeves to the dress as well. Not only did Kristin tailor the large dress until it fit my body like a glove and gave me a rocking hourglass figure, but she added the most beautiful lace sleeves I have ever seen onto my dress. You can't even tell the dress started out strapless because her alterations are so seamless. Kristin isn't your average tailor who does what you request and nothing more, even if the look of your garment requires otherwise. She went above and beyond and spent time on every little detail. She added buttons to the inner wrists of my sleeves, spent a whole fitting going over each lace piece and where I wanted them to lay on my arms, added loops in the corset back to thread my strapless bra through so it would be hidden, and created color-coded bustle ribbons so my Maid of Honor can bustle my dress in no time on the big day. Just to name a few! After four fittings, I have to admit, I was a little sad leaving with my dress last night. Kristin's appointments have been such a highlight of my wedding experience! She took away all of my worries about the dress and created something better than I could have ever imagined. I can't recommend her enough to every Houston bride!

Kristin is amazing and one of the best seamstress (if not the best) I've ever come across! I bought my wedding dress at a sample sale. It turned out beyond beautiful and I received so many compliments. I was able to wear 3 different looks between my ceremony, formal pictures and the reception. Kristin is the best. She altered my sister's wedding gown last minute to fix another seamstress' mistakes. LET ME TELL YOU. She was a life saver for my sister and we are so glad another lady messed up the dress and that we found Kristin. Fast forward a couple years and I knew I also had to work with Kristin for my wedding . She is booked, fully, way in advance so I emailed her and prayed. I didn't think she would remember me and my sister from before but she did and agreed to tailor my gown!!!! (We still had 6 months so not a rush this time) I have absolute trust in everything she says and does and for good reason. My gown is amazing and fit better than perfect (if that is even possible!). I never once wanted to take the dress off and change. She even supported me in wearing it on the plane to the honeymoon!! ( I didn't because, bathrooms on planes!) When we asked her opinion on taking out some layers she told us why we shouldn't. She even counted them and said why I needed each one!! I'm so glad I listened to her. Kristin is the BEST! I was a little nervous about getting my dress hemmed because I bought it from a boutique in Ohio and flew back with it (long story). But after seeing her past work and meeting her, I had no doubt she would rock it! Sure enough she did. She listened to my little requests and went out of her way to replace a button on my dress! I would highly recommend Kristin, she's awesome, professional and very good at what she does!

My satin strapless dress fit me so well that I did not have to hike it up once during my ceremony, formal photos, and reception. That's more than 10 hours of wear! I can't thank Kristin enough for all of her hard work on my dress. I really couldn't even envision what my wedding dress would look like when I first got it, it must hung on me looking like a huge expensive lace table cloth! She really pulled together my vision of the dress and changed it to make it unique for me. I got so many compliments on the dress and my mom cried she couldn't believe all of the changes she made and how far the dress had come. She never thought it'd fit right and I had her redo do the entire top taking it from a off the shoulder dress to strapless. She built a bra into my dress so that it could be a strapless dress. Than after she added the belt we ran into a snag when the dress kept wrinkling at the waist from the weight of the belt. But it was no problem for Kristin she added drapery weights to pull out the wrinkle! The dress is one of the most important things on a wedding day and I made a wonderful decision entrusting her to alter it for me. It really was a pleasure working with her and you will not regret choosing her as your seamstress for your big day! She's also very reasonably priced when compared to other couture alterations shops.

Kristin is the best choice for wedding dress alterations. Aside from her exquisite ability to make your dress fit perfectly and beautifully, she is one of the nicest people ever. As soon as you walk in her door, she is already picking up where your last conversation ended. She is truly interested in all of her brides, which makes standing in a dress while getting pinned much more enjoyable!

I LOVED working with Kristin! Every appointment I had with her was fun and light which took a lot of the stress out of fittings. I was nervous about adding a bustle to my gown as I had seen so many come undone at other weddings. Kristin assured me she was the "bustle queen" and she definitely delivered! She showed us exactly how to bustle everything and on the big day everything was perfect!

Kristin is so wonderful! She really has an eye for detail and is definitely fair with her prices. She used to do a lot of dance/theatre costuming so she really understands how to alter a garment in such a way that you are comfortable and can easily move. She is such an easy person to work with and genuinely took an interest in getting to know me. I felt like my alterations were really complicated and initially was really freaked out when another seamstress told me my dress was exceedingly complicated and would take over 1,000 dollars worth of alterations. However, Kristin made my dream come true and did a beautiful job. She's the best!!!!
