Kristin did our engagement and wedding photos and they are all absolutely incredible! Before we even had a session with Kristin, she was super helpful and responsive. After coming across Kristin’s Instagram, we knew she was the photographer for us. We loved how she captured joy, levity, brightness and love in her photos. She helped us feel comfortable and laugh as well as have intimate moments. Kristin is truly a master of her craft. I’ve looked at our wedding gallery 30 times (within the last 12 hours) already and cannot pick a favorite!

Kristin is a dream. Our wedding pictures turned out amazing—so timeless. She gave a ton of direction, which was so appreciated. It made us feel comfortable and more confident in posing. We were drawn to her work because it didn’t look like the latest Instagram trend. Her photos are elevated, romantic, and classic. We had a backyard wedding in July in Texas, when I was seven months pregnant. So this was like Plan F of our original wedding plans that were all thwarted by Covid, and I was down on then whole idea. During our initial call with Kristin, she made me feel excited for my Plan F wedding. She encouraged us to do a first look and a dance, which we initially thought our little casual affair didn’t need. She was so right. You couldn’t do better for a photographer. Her eye is amazing. Her pictures are flawless. And she is also a blast to be around and will make even the most awkward person feel comfortable. She made me feel pretty in my third trimester, in the middle of summer in Texas, so she works miracles!

We were blown away with how beautifully our photos turned out!! Kristin is an artist, and with her mix of digital and film photography, she provides you with such a gorgeous variety of photos that feel both natural/candid and like they could be on the cover of a magazine. She was absolutely fabulous to work with, helping us plan out our whole day-of schedule and giving us great advice and tips on timing, locations, lighting and all of the little details that are so easy to miss throughout the planning process. Finally, she helped to make the actual wedding day so enjoyable, saying things to make us laugh out loud and genuinely smile while taking our photos. We had our engagement pictures done by Kristin and most recently our wedding pictures. Kristin is beyond amazing and one of the first people I booked in the whole wedding process because I knew how fast she gets booked! Photography was one of the top priorities for our wedding and she does not disappoint. She is incredibly professional, lovely, responsive, kind, and takes THE most gorgeous pictures of all time. Kristin is amazing. We used her for a two-part engagement shoot. Our communication in advance was great, and she was very patient and flexible with me. On the day-of, she was wonderful to work with. We could not be happier with our wedding pictures, or with the experience we had working with Kristin. Kristin is beyond talented and is well worth every dollar you spend on her. We were OBSESSED with our wedding photos and got many, many compliments from our friends and family. One of my coworkers loved them so much she sent them to her Mom (whom I have never met) and her Mom said that these photos were unlike any other wedding photos that she had ever seen - that she could actually feel the emotion of the day through the photos. Besides producing flawless photos, she's also a fly on the wall during the day, doesn't make you feel weird or awkward posing. I wish I could give Kristin 100 stars! I was engaged for 5 years and knew that my photographer was going to be my main priority. Kristin is pretty pricey but worth every penny! I'm happy with every sacrifice I made to have the beautiful photos. My husband and I are both horrible at taking pictures and my family never smiles. She managed to make everyone feel comfortable, laugh, and gave us amazing pictures. There are so many photos where people asked "how did she capture that moment", which says it all! Kristin is bright and such a positive person to have around and once the wedding gets started she and her team just slips into the background, running around getting amazing shots. Kristin was amazing! I LOVE her fine art photography. We had our wedding in April 2017. Kristin photographed our engagement photo session and our wedding. She was definitely a breath of fresh air during our wedding planning, as she was super easy to work with and made us feel very comfortable the entire time. A very talented photographer, I was drawn to her work due to her use of real film, which has such a beautiful soft look, against the digital camera obsessed time we're in!

Super disappointed. Our initial conversation was amazing and I had fully intended on booking with Kristin. After our convo, she sent me a contract to review with an expiration date of 01/31/17 and left me with a verbal assurance that she would inform me if anyone else was interested in my date. I forwarded the contact to my in-laws for review since they would be the ones paying for it. My father left her a voicemail a couple days before the contact expiration date with a couple questions needing clarification before it was signed, and she responded the next day (still before the contact expiration date) that oops, the couple days we took to review the contact was too long and she was already booked! With no mention to me that anyone else was interested. I understand it can be competitive to secure dates for vendors, but in EVERY other case if somebody sends you a contact they absolutely don't re-nig on it before the expiration date, especially without warning. As I said, I was fully intent on booking with her, most likely at the most expensive price point offered for her packages, but am now left in a lurch to start my search all over again. In my opinion, was definitely handled very unprofessionally and was a big waste of my time and now adding stress to an already stressful process!

Choosing Kristin La Voie Photography was easily the best wedding decision I made. She truly captured the most beautiful photos and I could not be any happier. Kristin is extremely quick to respond and extremely professional. She made the whole planning process stress free! She is so funny, relaxed, easy going and just so much fun to be around and so much fun to work with! Not only was I amazed by all the photos, but the presentation of the USB and photo album is beyond beautiful and extremely high end. From the first e-mail, first phone conversation, and first meeting to the last phone call (thanking her again for her fabulous photos), Kristin was incredible and everything we wanted in a photographer for our outdoor July wedding. She is very personable and working with her felt like hanging out with a close friend. We hired Kristin and her assistant to take our separate photos as we got ready, and had them both during our first look, portrait photos, candids, ceremony, and reception. I wanted to recreate photos that were taken at my parent's wedding, and Kristin had printed out the photos and given them to her other assistant (3 total people), and was checking them off once we got the poses we wanted. While taking photos, Kristin was very professional, but also made us laugh, which helped to create very natural looking photos. She was very efficient in getting our families together for larger group shots, and was able to capture our day perfectly. Kristin and her assistant took photos of not only my husband and I, but also of our guests, capturing moments we otherwise would have never seen. Kristin has an eye for photography, and was very quick to post a sneak peek on her blog (only about 3 weeks after the wedding), and sent us a link to our photos after about 4 weeks. In the meantime, she posted some of the photos on her Instagram account. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, and we will treasure them forever. I would recommend Kristin without hesitation; she was absolutely fantastic!

Kristin is the best! I recommend her wholeheartedly to anybody who is looking for an amazing photographer. We recently did a shoot with Kristin and were a little nervous about how we would do. Kristin was professional and creative and her great sense of humor had us laughing and comfortable the whole time. By the end of the shoot we felt like models! We felt great after the shoot, and her photos were beyond beautiful. She brought out the best in us and really used her surroundings to create the most gorgeous photos. I'm so happy we were lucky enough to work with Kristin and happily recommend her as an experienced professional with a fun personality!

I would give Kristin a thousand stars if i could! We had originally chosen another photographer before we even knew about Kristin but that photographer was not available for our date. We met and talked to a couple more photographers and couldn't find one that really stood out, so we asked for recommendations from the photographer that we had originally chosen that was unavailable. They provided several recommendations and Kristin was one of them. Her photos speak for themselves, my fiancé got emotional as soon as he saw her portfolio and we knew immediately that she was the one we wanted to capture our special moments on our special day. We had our engagement session in early September and I honestly can't say whether my favorite part was the pictures themselves or having them taken. Kristin is magical behind that lens, her personality is magnetic. I'm a little camera shy but I certainly didn't feel that way that day. Somehow she made me feel so comfortable that I was able to focus on my fiancé, not the camera, so my expressions were genuine and it made the photos look truly amazing. On top of that she had some really fun ideas on poses and places to take pictures...who would have ever thought of taking a picture of us smooching in the middle of a busy crosswalk?? It was one of the many super creative ideas she had that day and it looked amazing. I have zero clue why she's not the best of the best on the Knot, she must be Chicago's best kept secret for photographers. She's a hidden gem, and we're so very blessed to have found her. There is no one on earth we would trust to capture what will be the most amazing moments of our lives more than her. I can't say enough, there really aren't words... All I can really say is that if you book Kristin to take your photos for any life event at all you won't be disappointed!!!

There were two things I knew I had to have when planning my wedding. One was a beautiful destination wedding in Hawaii and the other was Kristin La Voie. We have followed Kristin for several years and she has done photos for our family multiple times. Having her photograph our wedding was a no-brainer! She was extremely flexible with planning the details of our Hawaiian wedding and helped keep a pushy videographer at bay so we could get the amazing photographs we knew only Kristin could capture. Having our wedding in Hawaii was a dream come true but having Kristin be there with us was the cherry on top. Our New Mr. & Mrs. session the next day was so much fun. The weather was a little on the dreary side with a constant mist in the air, but Kristin said she was willing to shoot as long as we could stand the weather or her camera broke. Thankfully, her camera did not break and we did not get swept away by huge waves, but instead got magazine quality images to cherish forever! The hardest decisions you will have to make when working with Kristin are which to get printed as canvases or portraits because you will want every single image throughout your home. We love her and only wish we could have her photograph all our family events and not just weddings. You will not regret having Kristin La Voie photography be a part of your wedding day!

Not only is Kristin massively talented with her camera (hello, have you seen her ridiculously drool-worthy portfolio?), but she is also genuinely funny, friendly, and easy going. Everyone has their priorities and my husband was adamant that photography needed to be a high priority for us. She did absolutely fantastic work and we will never regret our decision. Our wedding was wonderful and we were so happy that the pictures projected every emotion and all of the beauty as we remember it. Kristin and her team were a pleasure to work with and kept us relaxed and having fun on our wedding day. She was by far the most reliable and helpful vendor. Kristin always replied very quickly to our emails, she offered her opinions which we really valued. For example we got married in Chicago during Lollapalooza weekend and Kristin really deterred us from having our pictures taken at Millennium Park. Instead she suggested Olive Park and we have the most beautiful photos I've ever seen from any wedding. Even though I grew up in Chicago I'd never been to Olive Park so kudos to Kristin for knowing the best spots in town for beautiful pictures. The nicest thing about Kristin is she likes to capture raw emotion and she makes you feel comfortable. As you can see from her portfolio her pictures make everything look very romantic and beautiful and what more could you want for your wedding memories.

From my first meeting with Kristin, I couldn't wait to book her for our September 13 wedding. Her energy is amazing and she could not be more passionate and excited to create some absolutely stunning memories. Her work speaks for itself... I have known Kristin since High School, and had no idea how talented she was until I looked at her work. I knew before I was even engaged that I wanted to use her for my wedding. Kristin is great! She pays attention to the details you will forget, and is more organized than anyone I know...including myself. The photographer can sometimes be a burden or another hassle, but when you work with Kristin, that is totally NOT the case. It took me a long time to find a photographer. This is because many photographers are apart of a huge company and never get a chance to get to know the bride and groom. Kristin gets to know her clients. She is extremely professional and talented. I also chose her because of her creativity with her photos. She is very artistic. I was very particular when I was looking for photographers for our October wedding. But from the second I saw Kristin's photos, I fell in love. Her aesthetic is so warm, and romantic. There were many other talented photographers, but her photos were the only one that really captured the warmth and happiness I wanted to remember my wedding day. She is definitely more expensive than a lot of other photographers we looked at, but photos were a very high priority for me, so it was worth it. Our engagement session created the most magical photos. People told me they looked like a magazine photo spread. They are truly fab. Kristin is amazing through every step of the process. From the moment you book with her until she sends you your photos, you will be taken care of. I booked with Kristin a week after getting engaged because I had been following her work on Facebook and she was the one thing I was sure about from the very beginning (aside from the person I was marrying of course, haha). I was elated to find out she was available for my date. Her responses from them on out were extremely prompt, usually within the hour. She answered every possible question I had. Right off the bat I felt very secure in my decision. The engagement session went amazingly well and I couldn't believe how many different types of photos she got in just an hour. We had so many great photos to choose from for our save the dates!! And our smiles looked natural because her presence made us feel genuinely happy. When it came time for the wedding day, Kristin and her team swooped in and took charge in the best way possible. I was kind of all over the place, and when she got there she stepped in as almost a coordinator or sorts. I really needed that. I found myself asking her throughout the night questions like "when are we supposed to do the bouquet toss?".... I was clueless, and she was a saint. The strangest part though, is that even though she was so involved, nobody noticed they were even there. Everyone who was at my wedding and then saw the pictures kept asking me "When did she take this picture?! We didn't even see her!!". Kristin somehow manages to be 100% involved and there for you, while also being 100% unobtrusive and out of the way. It's a remarkable talent. And after all of that, we have the most incredible photos to show for it. Photos I will treasure for the rest of my life. We received a sneak peek days later on our honeymoon that brought me to tears. Just a couple weeks later, we received hundreds of amazing photos that captured every aspect so perfectly. Kristin is a one of a kind talent. She's a sure bet, and I would recommend her to everyone.

We hired Kristin for our September 2014 wedding and she was amazing! Kristin and her team were my favorite vendors that we worked with. She is very sweet and outgoing and makes you feel completely comfortable during your big day. This is especially important when most of us aren't used to being followed around by cameras the entire day! My fiancé and I decided to forego a videographer and used our "photography" budget on just a photographer, and Kristin was worth every penny. Not only was she super thorough, but a blast to work with. She made us feel so comfortable during the whole process!! We have amazing engagement and wedding photos that will last a lifetime. Our experience with Kristin has been nothing short of magical. We even got a little surprise recently - a slideshow of some wedding pictures set to great music - it was the best surprise ever, and we teared up when we all watched it. She took our Engagement and Wedding photos and not only were the results mind blowing, she also made us feel comfortable and relaxed during our sessions. Being a professional wedding photographer myself I had the hardest time finding a wedding photographer, as Kristin was booked on my date. After searching high and low I decided to change my wedding date so that Kristin could shoot my wedding, that was the best decision I made! Being a photographer myself I had a vision in my head of what I wanted the photographs to look like and I seriously was blown away how beautiful the images turned out! I LOVE Kristin La Voie Photography. So far we have only had our engagement session but it turned out better than I could have asked for. Kristin is absolutely amazing. One of the first things I did when we got engaged was to look at wedding photographers. Photography was one of the most important things to me and something I wanted to book very early on. After looking at tons of photographers websites, we decided to hire her over two years ago for our wedding and engagement photos. She did our engagement photos last year and they were amazing. We got lots of photos back and we loved the all. We received so many compliments on them! I knew we made the perfect choice for our photographer. We were just married on 9/21/13 and although we've only seen her Facebook sneak peek (which we adore) we are sure our photos will be as amazing as our engagement photos. Kristin is the second photographer we booked for our wedding this past August. The first one freaked out and basically canceled on us 3 weeks before the wedding when I expressed some concern about not liking some of the engagement photos. She said my expectations were too high and that what I was asking for was unrealistic. By some miracle Kristin happened to be available for my date and did not seem at all concerned when I described what I was looking for. I booked her immediately and am so glad that I did! She was professional, fun to work with, and delivers AMAZING photos. I don't know how else to describe the difference except to say that the photos I got with Kristin are what you see on pinterest and in magazines, the photos I got with the first photographer were just not. I would absolutely recommend her and can't wait to work with her in the future - she also does baby photos!
