Every click of our camera is a precisely calculated snap to tell the story of your day. Your children, their children, and the neighbor's children will be able to flip through your album and instantly feel all of the love and excitement you shared on your big day. Your mother wiping a tear from her eye, the gentle stroke you gave each other's hands clasped together and hidden on your laps during your Best Man's toast, your baby cousin Tommy wailing on Great Grandma's lap as she secretly pinched his chubby arms with a smirk on her face. I would absolutely recommend Kristin to anyone looking to have an amazing experience with their wedding and/or engagement photos! She is such a ball of energy and her vibes are infectious, making both my fiance (who sometimes can have a little bit of a stiff smile) smile and laugh so genuinely that the photos are just incredible. Not only did she make our experience wonderful, but Kristin worked so well with our videographers and at our venue, both of which she had never worked at/with before. Her turnaround time for our photos was also impressive and the photo album she created for us was such a beautifully comprehensive review of our day for us to enjoy. I can't emphasize enough how much I loved having Kristin as our wedding photographer - she is simply the best!

Kristin is the ultimate photographer. She’s a hype woman, a girl’s girl (and I’m sure a guy’s girl too!) and the talent is beyonnnnd *chefs kiss* I found Kristin on instagram searching for Austin photographers and I’m so glad I did. She did my maternity shoot for my first pregnancy and the pictures were beyond gorgeous. She made me feel so at ease, she is HILARIOUS (which I feel is very important in making people feel comfortable being photographed) and she knows how to get you to look your best. Her work speaks for itself honestly. Besides her maternity work, I am still so in awe of her wedding photography and that’s not even what I used her for! Don’t hesitate, book her! 10/10 would recommend!

Kristin is truly one of a kind. I have never done a professional photo shoot before and was hesitant to do a maternity shoot but thought it would be a good idea to capture this special moment. Kristin definitely demonstrated her expertise and professionalism. I left the vision up to her and she ran with it. I always thought of myself as not that photogenic, but Kristin gave me the confidence to "strut my stuff." Her energy and positivity was truly encouraging and made me feel like a professional model. Kristin did our engagement and wedding photos and they are all absolutely incredible! Before we even had a session with Kristin, she was super helpful and responsive. She gave vendor recommendations and timeline suggestions which were greatly appreciated! I had trouble deciding on a location for our engagement photos and Kristin did a great job at giving recommendations. We had so much fun shooting with her and I immediately knew we made the right choice. Kristin is so fun to be around! She’s funny, she’s the ultimate hype girl, and she gives great direction. Kristin helped make my wedding day truly incredible and we had a blast spending all day with her. I’m so sad that it’s all over now, but we would rehire in a heartbeat! She is such a gem and you will never regret booking her!
Kristin was absolutely amazing from beginning to end!! To start she quick to respond every time, extremely helpful to answer all questions, and just so easy to talk with making leading up to our wedding so easy. After coming across Kristin’s Instagram, we knew she was the photographer for us. We loved how she captured joy, levity, brightness and love in her photos. She helped us feel comfortable and laugh as well as have intimate moments. Kristin is truly a master of her craft. I’ve looked at our wedding gallery 30 times (within the last 12 hours) already and cannot pick a favorite!
Kristin is a dream. Our wedding pictures turned out amazing—so timeless. She gave a ton of direction, which was so appreciated. It made us feel comfortable and more confident in posing. We were drawn to her work because it didn’t look like the latest Instagram trend. Her photos are elevated, romantic, and classic.
We had a backyard wedding in July in Texas, when I was seven months pregnant. So this was like Plan F of our original wedding plans that were all thwarted by Covid, and I was down on then whole idea. During our initial call with Kristin, she made me feel excited for my Plan F wedding. She encouraged us to do a first look and a dance, which we initially thought our little casual affair didn’t need. She was so right.
You couldn’t do better for a photographer. Her eye is amazing. Her pictures are flawless. And she is also a blast to be around and will make even the most awkward person feel comfortable. She made me feel pretty in my third trimester, in the middle of summer in Texas, so she works miracles!
We were blown away with how beautifully our photos turned out!! Kristin is an artist, and with her mix of digital and film photography, she provides you with such a gorgeous variety of photos that feel both natural/candid and like they could be on the cover of a magazine.
She was absolutely fabulous to work with, helping us plan out our whole day-of schedule and giving us great advice and tips on timing, locations, lighting and all of the little details that are so easy to miss throughout the planning process.
Finally, she helped to make the actual wedding day so enjoyable, saying things to make us laugh out loud and genuinely smile while taking our photos. She makes the whole process feel very natural and fun.

We had our engagement pictures done by Kristin and most recently our wedding pictures. Kristin is beyond amazing and one of the first people I booked in the whole wedding process because I knew how fast she gets booked! Photography was one of the top priorities for our wedding and she does not disappoint. She is incredibly professional, lovely, responsive, kind, and takes THE most gorgeous pictures of all time. Seriously, she works magic behind the camera. She also makes you feel very comfortable and makes you laugh in a way where you feel so at ease when you’re having your pictures taken. Don’t even think twice about booking her for anything, she is hands down the most talented photographer I have ever seen.
The reason we chose to work with Kristin was because my sister used her for their wedding and loved the way it turned out. When we saw our published album Kristin completely surpassed our expectations. The variety of moments truly have meaning behind them and share our story. We LOVED working with Kristin! We booked an hour session, and received so many gorgeous photos that we love. She posed us perfectly down to the very hairs on our head, and had such attention to detail. Kristin is amazing. We used her for a two-part engagement shoot. Our communication in advance was great, and she was very patient and flexible with me. On the day-of, she was wonderful to work with. We had some photos taken with our dogs, and she was amazing with them! She is fun and kind to work with -- and of course, she is so talented, and her photos are amazing! Definitely recommend Kristin.

I absolutely loved having Kristin as our engagement & wedding photographer! She was nothing short of spectacular! She is an incredibly skilled photographer & her ability to make us look stunning during our engagement photo shoot, despite my husband having one of the most frustrating events ever happen minutes before our shoot, blew us both away! Kristin is amazing!! I knew from the moment I saw her portfolio that I wanted to work with her, and then as soon as we spoke on the phone for the first time it was confirmed! She's super talented and is a master at working with light. Her whimsical, light and airy style was exactly what we were looking for, and she has an amazing ability to capture the essence of every couple/wedding she shoots. Kristin is simply the BEST in the biz. Kristin took the time to get to know me and my fiancé well before our wedding day so we felt comfortable in front of the camera and with her team. We could not be happier with our wedding pictures, or with the experience we had working with Kristin. When planning our wedding, I knew that having a wonderful, experienced, professional photographer was the most important thing to me. I'd heard that your wedding day seems to be over in an instant (update: it's true!) and I knew I wanted to have beautiful photos to look back on and remember the day. When my husband and I were looking through our pictures, we truly felt like we were reliving our wedding. Kristin and her second photographer, Matt, captured the most stunning yet natural looking shots of us as a couple, and also every special moment from the ceremony and reception. Kristin is incredibly talented and her pictures all look like they belong in a magazine! Aside from her beautiful photography, Kristin is so friendly, organized, and easy to work with. She has the gift of instantly putting people at ease, and my husband and I felt totally comfortable with her- which is so important on such a big day. I loved everything about my wedding and worked with many wonderful vendors, but booking with Kristin was by far the best choice we made throughout the whole process- because when the cake is eaten and the flowers are gone, the pictures are what you will have forever!

Kristin shot my boudoir photos and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was very nervous to do them at all but she made me feel like a professional model during our hour together. She got amazing shots and the album I received from my package was such a great gift to give my husband on the day of our wedding. I would 100% recommend her.
Kristin and her team are so incredibly warm, personable, professional and talented - we loved working with everyone and the finished product was all we wanted and more!! As someone who has always shied away from having their photo taken, I literally had zero worries. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kristin La Voie Photography! From start to finish, Kristin was a dream to work with. Her talent alone is incredible but her professionalism, experience, responsiveness and helpfulness were the icing on the cake. My wedding (and engagement) photos are BEYOND wonderful. Kristin is beyond talented and is well worth every dollar you spend on her. We were OBSESSED with our wedding photos and got many, many compliments from our friends and family. One of my coworkers loved them so much she sent them to her Mom (whom I have never met) and her Mom said that these photos were unlike any other wedding photos that she had ever seen - that she could actually feel the emotion of the day through the photos. Besides producing flawless photos, she's also a fly on the wall during the day, doesn't make you feel weird or awkward posing. This is more important than you realize, because your wedding day can go by so fast, the last thing you would want is an annoying photographer pulling you away every second. She's super fun and makes you laugh, that helped us a ton during our engagement photos. I honestly don't know how to thank her enough for capturing our day. My husband was not to excited to spend the money, but when we got the photos back he told me she was worth every penny and more! She's tough to nail down and is in high demand, so request her ASAP. Wow! What An amazing photographer. If there's one thing I didn't second guess while planning my wedding it was booking kristin. Not only is she extremely talented and your pictures will turn out like they belong in a magazine but she makes it so much fun! There's few people that really enjoy getting their picture taken but she knows how to make you comfortable. If you want gorgeous, natural looking photos taken by a true professional- look no further. I wish I could give Kristin 100 stars! I was engaged for 5 years and knew that my photographer was going to be my main priority. Kristin is pretty pricey but worth every penny! I'm happy with every sacrifice I made to have the beautiful photos. My husband and I are both horrible at taking pictures and my family never smiles. She managed to make everyone feel comfortable, laugh, and gave us amazing pictures. There are so many photos where people asked "how did she capture that moment", which says it all! Kristin is bright and such a positive person to have around and once the wedding gets started she and her team just slips into the background, running around getting amazing shots. I cannot say enough good things about Kristin except hurry up and book her! You'll want to book her first before anything else to make sure she available - she's THAT GOOD.

Kristin was amazing! I LOVE her fine art photography. We had our wedding in April 2017. Kristin photographed our engagement photo session and our wedding. She was definitely a breath of fresh air during our wedding planning, as she was super easy to work with and made us feel very comfortable the entire time. We received our hard copy photo album and we are in love. Her work is honestly BREATHTAKING and we couldn't be happier. We would definitely recommend Kristin. Kristin's work is AMAZING.
Kristin was incredible to work with - super responsive and enthusiastic! We did both engagement and wedding day with her, besides being fun to be around, our photos turned out gorgeous. A very talented photographer, I was drawn to her work due to her use of real film, which has such a beautiful soft look, against the digital camera obsessed time we're in!
Super disappointed. Our initial conversation was amazing and I had fully intended on booking with Kristin. After our convo, she sent me a contract to review with an expiration date of 01/31/17 and left me with a verbal assurance that she would inform me if anyone else was interested in my date. I forwarded the contact to my in-laws for review since they would be the ones paying for it. My father left her a voicemail a couple days before the contact expiration date with a couple questions needing clarification before it was signed, and she responded the next day (still before the contact expiration date) that oops, the couple days we took to review the contact was too long and she was already booked! With no mention to me that anyone else was interested. I understand it can be competitive to secure dates for vendors, but in EVERY other case if somebody sends you a contact they absolutely don't re-nig on it before the expiration date, especially without warning. As I said, I was fully intent on booking with her, most likely at the most expensive price point offered for her packages, but am now left in a lurch to start my search all over again. In my opinion, was definitely handled very unprofessionally and was a big waste of my time and now adding stress to an already stressful process!
Choosing Kristin La Voie Photography was easily the best wedding decision I made. She truly captured the most beautiful photos and I could not be any happier. Kristin is extremely quick to respond and extremely professional. She made the whole planning process stress free! She is so funny, relaxed, easy going and just so much fun to be around and so much fun to work with! Not only was I amazed by all the photos, but the presentation of the USB and photo album is beyond beautiful and extremely high end. I would recommend her to any future bride - I promise she won't let you down!
From the first e-mail, first phone conversation, and first meeting to the last phone call (thanking her again for her fabulous photos), Kristin was incredible and everything we wanted in a photographer for our outdoor July wedding. She is very personable and working with her felt like hanging out with a close friend. We hired Kristin and her assistant to take our separate photos as we got ready, and had them both during our first look, portrait photos, candids, ceremony, and reception. I wanted to recreate photos that were taken at my parent's wedding, and Kristin had printed out the photos and given them to her other assistant (3 total people), and was checking them off once we got the poses we wanted. While taking photos, Kristin was very professional, but also made us laugh, which helped to create very natural looking photos. She was very efficient in getting our families together for larger group shots, and was able to capture our day perfectly. Kristin and her assistant took photos of not only my husband and I, but also of our guests, capturing moments we otherwise would have never seen. Kristin has an eye for photography, and was very quick to post a sneak peek on her blog (only about 3 weeks after the wedding), and sent us a link to our photos after about 4 weeks. In the meantime, she posted some of the photos on her Instagram account. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, and we will treasure them forever. I would recommend Kristin without hesitation; she was absolutely fantastic!

Kristin is the best! I recommend her wholeheartedly to anybody who is looking for an amazing photographer. We recently did a shoot with Kristin and were a little nervous about how we would do. Kristin was professional and creative and her great sense of humor had us laughing and comfortable the whole time. By the end of the shoot we felt like models! We felt great after the shoot, and her photos were beyond beautiful. She brought out the best in us and really used her surroundings to create the most gorgeous photos. I'm so happy we were lucky enough to work with Kristin and happily recommend her as an experienced professional with a fun personality!
I would give Kristin a thousand stars if i could! We had originally chosen another photographer before we even knew about Kristin but that photographer was not available for our date. We met and talked to a couple more photographers and couldn't find one that really stood out, so we asked for recommendations from the photographer that we had originally chosen that was unavailable. They provided several recommendations and Kristin was one of them. Her photos speak for themselves, my fiancé got emotional as soon as he saw her portfolio and we knew immediately that she was the one we wanted to capture our special moments on our special day. We had our engagement session in early September and I honestly can't say whether my favorite part was the pictures themselves or having them taken. Kristin is magical behind that lens, her personality is magnetic. I'm a little camera shy but I certainly didn't feel that way that day. Somehow she made me feel so comfortable that I was able to focus on my fiancé, not the camera, so my expressions were genuine and it made the photos look truly amazing. On top of that she had some really fun ideas on poses and places to take pictures...who would have ever thought of taking a picture of us smooching in the middle of a busy crosswalk?? It was one of the many super creative ideas she had that day and it looked amazing. I have zero clue why she's not the best of the best on the Knot, she must be Chicago's best kept secret for photographers. She's a hidden gem, and we're so very blessed to have found her. There is no one on earth we would trust to capture what will be the most amazing moments of our lives more than her. I can't say enough, there really aren't words... All I can really say is that if you book Kristin to take your photos for any life event at all you won't be disappointed!!!
There were two things I knew I had to have when planning my wedding. One was a beautiful destination wedding in Hawaii and the other was Kristin La Voie. We have followed Kristin for several years and she has done photos for our family multiple times. Having her photograph our wedding was a no-brainer! She was extremely flexible with planning the details of our Hawaiian wedding and helped keep a pushy videographer at bay so we could get the amazing photographs we knew only Kristin could capture. Having our wedding in Hawaii was a dream come true but having Kristin be there with us was the cherry on top. Our New Mr. & Mrs. session the next day was so much fun. The weather was a little on the dreary side with a constant mist in the air, but Kristin said she was willing to shoot as long as we could stand the weather or her camera broke. Thankfully, her camera did not break and we did not get swept away by huge waves, but instead got magazine quality images to cherish forever! The hardest decisions you will have to make when working with Kristin are which to get printed as canvases or portraits because you will want every single image throughout your home. We love her and only wish we could have her photograph all our family events and not just weddings. You will not regret having Kristin La Voie photography be a part of your wedding day!
Not only is Kristin massively talented with her camera (hello, have you seen her ridiculously drool-worthy portfolio?), but she is also genuinely funny, friendly, and easy going. Her relaxed, easy-to-laugh personality has been so refreshing for someone like me who struggles with anxiety and awkwardness. She is able to instantly create an easy, relaxed environment for you and your fiancé while creating and capturing wonderful images. Yes, the price tag is a little intimidating, but in 30 years when all we have left of our engagement and wedding day are Kristin's gorgeous, romantic pictures, I know we will never regret a penny of it!
We just got married on October 3, 2015 and it was amazing to work with Kristin and her team. They were incredibly organized, professional and attentive to the needs of the bride, groom, bridal party and family. I cannot wait to see all the pictures!
Kristin photographed our wedding, as well as our engagement session. She is amazing. Her photos are romantic, full of light, and creative. Kristin is the most fun to work with - she is responsive, easy to talk to, and she is a riot. My husband - who hates taking pictures - was completely relaxed with her. She made us laugh and have a good time while taking the pictures, which made them come out natural and not staged. We were in love with both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures - Kristin was able to really get a lot of those special moments that we didnt think would even end up on camera and I cannot believe how beautiful she made everything look! As a bride, that is really important and I give Kristin 10 stars!!
We were referred to Kristin by our photographer friend who follows her work. Initially looking on her website I really thought she was out of our budget. Everyone has their priorities and my husband was adamant that photography needed to be a high priority for us. She did absolutely fantastic work and we will never regret our decision. Our wedding was wonderful and we were so happy that the pictures projected every emotion and all of the beauty as we remember it. Kristin and her team were a pleasure to work with and kept us relaxed and having fun on our wedding day. She was by far the most reliable and helpful vendor. Kristin always replied very quickly to our emails, she offered her opinions which we really valued. For example we got married in Chicago during Lollapalooza weekend and Kristin really deterred us from having our pictures taken at Millennium Park. Instead she suggested Olive Park and we have the most beautiful photos I've ever seen from any wedding. Even though I grew up in Chicago I'd never been to Olive Park so kudos to Kristin for knowing the best spots in town for beautiful pictures. The nicest thing about Kristin is she likes to capture raw emotion and she makes you feel comfortable. As you can see from her portfolio her pictures make everything look very romantic and beautiful and what more could you want for your wedding memories.
Working with Kristin was a breath of fresh air! Always professional and always responded to email super quick! She was so detailed in making sure our timeline was on oiint for pictures and made sure to capture all the moments we wanted! I would highly reccommend kristin to anybody looking for a wedding photographer! You won't be disappointed!!
Kristin is an amazing photographer! We used her for our egagement photos and for our recent wedding. She makes everything look magical and beautiful. Let me just start by saying that, with the exception of my husband, Kristin was the best decision I made regarding my wedding day. Her portraits are so stunning that I look even better in the photos than I did on my wedding day, and I felt beautiful that day! I am a shy, reserved person, and was a bit nervous to be striking a pose in front of a photographer all day. Kristin is so bubbly and approachable that she had me actually enjoying our complimentary engagement session, which I highly recommend using as practice for the big day.
I planned my wedding from 2,000 miles away, and Kristin was always so accommodating with my schedule regarding appointments and e-mails. She listened to my desires, gave exceptional advice, and captured every wonderful moment of my wedding day. If you desire candid, photojournalistic, fine art photos of your wedding, then Kristin is the one to book, hands down. She may be more expensive than the big wedding photography companies, but her photos are 200% better, and will provide you with gorgeous memories and never-ending compliments from guests and friends.
