I cannot say enough about Kristin Young as a photographer and honestly as a human. We have been lucky enough to have Kristin photograph our engagement pictures in 2019, our elopement in 2020, and our big renewal in 2021. From the moment we met her, we felt so comfortable around her as a person and knew as people who were not all about posed pictures, that the connection we felt would make our wedding pictures that much easier and more us. Kristin's communication from the beginning of meeting with her was always quick and direct. From email, to text, to phone or video calls, she was so supportive and helpful. Her pricing for what you get for photos is also incredibly reasonable considering how many photos she takes and how stunning they all are. The day of our renewal I could not have asked for more. She communicated with me ahead of time to help time the day and the shots that were my "must haves." We managed to capture everything I hoped for and then some. She was a huge advocate for me and for that I am so grateful. With a big bridal party, big family, and alot of opinions, it can be hard as a bride to be heard. Kristin made sure I was and made sure that they photos taken were what we had talked about in the weeks leading up to the day. My husband and I have so much fun taking photos with her and that is not something we can really say on a normal basis. Kristin managed to capture our playfulness in our relationship and then all the love and joy coming from our family after waiting so long to celebrate our day. We honestly have more pictures than we know what to do with and for that I am so grateful. We had some pictures sent to us THAT SAME NIGHT and received our gallery very quickly as well. We are so happy we found Kristin through our venue and I'm sure will seek out reasons to have more photos taken with her in the future. Do not hesitate with booking Kristin for your big day - I promise you will not be disappointed.

Kristin is like a breath of fresh air! She made everything leading up to and on wedding day a breeze. She makes you feel so comfortable and offers poses so you never feel nervous in front of the camera. Her pricing is amazing for the quality of her work and all the extras she offers. Every single one of my guest loved her! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer! Kristin is amazing! I have now used her two years in a row. She photographed my mini ceremony last year when we had to postpone our wedding due to covid. The pictures turned out so fabulously. She captures every detail of the day so perfectly. This year we had our big wedding and again she captured everything. She was so professional, helpful, kind, and I absolutely love working with her. We just got married at Waverly Oaks and Kristin made me feel like a queen the entire day! I definitely don’t like all eyes on me and I’m a pretty private person but Kristin made me feel so beautiful all day long and flaunt my assets in my dress that day! She kept checking to make sure I was comfortable, that my feet weren’t killing me or that my dress looked perfect the entire time we were shooting. My now husband and I are so awkward in front of a camera with people watching nearby, but Kristin kept reinforcing how special each moment was with each other, our family or friends. She would check with us to make sure we were ok with the photo plan she had but also was creative and spontaneous when the perfect shot came up. Unfortunately my parents are divorced and do not speak so I planned ahead of time with Kristin about family photos. She went through every photo with me and assured me that she wanted everyone to feel comfortable and loved that day- and she definitely made sure that we did! Ironically enough, after all my stress my family took a photo together and Kristin made it as stress-free as possible. Anyone who meets Kristin will instantly fall in love, and you will be so lucky to have her!

Kristin was our wedding photographer and did a wonderful job capturing our wedding day. From our initial meeting to follow-up conversations and the actual day, Kristin met our needs and was able to incorporate our interests and essence into her photos. She is an attentive and organized photographer who has a strong passion for what she does. Kristin has developed her own technique of photography that showcases her ability and skillset but also incorporates her client’s style and vision. She is able to mutli-task with multiple cameras to capture different angles, styles, views and moments whereas other photographers would utilize additional photographers or assistants. She also has a high attention to detail and is able to utilize her surroundings to add to her photos that she captures. When communicating with Kristin, she ensured that she understood our needs. Kristin is very talented and overall, she provided phenomenal service. She is attentive, friendly, flexible, professional and supportive with customer service as her main focus. We highly recommend Kristin for weddings, birthdays, parties and any special event where you need the day captured.

Words can't even describe how amazing Kristin Young is! Not only is her work fabulous, but she is so wonderful to work with! As soon as my husband and I met her in her favorite Starbucks, we both felt so happy and comfortable working with her. She took the time to get to know us both, asked about our story, our friends and family, in order to capture our love story for our wedding day. And she did just that. Everything we asked, she captured! She took SO many photos and each one was flawless! We could not have been happier with the quality (and quantity) of the photos she captured. She managed to capture each and every single detail! We had a rather large wedding party too and Kristin handled it like a pro! We couldn’t have chosen a better photographer. Kristin shot our engagement photos, which were beautiful and only foreshadowed what was to come. Kristin came recommended from our wedding venue but funny enough, our friends got married in the same town we did a few years before us and she was their photographer too! So we already knew her name and her work, and how friendly and amazing she was. So it was a no brainer to go with Kristin. She was very professional and made my husband and I feel very special. She’s not just there going through the motions on your wedding day. She’s talking to you, coaching you, helping you really live every moment – which not many people would do! She made us feel like we were her favorite couple to shoot because of how sentimental and emotional she got during our pics after our ceremony. It even made us emotional! She got some fabulous shots for us and didn’t push us at all. She also was a real go-getter when it came to getting some group photos with over 30 people in them. She wrangled everyone up, kept them in line and didn’t waste any time. Everyone was complimenting her on that and how fun she was! I think the best part was her turnaround time for our photos….2 weeks! During summer season too, you cannot beat that.

Working with Kristin on our wedding day was a dream come true! From helping me get in my dress, to applying my veil and everything else she did during the day I joke that if we get some beautiful pictures that would just be a bonus! Her personality is exactly what we needed that day. She made us feel so special and beautiful and kept everyone engaged during bridal party shots. Every one of our family members and bridal party kept saying how great she was! She even got us back some pictures the next day which we never would have expected and they are BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could get married every day and have Kristin be our photographer! Simply the BEST!

Although I got married this past weekend (August 26, 2017) I have already received a few sneak peeks from Kristin and I am blown away! Kristin had worked with us from the moment we got engaged (taking our engagement photos) to the day we got married, and we are planning on using her in the future for future family photos! She does beautiful work, and really gets herself in some TIGHT spots to be sure she gets the BEST shot of the two of you as she can. She listens to your visions and Man does she deliver! she was never once pushy, or rude about anything as some photographers can be. And she listened to you when you were ready to be done. I never once felt pressured to purchase anything or do anything I was not comfortable with. I cannot wait to see the rest of our photos and am looking forward to working with Kristin in the future!! She is our FOREVER photographer <3

Words cannot describes how amazing Kristin was on our wedding day!!!!! From the moment she got there she helped us organize everything we needed, helped me get my veil right and was constantly asking if I was OK when taking pictures. I have two young nephews and she went above and beyond to make them smile in pictures, even letting one of them "help" her take photos. She got so many amazing shots I wouldn't have thought of myself and everyone was literally raving about how awesome she was the entire night! She was so sweet and I'm beyond grateful I went with her, honestly best decision I made for my wedding!!!! If you need a photographer look no further, I'm doubtful there are any as good as Kristin! :)

Kristin is amazing! Throughout the entire process of engagement photos to the wedding she made us feel special and took amazing pictures! We would highly recommend her for any couple!

I got married at Waverly Oaks in October and Kristin Young was our photographer. We got our engagement photos prior to our big day and from the moment we met her we loved her personality and creativity. Our engagement photos were stunning and I used them to create a beautiful guest book. Kristin is very professional, fun to work with, and really knows what she's doing. I requested that we take some large family photos during the wedding (if we could get everyone together) and Kristin made it happen. She even stayed after her allotted time to take some moonlight pictures of me and my husband. Kristin is truly amazing and I would highly recommend her. From the moment we met Kristin we were blown away by her personality and professional ability. She was extremely accommodating and more than willing to go with any ideas and changes we had over the wedding planning process. On the day of the wedding she was truly remarkable. She had a way of making us feel like we were the most important and beautiful people on the planet and put our minds at ease the entire day/night. Our ring bearer was there for all the pre-wedding pictures and she was INCREDIBLE with him, even using his stuffed dog to help her take photos and get him to pay attention. Her turn around on our photos was also extremely expedient as it took only a month, during peak season, for us to get an online viewing. We would highly highly recommend Kristin to anyone who wishes to have a down to earth, professional and unbelievable talented photographer capture their wedding day or any other special event!

Kristin worked with us for an engagement shoot and on our wedding day. We can't say enough amazing things about her! She was so energetic, talented, and genuinely excited for us. She took TONS of awesome shots at the engagement shoot, and the pictures came out absolutely beautiful- we get so many compliments on the ones we have at our house. Our wedding was very recent, so we haven't gotten the photos back, but I am so confident she got some amazing shots and the pictures will be just as beautiful- she was constantly snapping TONS from 3 different cameras- candids and posed, and I could just tell she was capturing unforgettable moments. She was even able to get together 20+ of my high school friends for an awesome photo during the wedding, as well as my grandmother and her 12+ grandkids! Even my guests were raving about her, during and after the wedding! Kristin is very professional and responds quickly and completely to emails and phone calls. We absolutely loved her- the other night I said to my husband, "Can we get photos of (our daughter) soon just so we can see Kristin again?!" You won't be disappointed if you hire her! Side note: We hired Kristin as part of the Waverly Oaks package, so I'm honestly not sure of her prices, but she does have a website you can check. Whatever the cost, I assure you she's worth it!

Kristin is the perfect wedding photographer. She has a great amount of experience which allows her to truly capture the perfect moments of your day and making sure you take all the right pictures. She is extremely easy and a blast to work with. She made my wedding day so easy and kept me smiling!

Kristin Young did an absolutely amazing job at my wedding. We were running late after the ceremony and didn't have as much time for pictures as we would have liked, but she made sure we got all the pictures that I wanted and much more! She was very good to my daughter as well. She could tell when my daughter was getting antsy and would have her make funny faces for pictures and then take a nice picture afterwards. She did an outstanding job and I would recommend her to everyone!!

We chose Kristin because of her energetic personality and ability to capture posed and candid photos. When we met with her, she immediately inspired us (including my not-so-photogenic groom) to want our pictures taken. We really knew how great she was though on the wedding day. She solved half of our wedding problems - what to do with the train after rain (outdoor wedding), making sure my shoes wouldn't bleed on the dress, pinning flowers, and other things I never would have thought of. She was also extremely prepared and knew exactly how she wanted the shots and who and what order. There was no down time which made the pictures easy and fun to do! She humored our requests and and took many shots, which, on a rainy day, have come out absolutely beautiful. She did preparation pictures, ceremonial pictures, in between pictures, and she even helped us figure out how to cut the cake! She was very helpful and knowledgable. She seriously saved our wedding day! She was very professional and yet she was able to have a lot of fun with us too. She was ready for anything and prepared for anything. She even had baby wipes to clean off the deodorant that had come off on my groom's shoulder for a picture! All this to say, if pictures are at all important and you want someone who will the groans and frustrations out of it, use Kristin. She's the best around!
