Kristyn Nordstrom Photography

tyn with all of my photography needs, both personal and professional, for over a decade and will continue to do so in the future.

letely thrilled with the photos we have seen.

coustician Vincent Van Hoff, and my studio manager Anthony Zamora, was the main place I got room sounds, reverbs, and atmosphere on these recordings. I sent sounds and performances from my computer into the room where they would come through a speaker, making the room reverberate, from where it would return to the computer, where I would combine the rooms acoustics with the source sound. We wanted to capture the process and were extremely fortunate to find such a gifted artisan as Kristyn Nordstrom. Her photographic ability to capture feelings, vibes and excitement is without parallel. Truly, Kristyn's shots that are displayed proudly do not merely grace my walls, but are more an extension of them. Kristyn not only flew out to LA on a moments notice, took the photographs, but she worked with me on the frames and matting. I would propose that anyone who wanted to work with a talented and gifted artisan to see Ms. Nordstrom.

ngly everywhere, taking photos right away, and made all of us very comfortable, as if she weren’t carrying a pair of cameras on her at all. What made Kristyn so special to us is that she was there, but not there, making herself present when she could tell that we needed a bit of easing (I freaked out when I had no flowers and lost my candles) or nudging (my now-husband and I are very shy about cuddling in front of others). When it came to the wedding ceremony and reception, she and his assistant were flying all over the place, covering every inch of the action. And of course, the very reason we contacted Kris in the first place–the unadorned, natural, light-filled beauty of her work–made itself clear when we received our proofs. Our intimate little wedding and all of its charms shined in her photos–she captured our excitement, nerves, joy–every ounce of emotion…all without any forced pretense or posing.

er. Being affectionate in front of a stranger, no less with a camera in hand, is something we were worried about, but she made us feel incredibly comfortable, like we were hanging out with an old friend. During the initial visit, Kristyn's dedication to her craft and professionalism towards her clients was clearly apparent—it became obvious that she loves what she does and truly cares about the finished product. She was candid throughout the entire process, explaining her style and method clearly and was flexible to our needs. After the initial visit, Kris was always attentive and quick to respond to any question we had. We felt so taken care of, and knew she would do a great job on the day of. Which, was exactly what happened. She kept us all feeling comfortable and stress-free. During the reception, it seemed that Kris was EVERYWHERE and in the middle of all of the action, while never being in the way. All of our friends and family were so impressed by her energy. We recently got the photos, and it goes without saying that were incredible, beautiful, and touching.

nd out she ones and NO ONE has heard of it. Also sent us a text stating we won a free engagement shoot. When we told her where we wanted to meet for our pictures she convinced us to meet her in New Bedford where she lives to take beautiful pictures in historic New Bedford. When we were on our photo shoot she couldn't stop talking about how great she was. So when she sent the pictures back we received a phot of another couple, Unedited photos, and filtered back round photos of every picture. We did not get to choose our photos and when we asked her to it was a huge ordeal. We choose them and sent them back to her and she stated the photos were edited and clearly not. We posted them on facebook because it was all we had and received messages from other vendors that they were unprofessional and bad shots. When I sent Kristyn an email which was professional and polite she backed out of our wedding keeping our retainer 2 weeks before our wedding. I had to contact a lawyer to recoup my money from this contract. I strongly recommend to not book with her ever. She only gets one star because I can't give her less.
