I never knew how special it would be to look back through my wedding photos until I had Krystal as my photographer. My family and I will forever be gushing over these and are in awe of how much of the emotion and joy was captured. Krystal was an absolute DREAM to work with. From the very beginning (nearly a year out from our wedding date!) she was invested in making sure my wedding day was perfect. She is very familiar with a lot of the Triangle venues and knew many of my vendors - she gave me day of planning and coordination advice right off the bat. She has such a cool, calm presence that you can't help but feel calm around her. The photo sessions never felt forced or awkward, and they turned out absolutely STUNNING - tons of B&W, various tones...I was absolutely blown away. I didn't even plan a shot list with her but she captured every single little detail without instruction. Her counterpart Brad was also an absolute joy. He knows how to make the experience fun and the groomsmen really enjoyed having him around pre ceremony. I would work with Krystal and team over and over again...I am truly sad it's over!

If we could give Krystal 10 stars, that would not be enough. Beyond Krystal's incredible talent, she is a wonderful person and our wedding day (and bridal portraits/engagement photos) would not have been complete without her. Her work is timeless, elegant and beautiful. Krystal was the first vendor we hired. We made sure our wedding venue and date was available in coordination with her availability -- we knew she had to be a part of our journey as we wanted both film and digital photos with heirloom quality, worthy of a publication or to cherish for years to come. Her work is truly exquisite. Krystal has a way of capturing moments with true emotion, finding the essence of her subjects and capturing movement in static images, while creating a beautiful moment in time that feels like a crisp memory when you close your eyes. Her work takes you back to that exact moment captured and you can relive it; you feel her work. She has a way with people that is second to none -- gently managing flower girls, grandmothers and other guests, while keeping pace of a tight wedding schedule, getting the necessary shots and racing weather if need be. She can capture the best side of anyone, from people who are uncomfortable in front of the camera to those who are the utmost photogenic. You know you are always in good hands with Krystal. While not one detail was missed, Krystal managed to be stealthy and her presence was never overbearing or obvious. Her direction is clear, she worked really well with our videographer, and she has the perfect balance between professional and artist. She made it fun and her smile can calm any nerves. From the moment I met Krystal, I knew our wedding photos were in very good hands. We first met Krystal at our engagement shoot. She was so helpful in giving us ideas as to where to shoot the engagement photos. She was also very flexible regarding our busy schedules. We had never had professional photos taken before, but she made it very easy and natural for us. We instantly hit it off as she has a warm personality. She went the extra mile to ensure we loved our engagement photos. Krystal also made every effort to understand both my husband and me, our journey, and what we wanted for the vision of our wedding photos. She executed amazingly and I had so many friends reach out asking for her name and contact information. We loved how she incorporated flash photography and captured candid, real moments. It transports us back to the day every time we flick through our photos. We were also very impressed with Krystal’s delicate care with understanding family dynamics. We have large extended families and she made sure to get all the family portraits, gave lots of thought to family groupings, and was able to still keep everything moving smoothly on schedule. Aside from family, our friends also loved Krystal and her team. They were simply lots of fun and kept up such a high energy and vibe throughout the night which naturally led to some amazing photos of our guests. She was open to ideas on the day for a special request regarding portraits to be taken in the nearby arboretum and they turned out so beautifully. I will truly cherish these wedding portraits for the rest of my life. Thank you so much to Krystal and her lovely team for being crucial to our wedding day. Krystal was AMAZING. She was so calm, cool, collected, and sooo talented. We opted to have a second photographer, who was also such a joy to be around. No freak outs or drama - she gets the job done efficiently but also makes it fun :) I HIGHLY recommend Krystal for your wedding or event photography - you won't regret it!!

Cannot say enough good things about Krystal! She was a delight to work with on both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day and made it all so easy. To this day, our parents still rave about how amazing our photography team was! We received our galleries back quickly and her photography left us speechless. Krystal and her team are INCREDIBLE!! I cannot emphasize how much we enjoyed working with her. She was so flexible in her scheduling/packages-- we had already had a photographed engagement session at our home in another state, so she instead offered to cover more time during our wedding day (just one of many options she offered). She captured some of my most treasured memories. For as many photos as are taken on a wedding day, I never felt awkward or "over" taking pictures. She made posing easy and natural for everyone. She took incredible digital AND film photographs and she made sure to capture the types of photos that we felt were most important to us. I have SO many incredible candids of myself and my husband, our wedding parties, our families and friends. She captured moments that I didn't get to witness on the actual day. We had the best experience working with Krystal. She and her whole team are so kind, fun, and flexible. They made everyone feel at ease. She even worked with my very tight schedule and traveled to me so I could have bridal portraits done (and I'm so glad I did – they're gorgeous!). Alright, it’s taken my wife and I a while to write our review, because, you know, life and stuff, but let me tell you this right now – “Krystal Kast is a superhuman, one-of-a-kind, photographic angel sent from above”. In the midst of her own personal family concerns, Krystal not only found a way to travel to the Dominican Republic for our wedding but also coordinated with a local photographer who captured some of the most incredible, memorable, and entertaining photos from our wedding – both from the beach and from the sky. Imagine this, the resort at which we had the wedding, found every conceivable way to botch and bungle every selection, decision, and specific request that we had made. Things were not going our way, but then, comes our opportunity to work with Krystal on our pre-wedding session. Across the resort, saunters over this wonderful human, clad in Indiana Jones-esque leather holsters of photography who proceeded to work harder and more efficiently than the poor souls shoveling coal into the bowels of the Titanic as it sank. One difference – Krystal not only kept our wedding afloat, despite the best efforts of the resort, but provided us memories that our resort-provided videographers missed time and time again. Heading to the bar for a drink? Krystal gets the shot. Flexing some of the worst dance moves in your arsenal? Yup, she got it. Giving your new wife an impromptu lap dance in the middle of the dance floor? Oh, you KNOW she’s got that! I’m not sure they’ve come up with a rating scale that can accurately capture both the quantity and quality of work that Krystal provides. I honestly couldn’t give her enough stars, and a scale of 10 is underselling her ability and work ethic by a mile. Seamlessly changing out cameras, lenses, perspectives, and subjects, Krystal provided us with so many photos that it overwhelmed even my mother. And honestly, more important than Krystal’s abilities, is how wonderful of a person she is and how much of joy she was to work with. She’s so friendly, accommodating, and an absolute dream to work with. If you’re not working with Krystal Kast, you’re making a mistake.

This was a not our first rodeo, so my future husband and I were not sure what we wanted to do in the way of pictures for our wedding or even if we wanted to do any professional photographs. Thankfully we did and we could not have made a better choice than Krystal Kast Photography! We connected from our very first meeting and were amazed at how much fun Krystal made the day. It is a testament to Krystal’s vision and professionalism that she was able to make the complete experience so very special for us. We loved all the images that Krystal was able to capture and regrettably for us when it came to decision-making time there was not a bad one in the bunch. So many beautiful images and memories captured and re-lived every time we look at these pictures! Krystal felt more like one of our close friends or family members than a vendor and was incredibly patient as we kept thinking of more images we wanted to capture. She definitely went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She guided our group to make sure we were able to get everything we wanted but was also very flexible and patient. The images from our day bring out the exact memories we wanted. Since we are older, we can appreciate these images even more as we are well aware of how quickly life can change. We sincerely appreciate her energy and dedication and feel that she made the day even more special and meaningful. If anyone is looking for the perfect person to trust capturing these precious memories perfectly, we would highly recommend Krystal Kast Photography.

Krystal is wonderful to work with. She made the bride feel so comfortable and relaxed for her portrait session and that was so special. She was amazing for the wedding and rehearsal dinner and captured such wonderful moments! We are having a hard time choosing the best pictures because there are so many to choose from.

Krystal was by far our most beloved and valued "vendor" but I would call her more of a friend. She went over and beyond months in advance by having phone calls with us to answer questions, brainstorm, and because she genuinely cared to get to know us better before our wedding day. She took control when needed and most importantly made us feel calm and relaxed throughout the day and night. We dodged on and off rain the entire day but she monitored it and made sure to get the best shots when it wasn't pouring! Lastly, Krystal goes above and beyond what she is hired to do. She was around for much longer than contracted and also made sure we kept on schedule the entire day. She is incredibly talented but also just someone you want to have as part of your day. Krystal is amazing! We did an engagement shoot with her, which I didn’t want to do, but she recommended. So glad we did. She made us feel so comfortable and the pictures turned out amazing. However, on our wedding day, she went above and beyond. She made us feel so comfortable. She not only took photos but helped us in so many other ways that weren’t even her job (she helped zip my dress and put on my shoes!). She is beyond fabulous! So professional.

Krystal did my sister’s wedding and I loved her so much that I had her do my wedding as well. Where to begin with Krystal? I could not ask for a better wedding photographer. In addition to delivering an absolutely stunning wedding album, Krystal was communicative, accomodating, supportive of my crazy ideas, and incredibly knowledgable about how to make the most incredible pictures fit seamlessly into my wedding day. We chose to work with Krystal because of her timeless, artful, documentary-esque style of photography. We wanted to remember our wedding day exactly as it was, without all of the trendy filters and stiffly-posed portraits, and Krystal made that happen. She and her second shooter had the uncanny ability to wrangle all of our wild family and friends into beautiful, authentic portraits, capture all of the tiniest details and make them look beautiful, and simultaneously be everywhere at once without being intrusive. She was able to capture every photo on my shot list as well as every. single. guest at my wedding. My favorite part about Krystal Kast's photography is her reception photos -- she didn't shy away from the fun, candid photos, and I will always be grateful to have those moments captured. All in all, can't recommend her enough.

Hiring Krystal as our wedding photographer for our wedding on April 3rd 2021 was the best decision we could have made. She is incredibly talented, kind, accommodating, and easy to work with. She did an incredible job with our engagement session and wedding. Her personality makes everyone so comfortable, like you have been friends with her for years. My husband and I usually hate pictures of ourselves but it was hard to find a photo from the day that we did not like! When looking for our wedding photographer we were immediately drawn to her portfolio and how timeless and classic her photos were. When we got back our wedding day photos we were blown away on how much the day was depicted. Clicking through the photos truly told the story of our wedding day. We didn’t even miss not having a videographer! Not only did she get amazing photos of us, but she also captured amazing group photos of our guests. I feel when you attend a wedding, the photographer never asks to take a photo of you with your family or date, but Krystal went above and beyond making everyone feel important. Hands down would hire her again in a heartbeat if we had the chance.

Krystal is hands down amazing at her work, in addition to being an all-around great person. She photographed our engagement shoot and entire wedding day, and we couldn’t be happier with the products. She’s flexible and easy-going, willing to accommodate our locations for our engagement shoot and our large family pictures at the wedding. She was always on top of the day and I knew where we had to be when for the best shots. Our wedding day was captured perfectly and her excitement for photography and making the couple feel comfortable is what sets her apart! What was a nice bonus is when we received all the photos from the wedding, she had taken great ones of all the guests which is a special addition and will make perfect Christmas presents. You will not find a better human or photographer than Krystal Kast! In a year that proved difficult for brides and vendors alike, she exuded positivity and remained overly communicative which put my partner and I at ease. We couldn't have asked for anything more! Krystal successfully captured the depth, emotion and magic of our 25-person wedding day that was originally supposed to accommodate 150. In fact, I've had a tough time avoiding creating a wedding shrine in my living room. Each timeless photo brings out the best in our relationship and the unique personalities of our loved ones. It's just incredible! 15/10 would recommend including Krystal as a partner on your special day!

We hired Krystal Kast for our engagement photos and wedding. She is the absolute best for so many reasons! First, she is incredibly talented. Simply put - her photos are stunning and timeless. Second, Krystal makes her couples feel so comfortable. Krystal is amazing, we love her so much! I don’t even know where to start. Our wedding got postponed due to the pandemic, but my now husband and I still wanted to get married so we decided to have an intimate ceremony with immediate family. Krystal was very accommodating and easy to work with through the 100s of changes to the plan. She did everything to make our imperfect situation perfect. We luckily still get to have her for our big wedding in November and for my bridal portraits. She is so kind and easy to talk to and be around. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else as our photographer but her. Our wedding venue had given us a preferred vendor list (which is how we found her) and now I know why she is one of few on there!!! Just wanted to take a second to give kudos to Krystal! Krystal is amazing and was the perfect person for the job! The photographer was the most important vendor choice for me, and I have absolutely no regrets in selecting Krystal! She was very attentive to all the details, was a pro at knowing where to get the best shots at our venue, and just made the experience fun! My husband and I are soo awkward when the focus is on us and we were worried about looking this way in our photos, but she knew exactly how to direct us and make the experience calm and relaxing! She is also very flexible and is willing to work with you on everything! You can tell she really cares about giving you the experience you are looking for. Highly, highly, highly recommend! We unequivocally recommend Krystal Kast Photography for your wedding photography. We worked with Krystal for our engagement photos, a bridal portrait session and photos of our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Krystal has such a fantastic demeanor that taking pictures (something we were not completely used to doing) felt easy and natural. Krystal captured the emotion of each event and she captured everything! Krystal was like a ninja--she got fantastic photos of each moment from absolutely every angle possible, but she wasn't obtrusive at ALL. We loved working with her second shooter, Brad, also. Most importantly, all of the photos--the portraits, the action shots, the candids--are excellent. We can't count how many times we've gone through and looked at all of them. Krystal was BY FAR the best vendor we chose for our wedding and blew us away with her photos every time. The engagement shoot photos and the wedding day photos were both ridiculously amazing. She seems to carefully consider every single photo so that is has the most beautiful lighting, backdrop, perspective, and artistic eye. She is really insanely talented at her art (seriously we admired the beauty of the photos for days and days when they were released), and we are so lucky that she captured our big day in the best way. With weddings, things can go wrong or turn out differently than you hoped - just like life - and it's easy to think about the imperfections while you wait for the photo release. It's also sometimes hard to remember everything since your wedding day is a blur and goes by extremely fast ...but as soon as we saw the photos, the negative emotions around the things that went wrong seemed to just melt away. From the beauty of her photographs, to her easy and warm demeanor, she was everything we had hoped for in our wedding photographer. The icing on the cake was her responsiveness, attention to detail and follow-through, both before the wedding and after we received all the photgraphs digitally. Her planning (which guided us) helped us ensure that we got every detail and all the people we wanted to be to sure to remember in pictures. She was so easy and fun to have around all day and all evening, knowing just when to step up and be directive and when to fade into the background and just snap away. Krystal Kast is phenomenal! If you want gorgeous photos to treasure forever, look no further. We were married on May 4th, 2019 and were lucky enough to work with Krystal for both our engagement and wedding photos. From the beginning, she was a joy to work with. She made us feel comfortable with her laid back vibe and yet you could tell she she had a high attention to detail. She was flexible and ready for an adventure when we broached the idea of heading to Hanging Rock for our engagement shoot despite it being complicated to plan. On our wedding day, despite being quite behind from hair and makeup, she managed to keep me calm (as much as possible on wedding day) and not compromise on getting the photos I wanted. She was constantly moving all day long capturing details of our day. We got our photos in 6 weeks from our wedding day and received over 1,000! She meticulously stores your photos so you know they are safe. We absolutely loved working with Krystal and would definitely choose her again given the chance!!

Krystal was one of my favorite people to work with in the planning of our wedding. She did an excellent job capturing us as a couple, creating photos that have an artistic voice without becoming too stylized or time stamped.
