In the midst of her own personal family concerns, Krystal not only found a way to travel to the Dominican Republic for our wedding but also coordinated with a local photographer who captured some of the most incredible, memorable, and entertaining photos from our wedding – both from the beach and from the sky. Imagine this, the resort at which we had the wedding, found every conceivable way to botch and bungle every selection, decision, and specific request that we had made. Things were not going our way, but then, comes our opportunity to work with Krystal on our pre-wedding session. Across the resort, saunters over this wonderful human, clad in Indiana Jones-esque leather holsters of photography who proceeded to work harder and more efficiently than the poor souls shoveling coal into the bowels of the Titanic as it sank. One difference – Krystal not only kept our wedding afloat, despite the best efforts of the resort, but provided us memories that our resort-provided videographers missed time and time again. Heading to the bar for a drink? Krystal gets the shot. Flexing some of the worst dance moves in your arsenal? Yup, she got it. Giving your new wife an impromptu lap dance in the middle of the dance floor? Oh, you KNOW she’s got that! I’m not sure they’ve come up with a rating scale that can accurately capture both the quantity and quality of work that Krystal provides. I honestly couldn’t give her enough stars, and a scale of 10 is underselling her ability and work ethic by a mile. Seamlessly changing out cameras, lenses, perspectives, and subjects, Krystal provided us with so many photos that it overwhelmed even my mother. And honestly, more important than Krystal’s abilities, is how wonderful of a person she is and how much of joy she was to work with. She’s so friendly, accommodating, and an absolute dream to work with. If you’re not working with Krystal Kast, you’re making a mistake.
