When I started planning our wedding, I knew photography was going to be extremely important to me- not only because the photographer would be capturing the most important day of our lives thus far, but because she would be involved in so much of the wedding! After a few weeks of searching, I finally found Krystle and connected with her right off the bad. The first time we talked, we chatted for over an hour (it was just like talking to an old friend) and quickly scheduled our engagement photos with her. I was a little worried how my now husband would do taking photos, but Krystle put him immediately at ease and the whole shoot was so much fun for both of us. Once the wedding day arrived, it felt like Krystle was a part of the family. She made taking photos fun and was constantly on the lookout for opportunities to get the perfect shot. She even snuck my husband and I away, so we could get photos together by a creek at sunset. For anyone looking for a photographer that will deliver amazing photos and is a breeze to work with leading up to your wedding and day of, Krystle is your girl!

I can not say enough great things about Krystle. Luckily, I was referred to her by one of my good friends and could not be more thankful. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she has such a fun, bright personality which enhanced our experience greatly. I am so, so glad I had Krystle as my photographer for my wedding day. She is incredibly sweet, easygoing, and fun to work with. On the wedding day our hair appointments went way longer than expected and Krystle was at the church before we got back. I felt so bad, but soon found out she made the most of that time and began taking pictures of rings, my dress, the groom and groomsmen, etc. She rolled with the craziness of a wedding day like nothing at all. My bridesmaids and family still tell me how much they loved my photographer [Krystle]. I just received the pictures from my wedding and they are beautiful. Can't say enough about Krystle. She did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos, and hit it out of the park. She is a fine-art photographer, but is priced fairly reasonably (in my opinion). She made us feel natural and happy in front of the camera, and people were RAVING about our engagement photos. Literally people stopped me at work to tell me how much they liked them (unprompted). We don't have our wedding photos just yet, but can't wait.

Being referred to us by another photographer who was booked I found Krystle and her work. Her work really speaks for itself. So full of light, humor in a lot as she really makes you laugh and honesty. She does portraits that will work for everyone in your family plus the neat creative pictures we see so much on websites. She really made us feel comfortable in front of the camera which I thought would be hard. We would refer her to any other friend and family member as she does treat you like a friend like so many of these other reviews has said.

I don't know why I have submitted this review sooner! Krystle not only was a amazing photographer for our wedding but has honestly became a friend. She helped us so much during our engagement and worked with rescheduling rainy dates as we all know it rained so much this past spring. When we did take our engagement I fell in love with every one. As a Mother to a Bride it is hard sometimes finding all of the right vendors. Krystle's work is gorgeous! Not only does she take beautiful pictures, but she is also super laid back and amazingly helpful on the day of the wedding. She is open to anything you want to try and really advocated for me as the bride on my wedding day when I wanted my outdoor ceremony and everyone was worried about the rain. Krystle is an amazing photographer who is not only adorable and sweet, but having her as our wedding photographer was like having a friend there. Krystle was nothing short of a superhero. Hands down the absolute best decision we made for our wedding was hiring her as our photographer! I loved working with Krystle Akin. She photographed my engagement pictures in October bridals in April and just did my wedding. She is super talented at both film and digital- and made me look amazing in any light. It was rainy and cloudy all three sessions! Krystle truly was everything and more the day of my wedding. She not only has magnificent work that speaks for itself, she was a friend and a great help the day of. I searched through every photographer available on the knot, and loved Krystle's photos the most! She only had a few dates available in 2014 when I scheduled, and was so lucky to be able to book her. 3 words. Medium format film. If you envision your wedding shot with grace, elegant detail, and that wonderful luminance of fleeting light only film can capture, Krystle is the girl for you! Have actually worked with Krystal before on my Daughter's wedding. When my Son's engagement was announced, Krystal was first on my list of people to talk with. Her work is professional, timely and beautiful. Working with her is a pleasure. I can't say enough good things about her, from scheduling and working with the Bride, she is tops in her field. And I have worked with others before her - So the praise is realistic. You may find another with lower prices but in my experiences you get what you pay for, and her prices are more than fair for her service and product. I would recommend her again and again.

Krystle Akin is just the best wedding photographer! She is charming, professional, talented, and willing to do whatever it takes to please her clients. I give her the highest rating possible. Each photo she took was just perfectly composed, clear and artistic as well. Krystle is easy to work with and stayed until after her 8 hours to finish and then drove the 2 hours home. Krystle is able to capture great moments while creating a beautiful image. She has a great ideas and places to take pictures! I didn't have to worry about her getting all the pictures I wanted for the wedding, it was stress free and I recommend her to any future bride!

My first time working with Krystle was as a maid of honor in my friend's wedding, which was in September of 2012. As that bride noted in a previous review, she really had a nack for blending right in with the wedding party and guests. I was surprised to find that I actually really enjoyed her presence as we were all getting ready together for the big day. I just loved her personality. When my husband proposed the next month and planning began, I immediately thought of Krystle. I did not want to make that decision too quickly though, so I looked into several other photographers. Some of them were more expensive and some were less. I decided to take price off the table (though I was on a budget) and really look at the photos more objectively. When it came down to my final decision I chose Krystle because her photos felt so natural and timeless. I think part of her ability to capture such beautiful images stems from how comfortable she makes you, and even the groom, feel. It is like you are working with a friend, that just happens to have a super fancy camera, an artistic eye, and incredible photography skills. I would recommend Krystle to any bride, and I feel certain that no one would regret hiring her.

My sister found Krystle Akin's website online, and we loved all her photos. I was so fortunate we were able to book her because she books very far in advance. She had a last minute cancellation that happened to be the Saturday of my wedding. I hate to say I was thankful that someone else had to cancel their wedding, but... :) Her pricing is very reasonable, especially considering how much more I liked her photos than others we looked at that were the same price or more expensive. She also traveled to get to our wedding and didn't even charge us extra. Krystle was so sweet and our photos turned out beautifully! She makes you feel at ease while taking photos, and she is so creative! Overall we had a wonderful experience, and both mothers of the bride and groom were very happy with all the photos, which is really saying something. I definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for an amazing photographer.

If I could only say one thing it would be HIRE HER QUICK! Krystle was a dream to work with. She kept my husband and I laughing and at ease the whole day of our wedding. Our wedding pictures are something we will cherish for the rest of our lives and the way that she captured our day went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. First off, I could not be happier with my decision to use Krystle for our wedding. She made everything so incredibly easy! Not only did she help facilitate the flow of things at our reception, she blended in with our guests so well that I didn't even notice her taking pictures of us throughout the night. Her personality and level of professionalism did not go unnoticed, so much so, that my maid of honor has decided to use her as the photographer for her big day : )

I do not have enough nice things to say about Krystle. Her work speaks for itself but what is truly special about her is the way she treats her brides. On my wedding day I had the stomach flu and I've never felt worse. She was so patient and kind to me and was one of the only people who didn't try to convince me it was "nerves". She was so sensitive to how I was feeling and somehow managed to make me look as though I wasn't sick at all. Krystal is just one of those people you love to be around, which is great since your photographer is with you all night. We almost forgot she was there to take pictures, because she blended in with the party and had fun. She even taught our entire wedding how to do the Wobble! Even my fiance said, as we were leaving the reception, how professional and great she and her husband were. Her work is wonderful. I hope to hire her soon to do family portraits, if she is available. Don't think twice about hiring her, especially because she books up quickly! It was the best decision we made, by far.

I worked with Krystle for my bridal portraits and our wedding. She is hands down the most amazing person to work with! She made the experience so much fun and not stressful at all as I felt SO confident in her. She honestly made me feel like I was her only client. It took me 3 months to find a photographer that did more than just the "traditional" wedding pictures but still kept the pictures classy and professional. She caputured our wedding in a way I know nobody else could have, I literally have over a thousand pictures from our wedding day and they are all so wonderful. Where do I begin with Krystle?...I found her by looking up wedding photographers in the Austin area. I was judging them only on quality and not price. Of course price was important but I wanted a great photographer first. Over and over again I kept choosing her pictures. I went on her website and to my suprise her prices were very reasonable!! I contacted her and she was so easy going and we set up the engagement session. Let me say when the time came..WOW WOW WOW. she is very cool, easy going, she was with us for what seemed like an entire day, she left I think at 9pm. when we got the pictures back I was so impressed at her work I was speechless!! Beautiful! Original! I mean, she had us pose in slightly akward positions but I trusted her and omg I'm glad I did!! This woman KNOWS what he is doing! On the wedding- same thing. First off , the entire time everyone was asking who did my engagement photos, lol. Second, everyone who was in my wedding pictures later has Krystle's pictures in their homes. That's how great she is. I recommend her hands down without a second thought. She is so easy to get a hold of, answers a million questions with a great attitude, and she goes out of her way with all aspects of being a photographer. And her pictures speak for themselves they are beautiful!! Highly, highly recommend!

I believe the photography for a wedding is as important as getting that perfect dress. With that being said I knew I wanted a photographer that had a unique style and an awesome talent and Krystle was definitely it! SO CREATIVE! Absolutely perfect memories!

I was so fortunate to have Krystle as our photographer for our wedding on 4/9/11!!! My husband and I are from Salt Lake City, UT but had our wedding at his mom’s ranch in Hawkins, TX about 45 minutes outside of Tyler, TX. It was definitely not easy planning a wedding in another state that I had only visited once, which is why having Krystle was such a blessing, a true godsend! I was referred to Krystle through another photographer in Tyler, TX – once I saw the work on her website blog and spoke with her over the phone, I knew SHE was the one for us! First of all, she is probably the nicest person you will ever meet – she just exudes that southern charm!!! Krystle went above and beyond helping me with my wedding planning. She had referred other vendors to me which were all great to work with and she even referred me to someone for my hair and makeup . . . everything turned out beautifully! The day of our wedding was the first time I was able to meet Krystle in person. Let me tell you, it was like I had known her for years! She was so calming and just so extremely easy to work with! My family and friends fell in love with her instantly and all of our guests commented how great she was to work with! A few weeks after our wedding we received our custom wedding DVD with over 750+ edited images – I definitely had my work cut out for me going through all of pictures . . . they were just AMAZING and brought tears to my eyes. There were details throughout our ceremony and reception in honor of my mother and my husband’s father who had both passed and she captured each and every one of them so beautifully! Krystle has this phenomenal ability to capture the most special moments, her eye for detail is impeccable – her artistic, modern style is exactly what we were looking for! I’ve worked with photographers in the past who want you to write down or tell them a description of every photograph you want – with Krystle, this was definitely not needed. She notices EVERYTHING – her vision and her ability to bring out the beauty in the everyday world around us is just amazing! I do have one regret. . . My only regret is that because we lived out of state and were only in Texas for a short time, we were unable to do any engagement or bridal photos! Krystle did not only my bridal portraits but also our wedding day. When we first spoke on the phone about my bridal portraits I think we were instantly on the same wave length! I wanted to go outside the box and do an authentic vintage feel for my portraits... something so far from the traditional that I was really afraid no one would be able to catch my vision. Not only did Krystle capture my vision but she totally went as far outside the box as we could go and it could not have been more amazing in the end. Krystle did my bridal portraits, and our engagement and wedding pictures. They all turned out amazing!! Not only did our wedding pictures turn out BEAUTIFUL, but they were taken in a tornado/thunderstorm!!! Now that's a good photographer!! Krystle was always on top of her game and there when we needed her, which is hard to find these days! With a 3 month engagement, Krystle had to work fast and get prints back to me within days!! She kept in touch with me and had everything ready before the time we needed it!!! She made us feel like family instead of every day clients.
