We hired Kuhl Entertainment for our October 25, 2025 wedding and paid $3,800 for DJ services, ceremony audio, uplighting, a photo booth, and specifically requested DJ Josh Kuhl. Un...
fortunately, the company failed to deliver most of what we contracted.
Josh did not arrive for the ceremony—or even for the scheduled sound check—and the venue had to step in last minute with their own equipment and our Spotify playlists. He ultimately showed up 6 hours late, well into dinner, with no prior communication about delays. Because of this, our ceremony and the first part of our reception took place without the DJ services we paid for.
The photo booth was also not properly staffed, poorly lit, and we have not received any of the digital or physical photo copies or the guestbook that were included in our package.
Overall, we paid for multiple services that were either partially delivered, delivered late, or not delivered at all. We attempted to contact the company multiple times after the wedding and received no response until we threatened legal action.
I want to be fair and share that we did receive a partial refund for the services not provided- but, again- not until we threatened legal action. Ultimately, we did not deserve to stress about this on our wedding day. I would use caution before booking their services.
It's hard to know where to begin when it comes to our experience with Josh and Greg at Kuhl Entertainment. My goal with this review is to provide a fair and honest account of the e...
xperience we had during our October 2025 wedding. I also want to note that we made significant efforts to resolve our concerns with Josh at Kuhl Entertainment prior to posting this review. However, I believe it is important for others to hear about our experience before choosing to work with Kuhl Entertainment.
We first met with Josh on December 17, 2024, and had an incredibly positive first interaction and conversation. After this meeting, and after reviewing feedback for Kuhl Entertainment across several platforms, my wife and I felt excited, motivated, and eager to have Kuhl Entertainment be a part of our day. We left the call feeling very confident that our interaction and Kuhl Entertainment’s reputation justified the $2,500 investment.
We had our final event consultation with our DJ, Greg, on September 29, 2025. Once again, we left the meeting feeling reassured and excited, as Greg mentioned several times how much he liked our music choices and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about our event schedule. The event schedule was used to track all of the correct versions of our key songs, activities, and timeline.
Fast forward to our wedding day, we did not anticipate that one of the low points of our event would be the services provided by Greg and Kuhl Entertainment. Unfortunately, this is how the evening unfolded and marked the beginning of a series of unprofessional actions by the company.
Below is a list of our key complaints based on our experience:
1) Incorrect first dance song: Greg played the wrong song for our first dance. This was not a case of playing a different version of our selected song; instead, he played a song that my wife and I had never heard before that moment. We ultimately decided to end our first dance early and were very disappointed.
2) Missed scheduled speech: Greg did not follow our event schedule and skipped a planned speaking opportunity for my wife's co–maid of honor. This was very disappointing, as it was a special moment for our friends and family to celebrate with us. We then had to spend time on our wedding day reassuring guests that the omission was not intentional.
3) Unprofessional conduct at the bar: Greg repeatedly visited the hosted bar, which was charged by consumption, without our permission or notifying us. This became problematic as lapses in DJ service continued throughout the evening. Greg's visits to the bar were frequent and noticed by guests. We felt that the DJ drinking on our dime without consent was one of the most unprofessional and inappropriate actions of the night.
4) Additional concerns: Throughout the night, we noticed songs being repeated, awkward guest engagement, and several reports that the DJ smelled of alcohol.
In our attempt to resolve these complaints with Josh at Kuhl Entertainment, we reached out via email on October 28, 2025, just days after our event, and presented our list of concerns. When we did not receive a response, we followed up on October 30, November 3, and November 4, 2025. His only response, sent on November 4, stated that he had been too busy with another wedding vendor venture and had not had a chance to review our message. He offered no empathy or concern for the issues we raised, and we were particularly disappointed by his lack of interest in our experience.

g all night, and read the room well, which was exactly what I wanted. I did not want to get off of the dance floor, and barely did, haha! He had a great balance of songs, and overall did a great job. Highly recommend :)
We were so impressed with our wedding DJ! They handled the sound for our reception only, but from start to finish, their professionalism stood out. They worked right up until the v...
ery last minute to make sure everything was perfect, and it truly showed. They coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors, which made the night flow effortlessly, and above all, they always put us—the couple—first. We felt completely taken care of and didn’t have to worry about a thing. The only thing that was noticed was not necessarily sticking to our music priority list, but otherwise, was good. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a smooth, stress-free, and well-executed reception!

ng the energy going all night. I have received so many messages praising their ability to create a fun and inviting energy. I was a little worried my guests wouldn't dance, but they even got my mother out and dancing which is a miracle!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I can't say enough wonderful things about Kuhl Entertainment! From the very first conversation, we knew we were in great hands. Our wedding day was nothing short of magical, and a ...
huge part of that was thanks to our incredible DJ Josh.
Kuhl Entertainment brought such an amazing energy to the celebration! They took the time to understand our musical tastes and preferences, seamlessly blending our favorite songs with crowd-pleasing hits that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. It was incredible to see our guests—from our youngest friends to our grandparents—having the time of their lives!
Communication was outstanding throughout the planning process. They were prompt, professional, and attentive to every detail. On the day of the wedding, they arrived early, set up quickly, and were ready to go without a hitch. The sound quality was perfect, and the lighting added a beautiful touch to the venue.
One of the standout moments was Josh's ability to read the room. He knew just when to switch up the music to keep the energy high, and even coordinated some fun interactive moments that got everyone involved. It truly felt like Josh was part of our celebration, not just our DJ.
If you're looking for a DJ who is not only talented but also genuinely invested in making your day special, look no further than Kuhl Entertainment. They exceeded our expectations in every way, and we’re so grateful for the unforgettable memories they helped create. Thank you for an amazing night!

t we were looking for. On the day of the wedding he not only was a great DJ, but he helped us with coordinating our timeline and making sure all our other vendors were in the right place at the right time. Cannot recommend him enough!
Mr. Kuhl attempted to bill us twice for his services.
We paid him in full before my daughter's July 2023 wedding, and six months later, he messaged us saying we hadn't paid and th...
at he was cutting us a break by not charging a late fee. We supplied him with a copy of the check he cashed, and we never heard back from him - no acknowledgement or apology. We have since learned that this is not the first time he has attempted to double bill clients.
In addition, my daughter paid an extra $500 for Josh himself to DJ her wedding and he was barely present once the dance started, letting his other staff run the show. They accidentally set off their smoke machine, causing the smoke alarms to go off in the middle of the dance. The facility folks had a hard time getting the alarms to stop, which was a major disruption to the dance.
Josh was the DJ for my wedding in Green Bay, WI this summer. He absolutely killed it, along with his assistant! Every person that I've spoken to has said that he was an awesome DJ ...
and one of the best parts about our wedding.
It was a seamless process from the planning stage all the way through the end of our wedding night. The best part about Josh and his assistant was that they both kept the hype and the party going all night long. His assistant was literally dancing with the crowd for most of the night while Josh kept the music going. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding so memorable and exciting! Thank you Josh and the team at Kuhl Entertainment!

Kuhl Entertainment provided the DJ services at our wedding – I don’t think we could have asked for a more accommodating, professional, and, most of all, fun music and DJ service fo...
r our day! We were pleased to find that even though our venue was brand new, Kuhl had already been working with them and had visited them to understand their mic system and setup. Our DJ was Avalon, who was incredibly cool and willing to try some original up-lighting ideas that we had. The music was perfectly tailored to us because Avalon was available to consult about our music tastes ahead of time. Kuhl has playlists with suggestions for couples who aren’t necessarily sure about the exact songs they want played, but also easily and seamlessly found and incorporated a somewhat obscure Romanian-language song that we selected for our first dance. Avalon was incredibly deft in responding to our guests’ music requests AKA “reading the room,” including managing my overly-enthusiastic (and over-served) cousin’s needs as well as playing a last minute request from our bridal party that turned out to be a very special moment that we will always remember. She handled some minor technical hiccups during our post-dinner speeches (unavoidable and due to mic interference) with grace and had a backup corded mic ready to substitute immediately. In other words, we put Kuhl through the ringer and they knocked it out of the park! So many of our guests (the very hip ones) complimented our DJ after the event – Kuhl will be our first recommendation to anyone who asks us about DJ services in the future!
We hired Kuhl Entertainment prior to COVID in 2020, and they were kind to accommodate us as we delayed our wedding for a year. When the time finally did come in July of 2021, Josh ...
contacted us personally and we consulted through a very thorough selection of songs and careful planning. Josh himself worked with us and was top notch in the preparation, enacting the perfect balance of professionalism and fun in the process. I could tell we were in good hands with him before we even got to the event.
At the wedding itself, we had Josh and his assistant Wes manning the DJ, announcement, and photo booth duties. The whole thing was stellar and flawless, from the execution of our logistics of the planned events, the professional setup and display, and the fun factor. We had people compliment us afterwards on how great Kuhl Entertainment was. They faced an unplanned hurdle of running the ship on a night the Milwaukee Bucks were planning a championship winning game (with a TV in the bar), but they handled it all in stride with some of the semi-distracted crowd. Looking at our pictures and thinking through how it all went, that was only a minor blip in retrospect, and I credit that to their professionalism.
If we had to do it again, I would plan it the same way with Josh Kuhl and his staff. I have full confidence the rest of his DJ staff meet the same standard as well. Amazing job!
They are hands down the best DJ services I could ask for. We didn’t know how to plan a wedding and they provided so much guidance regarding the set lists, the schedule, Photo Booth...

Everyone wouldn’t stop talking about our DJ and how much fun they had! The dance floor was full the whole night! You won’t regret working with any DJ from Kuhl Entertainment!
We had an amazing experience on all fronts with the Kuhl team. Our DJ Avalon was professional and fun to work with. She accommodated special requests, last-minute changes, and and ...
a shifting day-of timeline with ease. She covered our ceremony and reception. You can be as hands-on or as hands-off as you want to be with this company. You can listen to playlists curated by each DJ and rank them according to preference before your DJ is assigned based on availability. You complete an extensive questionnaire that would allow any of their skilled DJs to give you an excellent tailored music experience on your big day. Our dance floor was full for the entire reception. And the included up-lighting that they set up in your venue is the cherry on top!

thly with no trouble, despite being at a camp (which could have made it hard). Kuhl Entertainment was extremely responsive, setting us up with everything we needed. No pressure for adding in extra services and really made it feel like we were their only clients. Cam was so nice, and we got glowing reviews of him from our guests. He made unique memories we won't forget. We can't recommend Cam (and Kuhl) enough!
The Kuhl Entertainment crew was such a pleasure to work with! They were professional and made planning and prep a breeze. We would absolutely hire them again for our big day!

on ended up looking much different and was a smaller party with close friends, Josh and team were professional and helpful throughout the process. And the best part was how Josh matched the vibe of our celebration. One of the best pieces of advice we got when planning a wedding was to prioritize getting a good DJ, they’re important to the guest experience. Josh easily adapted his playlists to our interests and got people up and dancing all night long (something we weren’t sure would happen with a small group!) Would highly recommend him or his team for any events.

Josh. Is. Incredible. Having a fun, packed dance floor is the part of the wedding reception that my husband and I were most looking forward to, and Josh made that dream come true. ...
He truly listened to our taste and what we wanted for the night, and knocked it out of the park. From MCing the night, to managing guest requests, and running a dance floor all night, he did not miss. Kuhl Entertainment was so easy to work with throughout the planning process, especially with so many changes to our plans over the past year. We can’t recommend Josh and his team enough. Even now, two months after our wedding, friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor and how they loved Josh. Thank you!!
Kuhl Entertainment and our DJ, Patrick, made our COVID wedding celebration very special. Even with the less than ideal circumstances, Patrick supported our event with great music,...
lighting, and general atmosphere. While we were not able to have a normal dance floor due to the pandemic, Patrick still made our wedding feel very special. We hope to have a larger celebration next year and we hope that Patrick/Kuhl Entertainment can be part of those plans!
Kuhl Ent, specifically DJ Cam, was the key to success at our reception! He was wonderful and fun. He kept the party going until closing time. He kept us to our specific timeline an...
d everything went off without a hitch! There was never any awkward time where our guests were wondering what was next or what to do. As a "Covid Bride" - he really made me feel like our day was a normal wedding during a world of chaos. We've received a lot of comments on our music and DJ services - which we've been happy to hear! Highly recommend Cam & the Kuhl team!
Avalon is the sweetest ever! She was professional and very personal. She kept the dance floor full, but didn't make it a production where all eyes were on the DJ - she really made ...
US the focus. We didn't stick to the traditional structure of the dinner and reception and she conformed everything to fit perfectly into what we wanted. She really took the time to get to know me and my husband prior to the event and I could tell that she took making our event special very seriously. Hands down would recommend for any event!
Kuhl Entertainment and their DJ (Nathan) were spectacular. So easy to work with and customize all the low-level details of our big day. Would highly recommend!!
Our DJ Josh was friendly and professional. He made our day special and easy!!
At one point I was on the dance floor during my wedding and my best friend said to me "It's as if YOU created the playlist!"
Using the information from our interview as well as the...
survey, Patrick was able to cultivate a playlist that had our guests dancing well into the night while remaining true to what my husband and I wanted.
We also used a photobooth through Kuhl. It provided good entertainment for our guests and left us some nice mementos. The only thing I would have changed were the strips that the photos were printed on. I was contacted about the design the week of the wedding and wasn't given a ton of options. Other than that, I'm very pleased that we went with Kuhl and had Patrick as our DJ.
Josh impressed keeping the dance floor lively from the start of the reception to the end! He catered to all our eclectic music needs - classics (especially for my dad), pop, Persia...

ng our DJ and his incredible skill set! It was a blast, from the seamless transitions on the microphone during the ceremony, to the pump up music after the ceremony, and keeping everyone on the dancefloor the entire night. The music seemed to be perfect at every moment. We truly appreciated the dedication to our wishes, and our guests picked up on your vibes, which kept the night exciting.
Additionally, John stayed past his allotted time with nothing but a smile on his face. Overall, Kuhl Entertainment was the perfect choice for our perfect day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Brendan from Kuhl Entertainment was phenomenal. He was easy to work with and made himself available to meet with us when we needed. He kept the dance floor poppin’ throughout the...
night. Our photographers were very thankful for Brendan because plenty of people were on the dance floor and the photographers didn’t have to request guest to go out on the dance floor and “dance”! The facade he used around his DJ booth looked very classy and unique, something I haven’t seen before at weddings and we very much appreciated. He dedicated a lot of time in the day to make sure our wedding went smoothly. He brought plenty of uplights that accented the room and made it glow even more. You can pick from many different color(s). You won’t be disappointed choosing Brendan.

munications were extraordinarily helpful and fun - he helped us discern the kind of music we wanted throughout the reception, and was extremely respectful, professional, and punctual throughout all of interactions with him and at our reception! When the timing of things got changed up a bit during the reception (due to speeches going longer and our table photos going longer), he easily and calmly helped us manage the changes and we were still able to do the fun things we had planned! He worked very well with our reception place (Seven Seas in Hartland, WI) even though it was a reception place he was not very familiar with! So many people (and of course, us!) have said they loved the music at our wedding reception - and my husband and I and many of our guests danced all the way till reception hall closed! And Cam even joined in sometimes too! He was a great emcee for the night and coordinated transitions very well. Cam was also very helpful with all of the pre-planning, from figuring out order for the night, giving suggestions for timeline, working alongside our photographers, providing great templates to choose favorite 'must play' songs (and 'do not play' songs), etc. We loved how we shared similar values with him about life and love, and we are so grateful for his service and talents.

and all questions I had. She helped us with every step of the process and was wonderful! We liked their package options and felt like they were priced reasonably. We also got our photo booth through them and were very happy with it! They had an attendant there during the entire time we had access to it and he was very helpful and fun. They provided lots of props and included a scrapbook for guests to put their strips in and write a little note! Highly recommend.

ears ago and then continued seeing him as he opened for my favorite bands at the Majestic so when my (now!) husband and I got engaged we asked him immediately! We filled out their incrediblely simple yet thorough song questionnaire so he knew what kind of tunes we wanted then on “game day” he kept the dance floor packed while reading the crowd to know what they needed. We cannot rave about him enough! Professional, reliable, fun, and kept everything on time. Stop reading this review and hire Brenden.
Brenden from Kuhl entertainment did an amazing job dj-ing our wedding! The ceremony and reception music were perfect, and the lighting was beautiful. I give them my highest regard!
