About this vendor
Based in Aylett, VA, KW Wedding Flowers is a wedding florist. This family-run business designs arrangements in all manner of styles, from classic garden-inspired to whimsical and bohemian. A local company, the team is happy to work with couples in the Richmond area but can travel throughout central Virginia.
KW Wedding Flowers is run by a sister duo with more than 19 years of experience in the industry. Johanna Bareford and Elizabeth Call discovered their passion for floral design while in high school, where they both studied floriculture. Originally, they had plans to become teachers but realized their shared dream to become florists. They opened this business a short distance outside of Richmond in 2005 to bring that dream to life. Johanna and Elizabeth have traveled throughout North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., helping people to design and decorate their dream days.
Arrangements from KW Wedding Flowers can be used to enhance various aspects of your day, adding even more beauty to this celebration of your love. The sisters are happy to deliver and set up your chosen arrangements, leaving you free to prepare for the day. You and your wedding party can accent your wedding day finery with bouquets, boutonnieres, and flower crowns.

KW Wedding Flowers was truly so amazing for our wedding day, and no post will ever be able to show just how deep our gratitude for them goes! We got married at Seven Springs on May...
2, 2026, and everything about our big day was a dream come true. During the planning process, Liz was always available to help us answer questions, and our meetings were incredibly helpful in making sure we had everything we wanted for our wedding day florals. Liz also worked tirelessly with us to ensure that we could get the most florals possible while staying within budget, which was greatly appreciated. Liz even went a step further and came out to Seven Springs on our wedding day just to make sure that everything was perfect for our big day, which was beyond special for us (especially the bride). Additionally, our wedding florals truly were perfect. With nothing more than some blurry Pinterest board photos, Liz and the KWF team made Seven Springs come alive with lush hydrangeas, ranunculus, delphinium, Italian ruscus, and many more beautiful blooms. With stunning high florals for the tables, delightful bunches of flowers for our hexagon arbor, a bride's bouquet fit for royalty, and BEAUTIFUL greenery on the chandelier over the dance floor, this team is truly so talented, and everyone still RAVES about how gorgeous our florals were for our wedding day. Brides and grooms, if you want a local business who truly exceeds your expectations and makes your wildest floral fantasies come true, you HAVE to consider booking with KW Wedding Flowers!

I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am to have worked with KW Florist for our December wedding. Our wedding was an absolute dream and the florals truly made it magical. W...
e worked closely with Liz leading up to the wedding, and even through our reschedule. We put her through the wringer with tons of questions, rescheduling, planning for indoor then outdoor and back indoors at the very last minute. Her kindness, patience, and grace made her one of our trusted vendors to work with. When the florals showed up on the day, it had just started raining outside. Normally a bride might be bummed by the rain but all I could see were the florals, and I was absolutely in love. I wish we could have saved ALL the florals and brought them home to keep all year round—they were absolutely stunning. Not only were we beyond happy, our guests gave rave reviews all night long. Some folks even said it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever attended. Highly, highly, highly recommend. I want to do it all over again just for the florals. Totally obsessed!!!
KW Flowers is fabulous! It was the recommended florist by our vendor and there is a good reason for it. KWF is one of the more reasonably priced florists we could find in the Richm...
ond area and the quality is just as good. I had a sample bouquet done ahead of the wedding for bridal portraits and it wasn't exactly what I was looking for (colors, flowers) so KWF worked with me that day and made the bouquet how I wanted it. Leading up to the wedding, they asked for inspo pictures, we had phone call meetings, etc. to to nail down all of the flower details. All florals on the wedding were exactly as I had imagined - lots of greenery, fall colors, natural garden style bouquet, they nailed it all. I will be going back to them in the future for any floral needs!

rowing off our entire timeline and all our videos and pictures. While they did apologize after I reached out to them and complained (they didn’t apologize first), they didn’t offer to compensate us for anything or offer any other solution; they simply blamed it on staffing and Covid. Using them was the only mistake we made at our wedding. I would avoid

I didn't do a great job at explaining my vision and she still somehow PERFECTED it. I LOVED my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets. I honestly could not believe how beautiful my flowers were with how little I paid! Seriously fair pricing and they go above and beyond!

from an online florist because we were unsure what to do on such short notice. The online florist sent the order to KWF but they were unhappy. Joanna called my mom and informed her that she had paid way too much for the online order and that she would love to make what we needed at a much lower price and she could customize the flowers for the two pieces. Joanna even drove to our house and delivered the flowers so that we would not have to make the trip to their shop. It was a no brainer picking KWF for our wedding after this experience. Joanna and her team were so helpful and willing to make our dream come to life. I have never been so impressed by flowers in my life and I am now a customer of KWF for life!!

dor team, and the personal and decorative flowers they designed were some of my favorite parts of the entire wedding day. In the weeks leading up to my floral consultation, I saved dozens of photos of wedding flowers that were all pretty, but not quite right. Then, on the day of our in-person consultation, Johanna came walking out with the most gorgeous and perfect centerpiece I had ever seen! She was able to suggest different varieties of flowers and expand our color palette to create something truly spectacular. Don't let their small town location fool you... this shop produces exceptional work, and for a great price with superb customer service. I would book them again a thousand times over. Thank your for making all my floral dreams come true, KWF!

me initially to discuss our hopes for the look of our flowers, then they met with us again for a mock-up and then one final meeting just before the wedding to discuss final numbers and little details. They opened my eyes to the beauty of succulents! At first I was hesitant to use succulents in the bridesmaid and MOB/MOG bouquets.. but looking at the arrangements and I am SO thankful that they suggested it! They found a dusty blue to coordinated so beautifully with my bridesmaid dresses. My bouquet was just stunning and everything I had hoped for... big, cascading, natural yet elegant. They have such a great eye and were amazing at taking my vision and making it come to life! They were so patient & easy to communicate with. I highly recommend using them for your wedding/party/event! They exceeded our expectations. Thank you Liz & Johanna!!!

never actually got to meet with them - we did everything over the phone and by sending pictures of things I liked! They were extremely easy to work with, understood my vision perfectly, and my flowers turned out amazing. KW Florist was one of the only vendors that I knew I didn't have to worry about on my wedding day. They made the whole process so easy and no stress whatsoever. I even made some last minute adjustments and added a few things which they accommodated easily.
Before booking KW Florist, I had spoken with about 3-4 other florists in the area but wasn't super happy with the results. King William was the most cost-efficient AND had the best work in my opinion. I would highly recommend them for your wedding day!!!
