About this vendor
Hi! I'm Lauren. I am a 29 year old photographer from the Lakes Region in New Hampshire, but now reside in Las Vegas, Nevada!
I am a mom to two amazing kids, Charlotte, 6, and Brady, almost 3. I love netflix, baked mac n' cheese, mudslides, and that feeling you get when you look at the back of your camera and immediately fall in love with an image. I try my absolute hardest to make each and every wedding personal to you. I always strive for that magical image that you see and immediately fall in love with and can't wait to share with everyone you know. When you see your images, I want you to FEEL things. I pride myself on being affordable and fair and treating clients the way that I would want and expect to be treated.

the bullet points:
- communication was horrible. Questions would go unanswered for days, or weeks at times. It was always blamed on her ADHD or her busy life, but when you’re run...
ning a business, that’s really not an excuse, it’s just unprofessional
- our photos were lost due to a hard drive malfunction and we spent 5 months not knowing if we’d ever get them or not. we didn’t even KNOW this was happening until the day after our gallery was due and she told us in an email, not even a phone call for such important and heart breaking news. accountability was really never fully taken (see next bullet point) and we were made to feel like this was more devastating to her than it was to us. she shared intimate things from her personal life that really shouldn’t have been shared with me to show that she was so mentally distressed by this which just honestly felt manipulative and like an attempt to get us to feel badly for HER when we were the ones that were being slighted
- the attitude that we received during this process was absolutely unreal. My favorite gem: “I don’t know how else you’d like me to take accountability other than it just sounds like you’re looking for me to say that this was partly my fault, and sure, if that makes you feel somewhat better, you can have that.” that was a wild read! It got to a point where I had to pass off all communication to my wife because I was just tired of hearing all of the personal excuses and getting the attitude of comments like this and so many others that I’ve saved
- It took 8 months total from wedding date to gallery delivery and we still had photos missing. my wife has no photos with her bridal party at all, we have no photos of our families together, and some of the photos that we got had things like the second shooters head obviously in the background
- we received zero offer of a partial refund for the trouble as a gesture of good faith, which kind of astounded me to be honest. She asked for our address to send us a “gift” once our gallery was done - it’s been just shy of 3 months and whatever that gift was supposed to be, it certainly hasn’t found us
- the shorts that she changed into during my reception were short enough that groomsmen were drooling and making comments and family members and friends were noticeably alarmed
I’m an incredibly non confrontational person so I spent the entire time trying to be understanding and patient and brushing things off and giving the benefit of the doubt, but my honest truth is that my wife and I cite hiring Lauren as the one regret we have from our entire wedding experience and we wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone in the world. All I can say is that I truly hope lessons have been learned from this in terms of backing things up properly, but I fear that the communication and attitude aren’t things that are likely to improve.
During our engagement shoot, Lauren was incredibly directive and showed up with a list of poses. Thus, I expected a similar approach at the wedding, however, Lauren didn’t seem to ...
be nearly as directive as evidenced by asking “were there any poses from your engagement photos you liked?” and telling the groomsmen to just “do whatever.”
For each photo delivery I had to ask about them. It took 5 weeks for our engagement photos, 11 weeks for our wedding sneak peaks, 13 weeks for our wedding reception photos, and 30 weeks for the full wedding gallery. At our wedding, my sister asked Lauren about turn around time and she said the 3-month maximum in the contract is a CYA and 1.5 months is more common, yet, it took 2+ months to even receive our sneak peaks. During this time, Lauren was posting updates on her social media about editing challenges, however, those were the only updates as there was zero direct communication. While appreciative of these updates, I was surprised I didn’t receive anything directly because as a business owner myself, there is a standard to directly communicate with any and all clients impacted by difficulties.
Following this pattern, our 3-month deadline came and went with nothing. I reached out the next day asking when we would be receiving the remainder of our photos and got a lengthy response about her hard drive holding our getting ready, wedding party, family, first look, and ceremony photos malfunctioning and erasing all these photos two weeks earlier.
Not only were our photos missing, but apparently had been for two weeks and we’d heard nothing about it. You hear of these stories, but never think it’s going to be you.
The miracle of the story is that seven months post wedding, our photos were recovered and we love them! However, because of the continued lack of communication and professionalism throughout the above ordeal I cannot give a 5-star rating. I understand mistakes and freak accidents happen, but I do not understand the absence of accountability and empathy we received. Throughout this waiting period, I again had to reach out to Lauren for any kind of update and was regularly ignored for days, while, her personal social media was constantly active. When we expressed frustration with the lack of effort to progress the situation we were shut down and met with endless excuses. Furthermore, when we stated how we were feeling about this whole thing, instead of sympathy, she shared her own discourse which seemingly mattered more. The regular reminders of the impact this had on her completely flipped the situation to be about her which was infuriating and beyond unprofessional.
It’s hard not to wonder if these challenges would have happened had our photos been edited sooner or we picked a different photographer. Lauren was the most expensive photographer on our prospective list, but due to loving her editing style, I really pushed to book her. During our initial interview, she was communicative, and we even asked what she had in place to avoid the loss of photos, and she assured us it had never once happened, she had multiple cameras, hard drives, backups, and failsafes.
On paper and based on the reviews we read, she checked out, but our experience proved otherwise. This experience was endlessly stressful and maddening yet it genuinely seemed like Lauren couldn’t care less. If you are a future bride looking for an invested, proficient, and professional photographer, I would not recommend Lauren.
Gifted photographer, incredible friend, and artist.

of emotion and has the eye for the moments that will matter most to YOU.
She has captured the most stunning photos of our engagement and our wedding, as well as many life and business events in between.
She is HIGHLY professional and churns out MAGIC from that camera. There is no one better to hire for the experiences that you want captured... She allows you to be FULLY present in the moment... and then allows you to re-live it all over again.

I wish I could have used Lauren for my wedding photos, as well, as I know she would have done an amazing job. She's truly quite talented and holds herself professionally. She was very accommodating to our needs during the engagement photos, I have no doubt she would have been the same way for our wedding photos.
