L Style Bar

Liz and Vanessa did an incredible job on my hair and makeup for my engagement photo shoot. My original makeup artist decided to cancel on me 2 hours before my shoot, but the girls at L Style Bar got me in right away, made my day, and made me look SO pretty. I'll definitely be back.

I was worried about my hair and makeup team for our wedding and my full service planner recommended Liz and her team to me. I scheduled a full trial ($250) where Liz looked at my inspiration photos, listened to what I did and didn't like, my concerns etc. and then she did a "medium" makeup look, a "heavy" makeup look, a half up and full undo. Essentially two full looks, never rushing me, just so delightful to spend time with, and I LOVED her work at my trial. I hired her shortly after. I was really conflicted on how to rate this team... I honestly would've given them 5 stars but I was SO disappointed with my hair and makeup for my bridal portraits (another $250) that I HATE all of my bridal portraits. Liz wasn't the make up artist, and I honestly can't remember who was that day... so as I said... I've been conflicted about this for months. On our wedding day I wasn't happy with my hair and had a bit of a panic after my first look. I think Liz forgot (and I neglected to remind her) that my hair won't hold a curl once it's put in rollers. So my hair ended up looking very messy in every photo and I was actually really upset about it when I get my photos back. Mostly because I'm very particular about my hair, and had been battling some health issues throughout my engagement that made a lot of my hair fall out so I'm hyper sensitive about my hair anyway. All in all, I still think Liz and her team earned every bit of 4.5 stars. As frustrated as I was over my bridal portraits, and my hair the day of our wedding... she still did an incredible job and her team made my friends and family look absolutely gorgeous! Some of my friends looked better at our wedding than they did at their own (ha!) Liz clearly hires exceptional women to assist her and they were all a joy to work with. One makeup artist Liz brought did my mother's makeup, and my mother was having an emotional moment completely unrelated to her makeup and the artist was so clearly affected by my mother's reaction it actually broke my heart for her. She made my mother look so STUNNING and felt my mom was upset about her makeup and handled it with so much grace and poise and quietly offered to redo my mother's entire face for me if my mother wanted her to. My mom looked so beautiful, and her work was flawless, my mother was just having a rough time with other things going on that weekend ha. I wanted to make sure to mention how well the artist handled it though because it was a sign of a true professional. It breaks my heart I can't remember the women Liz brought with her now so long after our wedding but they were all so talented and wonderful to my friends and family. Liz herself has the most bubbly and wonderful personality and waited while I got into my dress, then made sure my veil and hair pin were perfect before she even packed up her gear. Liz was a joy to work with! I highly recommend her and her team to anyone!

Words cannot even express the utter gratitude I have for Valerie. My wedding was actually on the East Coast and after she helped with my hair and makeup for my Engagement photos I knew I just had to have her present on my wedding day. She flew to the East Coast the night before my wedding and was not only on time but she was early and did such an amazing job with my hair and make-up. I received so many incredible compliments on how beautiful and natural my make-up looked and Valerie was such a joy to have around the morning of our wedding and supported with creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Valerie is amazing at her craft and you will be so incredibly lucky to book her for your wedding day.

I got married in May of 2017. When I started looking at hair salons, I was overwhelmed with all the choices. Since only 4 of us ended up getting our hair and makeup done, I knew I didn't need a hairstylist to come to my venue for an additional fee. I looked at a lot of places and liked how the L Style Bar was only 20 minutes away from my venue Bella Sera Event Center in Brighton. Before I went to my consultation appointment, they told me to send them some hair and makeup examples that I liked ahead of time. Once I went to my appointment, the stylist and I talked about what I liked and didn't like in regards to hair and makeup. The first hairstyle she did was perfect for me and there was no need to tweak anything. Same for the makeup, I looked just how I wanted and was amazed by the transformation. L Style Bar was very accommodating as I kept adding and changing how many people were getting hair and makeup done. They even provided an extra stylist for my party so we would be finished with time to spare before my wedding in the afternoon. I highly recommend the L Style Bar for anyone looking for hair and makeup on their wedding day! My hair stayed in place no matter how many times I had to bend over or as I danced. Also, I cried at least 5 times and my makeup still looked flawless!
