Long story short, it is a beautiful venue for receptions (or any event) of under 100 people, just a lot of frustrating and questionable stuff that comes with it. If you want a litt...

While the wedding reception went great, the journey prior to the wedding was a bit bumpy. We ended up working with three different people in under a year span; not sure if they normally have such high turn-over for the event side, but lead to various issues prior to wedding day. Issues included change of costs, miscommunication/information change (i.e. originally told we don't have to pay meals for DJ and photographer, a couple months prior to wedding told we did), and some important details not being finalized until the last moment. For day of, the only real issue occurred after the reception. We paid for a buffet, and due to several guests not able to make it last minute due to sickness, we should have had even more extra food leftover. Well, wouldn't you know, we got not a single bit of our food leftover to take home. We were told that the food had gone bad and was no longer safe to give when we asked after the reception, but we believe that to be a lie (or at least hope, considering how many events they have done, you would think they would have a system to keep the additional food safe for later), and suspect the employees were the ones who got to take it home. We have no issues about the employees also having meals from it, but there should definitely have been some food leftover considering we were down 8 guests and it being buffet style.
If we could go back in time would we have used this vendor again? Yes, but we definitely would have done things differently; would not have spent the extra money for a buffet (would have saved us several hundreds), would have made it clear how upset we were about the remaining food "going bad" (we were simply too tired after wedding to question it at the time), and would have at least been prepared for the semi-rough journey prior to wedding. At least the actual reception went super smooth, and we've had several guests say that the day went almost if not perfect, so the guest experience was superior.
The venue is beautiful all by itself, but I recommend that you hire an event planner to help with decorating. We had the italian food options and the food was amazing.
The wedding team was fantstic. Everything was relaxed and fun. Tables placement, buffet, gift table, bar set up and dessert bar was awesome.
Absolutely mouthwatering. Go with the mashed potatoes as one of the sides.
I has beautiful rooms that don't need much decorating.;The chicken tenders that were served to the children at my reception were raw and the staff were rude and less than accomodat...
ing at my reception. Also the town houses that we stayed in on their site were not clean.
