We chose La Dolce Vita Bakery because they are the best Italian bakery in Lancaster. They do not advertise as an Italian bakery, but they are an Italian family and have authentic recipes passed down through the generations. My mom wanted tradit...ional Italian cookies and pastries at the wedding and we went taste testing and they were the best.
Our total bill for a wedding cake to feed 100 and cookies/pastries to feed 75 was $700. Not the cheapest option, but everything was superb. Mind you it was my wedding, but that was the best wedding cake I have ever eaten. We had three separate tiers (one was a double tier) and each one was a different flavor combination - chocolate cake with hazelnut filling, vanilla cake with lemon/raspberry filling and vanilla cake with strawberry and whipped cream filling. Besides the smallest top tier that we kept for our anniversary, every bite was eaten. The Italian cookies and cannoli were also fantastic.
