Dorothy at La Jolla Florist was an absolute pleasure to work with! Dorothy met with me before the wedding to create a vision for what I wanted the florals to look like at my wedding. She is an expert in her field and helped guide me in picking florals that perfectly complimented the style, theme, and colors of my wedding. The flowers are very high quality and they looked amazing even 10 days after the wedding! She surpassed all my expectations and I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in the San Diego area.

High quality flowers and just wow. Dorothy is so great to work with and went above and beyond for our wedding church ceremony by adding more to the altar flower arrangements than what we previously discussed. We had to make changes to our original wedding plans due to COVID and Dorothy worked with us to make sure everything went smoothly. Communication was easy via phone and email and the flowers were beautiful. Dorothy and her husband were a huge help to us in picking up the planters from the church following the ceremony as well so we didn’t have to worry about that piece. If you’re looking for high quality customer service and to support a family owned business, we couldn’t recommend La Jolla Florist more. We also had the honor to work with La Jolla Florist for our postponed reception last month and all of the arrangements were gorgeous! They made delivery seamless and picked up the vases with our venue too, amazing service and efficient coordination to make our celebrations so special.

The flowers really do make the wedding and are worth allocating a little more of the budget to get the highest quality and service that Dorothy provides. She is patient and generous with her time and really listens and works collaboratively through talking and sharing inspiration pictures back and forth. Dorothy is detail oriented while keeping the big picture, she knows her flowers and is passionate at what she does, AND she's extremely gifted at really honing in on the bride's vision and dream. I have to say, I'm a life-long flower lover with a garden full of David Austin roses so I had very high expectations of what I hoped everything would look like. Dorothy has a designer's eye and absolutely nailed it and even surpassed what we were envisioning! Everything was so gorgeous and dreamy, from the wedding arch and centerpieces, to the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, down to the boutonnieres and corsages ... every creation really was a beautiful work of art. On top of her upmost professionalism, Dorothy is just a gem of a person and a joy to work with. She truly made my daughter feel so special on her wedding day. I really can't even find adequate words to express how amazing this company is to work with as well as who they are as people at their core. Dorthy and her husband have phenomenal talent, a beautiful eye for arranging, and the best heart of anyone that I've had the pleasure of working with in this industry. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a beautiful wedding day and that everything went smoothly with delivery as well as clean up. My bouquet was the most creative and beautiful bridal bouquet that I've ever seen, and the bridesmaids bouquets were the size of a typical bride's bouquet (definitely above and beyond expectations). I could seriously go on and on about how wonderful this florist is, and you will certainly not be disappointed in working with them for your future wedding or event!

Dorthy is phenomenal! She is family to us now. My flowers were outstanding! She was very honest about cost and made sure she stayed in my budget but totally accomplished my vision. She has great advice and so good at communicating with me. She always answered every email and text I sent to her. She even went out of her way to help me get a cake stand for my wedding cake. When I think of the floral creations Dorth did for us, all I can say is WOW. They absolutely blew me away. I was so nervous leading up to the day and when I saw my bouquet, I nearly lost my mind. They were perfect to a T. Not only did she deliver my vision, she exceeded it by a million. They really set the boho vibe I was going for and made our wedding so stunningly unique. We received SO many compliments. On top of Dorth’s talent, she was a pleasure to work with. She is kind, personable and accommodating to our wants and budgets. Dorthy went above and beyond for us! I can't recommend her and her florist shop enough! She is so sweet and amazing to work with. You can really tell she loves her clients and wants to make each wedding unique and make each bride feel special. She also creates beautiful flower arrangements and bouquets. She brought all of my visions to life. I showed her a picture of the bridal bouquet I wanted and she created it perfectly with our own touch of uniqueness. I was able to come look at it the night before the wedding to make sure it was perfect (it was!). She also allowed us to come in and set up our table decorations with some sample garland to see how it would all pan out and look and she provided her own feedback from her experience. On the day of our wedding she made sure the tables were set up perfectly (something she did not have to do but did because that is how much she cares!). She also stayed after the ceremony to help transport some floral pieces to the reception. She really was a life saver and and I can't recommend her enough!

Dorthy and her team made my wedding bouquet dreams come true!! She created EXACTLY what I had been dreaming of, the flowers for ur wedding could to have been more perfect! We found this company through the Abbey Catering Company and their all inclusive package, and are so so so happy we did! Dorthy and I spoke via phone and e-mail to come up with the right designs and she was able to work with my budget as well. Highly highly recommend La Jolla Florist for any bride searching for their florist! Dorthy even helped set up the chiffon on our wedding arch and made sure it was perfect. She came back to the hotel where we were getting ready after she had already delivered the flowers, to show me pics of the arch and make sure everything was just as we wanted. So thankful for all the beauty she created for our wedding!

DORTHY AND GLEN WERE BEYOND AMAZING TO WORK WITH! I had a vision that I basically built off of Pinterest and they brought it to life! My husband and I decided to go with a tropical theme for our wedding. We were very adamant about making sure this didn't get mistaken for "Hawaiian". We wanted something classier with more of the big dark green leaves and accents of gold and that's what they gave us. The main flowers we chose were Ginger and we left it up to them to blend other tropicals in! THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB! They incorporated flowers that were so unique and different which is exactly what we wanted. It made every arrangement eye catching! Both Dorthy and Glen were such a pleasure to work with. They have an incredible eye for detail and will turn your dream into something more than you could've ever asked for. They are very real and down to earth people. You feel like you've known them forever after meeting them only one time! Our first meeting with them went for 2 hours because we just started talking! It was awesome, they are awesome, their work is incredible, and I highly recommend them to everyone!

Dorthy at La Jolla Florist is the best person to work with! She took my inspirational pictures and ideas and turned them into gorgeous flower arrangement for our wedding. She accommodated my every request, even a last minute one and everyone was talking about how beautiful the flowers looked.

She really worked with me and my budget and cared more about making sure my day was special and nice as opposed to money. My bouquet was so beautiful with the extra touches she added.
