La Louisiane was extremely responsive through e-mail and made it so easy to coordinate coming in for our tasting when we were traveling from out of town. I thought the price was very fair also. Really can't say enough good things about working with this vendor!

Because of COVID, Shannon arranged a take home tasting for us, which was a box that we picked up from their office and included different cake and frosting flavors. It was a fun and easy way to choose our cake flavors. In the end, everything we chose was delicious, and our guests raved about it. The cake was also beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned. We are so pleased with La Louisiane, and we definitely look forward to ordering more delicious cakes from them again in the future!

I had a very specific idea of what I wanted both my wedding cake and the groom's cake to look like, and La Lou actually exceeded my expectations. Not only were they beautiful, but they tasted so fresh. Other bakeries may make your cake early in the week and refrigerate them, but La Lou's cake tasted so fresh on the night of my wedding. They're super easy to work with, flexible with what you want, and overall the most impressive bakery I had encountered during my search. 10/10 recommend.

My husband requested a more complicated groom’s cake design and they replicated his vision exactly as expected. The taste test prior to the wedding was the highlight of our wedding planning process! Once you try their cakes, you won’t look anywhere else.

We met them in person during a trip down for tastings, and we not only decided on the design of the cake, but also flavor and a dessert table in a matter of one hour. They knew exactly what we wanted and worked very well with our other vendors for the wedding reception. Our guests during and after the wedding are still asking us what flavor cake we had because it was so good! I highly recommend using La Louisiane Bakery especially if you are doing a destination wedding in New Orleans.

a tree trunk cake stand which we dropped off to them. They learned a few day’s before the wedding that the wood was really dry, causing it to split and making it unusable. The baker went out of his way to create another piece of wood to reinforce the original tree trunk. It didn’t show and allowed my daughter to have what she really wanted. Truly beyond the call of duty—so kind.

erson tasting only once, shared our feedback, and then they nailed it in the finished product. Since I am gluten intolerant, we wanted one tier to be GF. To avoid cross contamination, we had a deconstructed cake with separate tiers. I chose a rose water flavored cake, which was custom and they did a fantastic job making the (blush colored) buttercream icing rose-flavored! My husband chose a chocolate/white chocolate combination for another tier, and a strawberry/vanilla/almond “Bakewell Tart” imitation for the third tier. It was all entirely amazing and we enjoyed cake at the reception and again at brunch the next day! Thank you LaLou!

Not eating more of La Lou's delicious cake was definitely top of list (but we saved the top tier, so looking forward to that). We ordered two cakes -one 3-tiered almond cake with lemon mousseline and the other was a single layer cake with coconut mousseline (highly recommend both). Neither lemon or coconut overpowered - was a really nice blend and made it more interesting than plain almond. It was important for us to have something a bit interesting that would appeal to most guests, so this combination worked really well : ) Beyond how delicious the cake actually tasted, it was simply gorgeous. We wanted them decorated as "scrape" and the other as a "swirl" and both with cascading flowers (done by our florist), and the presentation couldn't have met my vision better. Additionally, Amanda is a gem and so easy to work with, plus super attentive to detail. Everything happened as we requested. We so enjoyed how she accommodated us at the cake tasting and helped me decide on the final cakes (I was a stressed out, indecisive bride, so Amanda's approach was on point). Cake was delivered to our venue (~20 miles away) on time with no issues at all. Finally, if you are on a budget like we were, we were happy at such a reasonable price for what I described above. A+ review, would highly recommend them!

ght I would just get dessert, but as it turns out, getting a cake was more affordable than getting dessert at my venue. I saw a La Louisiane cake at my venue's instagram and after reading the reviews, expect it to be super expensive. I was surprised by how affordable our naked red velvet cake was! It was also DELICIOUS! Moister than I expected and the frosting was not too sweet. LaLou also did our desserts and I can particularly recommend the sugar cookies and key lime pie which were particular favorites. I would not hesitate to go back here if I had another event.

s beyond disappointed in my own wedding cake. Despite multiple confirmations -- including the week before -- my cake was wrong. Of course no one would know this until we actually cut into the cake... It looked the part, but the whole reason we chose this bakery over another, more reasonably priced bakery was left out of our cake completely. When I brought this up to them after returning to town, they admitted an error on one tier but claimed I was wrong on the remaining tiers. My photos came in and proved the cake was done incorrectly. I advised the bakery of this and all I got was a "whoops". This bakery is not cheap and I'm disappointed that when they screwed up our wedding cake, there was no attempt at making it right.

Wedding cake CAN be special and taste amazing. We were blown away at our tasting. They had so many options for cakes and fillings, we ended up going with three different cakes and fillings because they were all that good. They were so easy and accommodating to work with, were patient while we waited on my husband to settle on a grooms cake, and the cakes were both stunning to look at and delicious to eat. I highly, highly suggest working with La Louisiane.

All of my guests kept asking for more cake, and the venue had to set some aside for us to take home because it was getting eaten so quickly. She was so easy to communicate with and delivered the most beautiful wedding cake and groom's cake! Not only was it exquisite, but it was so delicious. Our guests were going back for seconds and raved about the cake. We chose the pistachio and the almond mousseline fillings, and they were equally as delicious. I cannot say enough good things about the cake. I highly recommend La Louisiane and it was one of the best decisions we made! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

So my cake arrived right when I was walking down the aisle--- only 3 hours later than what everyone was told. This lack of communication or caring is just irritating and even more infuriating on a stressful day. They make great cakes but the business aspect is lacking. I do not need to chase a cake vendor after paying for it.
