Exceptional Wedding Catering
La Palapa was an excellent choice for our wedding catering. We wanted to prioritize local vendors and what makes La Palapa especially so perfect for a wedding is their ability to serve all diets and preferences. Whether it's gluten free, vegetarian/vegan, or nut allergies, we were able to pick a menu that was delicious and safe for everyone. The taco bar was also very customizable :)
The empanadas and tamales were big hits! It was a big year of weddings for my family and they were happy to have something different than the normal wedding reception faire.
Jesus took great care of us leading up to the event and during the event itself. We chose them over other vendors because they can do it all. They provided a bartender and alcohol and coffee carafes too. Our guests loved how friendly and welcoming the bartender was.
Though Pittsburgh isn't world-renowned for its Mexican cuisine, our out-of-town guests (many from the West Coast) were blown away by the quality of the food. Jesus was both friendly and professional throughout the planning process and offered us a customized menu of three tacos, two empanadas, chips and salsa, and Mexican sodas for our 100 guests. La Palapa was also able to accommodate gluten-free and vegetarian options for our guests. Jesus and the other server worked hard through the summer heat and went above-and-beyond with tasks like keeping our drinks on ice and cleaning tables, even though we didn't ask or expect them to. All the while they had no issue serving all of our guests in a reasonable amount of time. In addition to the quality food and service, their buffet-style catering was priced very reasonably. If you love Mexican food as much as we do, we would highly recommend La Palapa for your wedding.
