We got married at La Quinta Resort in May 2025 and had an incredible experience overall. The property is gorgeous. The mountains, the flowers, the architecture. It’s hard to beat. ...
It gave our wedding the perfect mix of elegance and relaxed desert charm.
From the beginning of planning through the wedding weekend, Jasmina, our catering manager, was one of the best parts of the whole process. She’s smart, kind, stayed calm even when things got a little hectic, and was always one step ahead. Anytime we had a question or something unexpected came up, she got back to us quickly and helped us figure it out. She made us feel like she really cared and always had our backs, and we were so lucky to have her in our corner.
Because of a heatwave, we had to move our ceremony last minute to the waterfall under the tree. The original lawn space was too exposed. Luckily, that spot wasn’t booked and the resort made the switch without any hesitation. It ended up feeling peaceful and intimate and looked beautiful surrounded by greenery. Cocktail hour was in the El Presidente Suite, which had such a fun and cozy vibe. Then we moved to the San Vicente Courtyard for dinner and dancing. That space was absolutely magical once the string lights turned on. Everything just flowed in a way that felt easy and made sense as the night went on.
Veronica oversaw all the food for both our welcome party and the wedding day, and she was amazing. She’s incredibly thoughtful about how things are set up and how guests will experience them. She spotted little things before they became problems and just handled them. It’s clear she takes a lot of pride in what she does and wants things to go well.
The food itself was fantastic. We had so many guests tell us it was some of the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The appetizers were fun, dinner was delicious, and everything came out smoothly. The staff was friendly and professional and kept everything moving on time without it ever feeling rushed.
One little heads-up if you’re planning a spring or fall wedding: ask when the resort plans to switch out the seasonal flowers. You might have a certain look in mind and then arrive to find something totally different. Also check if there’s a corporate buyout happening near your date. Even if it officially starts after your wedding, setup could begin days earlier with signage or temporary structures that shift the feel of the resort.
La Quinta is a large resort with a lot of moving parts. There are food and beverage minimums, service charges, and if you’re outdoors, music has to stop at 10 PM because of city rules. But if you’re organized and get to work with people like Jasmina and Veronica, it’s more than worth it. We had a weekend full of love, joy, and beautiful moments and wouldn’t change a thing.
We recently had our wedding at La Quinta Resort, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the beauty of the resort set the stage for an incredible weekend. Our ce...
remony was held on Morgan Lawn, and the reception took place at The Grove—both locations were beautiful, intimate, and provided the ideal backdrop for our wedding photos.
The food was fantastic—our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. All our friends and family had a wonderful time and loved that they could stay right on-site with us for the entire weekend. We never had to leave the resort, and honestly, we never wanted to!
Aside from celebrating, there was so much to do. Our group enjoyed playing pickleball, attending yoga sessions, and taking advantage of the many fun activities available. The staff at La Quinta Resort went above and beyond—they were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our special weekend truly unforgettable.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our wedding. Highly recommend La Quinta Resort to anyone looking for the perfect destination wedding venue!
We would choose La Quinta for our wedding venue over and over again. We had the best experience, from the staff's customer service, to the amenities and event support. Jasmina was ...
incredible! Not only did she help our dream wedding come to life, but she was with us every step of the way offering support, getting to know our families, and bringing her energy through to the very end when she came to the wedding.
The resort staff is exceptional. The FOOD blew the roof off.
And to top it off, this historic hotel is nestled in the beautiful desert canyons that provide the best backdrop. 10/10 recommend.
We had our dream wedding at La Quinta Resort & Club! From start to finish, our experience was incredibly special, and we felt truly cared for. Jasmina, the on-site wedding coordina...
tor, was an absolute gem, ensuring every detail was perfect and every question promptly answered. Our guests raved about the entire experience—from the delicious food to the gorgeous La Casa venue, the wonderful hotel experience, and the kind staff. Additionally, we organized a pickleball tournament the day before our wedding, which was a massive hit. Kevin and the tennis pros went above and beyond to ensure the 50+ person tournament ran smoothly. I highly recommend getting married at La Quinta Resort & Club
Jasmina and the team at La Quinta Resort & Club were the best. Jasmina and her team helped bring our vision to life, and our special day was even better than we imagined. We would ...
definitely recommend La Quinta Resort & Club to anyone getting married!
My fiancé and I were looking to have a small and intimate wedding ceremony but could not find a beautiful and reasonably priced location. After almost giving up hope, I called La Q...
uinta Resort and had the pleasure of speaking to Darin Sturgill who helped coordinate our wedding ceremony and made the entire process very easy and stress free. There was great communication from the La Quinta staff and were always available for any calls or questions. Our ceremony was perfect and had beautiful views for all the wedding photos. Definitely recommend La Quinta Resort for any and all of your wedding needs. Also great as a getaway location!

urtyard, which is a private area at the resort. The events and catering team were professional and so friendly - They took care of everything and made our wedding weekend dreams a reality!
La Quinta. I have never encountered a place like La Quinta that truly does not want your business and is so rude about it. Beware, they will GHOST you without any explanation or ki...
ndness. It took weeks to get anyone on the phone. That should have been the initial red flag. Then I travelled from the East Coast to schedule a site visit on a Friday morning with Sandy Maurin. They night before, they called and tried to cancel on me, even though they knew I had traveled across the country to be there. When I showed up, they kept me waiting 30 minutes, and the person who showed up was not the events coordinator, Sandy Maurin, I had made an appointment with. Nevertheless she (Gladys) was great and showed us around. She said she'd get back to us with a quote and date options. I waited a week and wrote a nice follow up email. I waited another week. Then another. I waited three weeks, sending follow ups and leaving messages all the while. No return call. No nothing. I was ready to give up but my mother, a longstanding La Quinta guest (70 years in our family visiting La Quinta) called the hotel manager and complained and they connected us right away to Sandy Maurin. It felt like an actual miracle to locate this person. We gave Sandy the benefit of the doubt, had a nice conversation, and planned a second site visit for one week later. I thought – maybe she just had a rough month, let’s give them another shot. Again, we asked for a proposal, for dates, etc. She said she would get them to us by the end of the day, we made sure she had our email address, that she had my number, that I had her info. She also said she would include a discount code for booking our stay for the site visit which was less than 6 days away. And then AGAIN....they ghosted us! No call, no proposal, no codes, no nothing. I called back each day of the week. Left a message, sent emails. I wrote, I don’t feel comfortable planning a cross-country trip for a site visit without the proposal or being able to reach you. I haven’t heard from them since. No apology, no contact. Be advised.
Although this is a pretty venue in Palm Springs area I am hesitant to promote this venue as we were highly disappointed by the general service and demeanor of the hotel staff. As w...
e got closer to the wedding date, I recognized there were other events, but I felt as though my event was dismissed and took days to get responses from the event coordinator, and those responses were often curt and condescending. The other departments were equally not helpful. In making hotel reservations- from the beginning it was challenging. Guests were told repeatedly from the first week that we did not have a room block or that the rooms were sold out (both wrong) and I had to spend hours on the phone trying to reconcile this with the hotel and my guests. This became a bigger issue as I realized many guests were booking outside the room block or at other hotels because they were told no rooms were available. This became an issue as we were trying to fulfill our room commitments. Even the week before my wedding when I called the reception desk I was told I did not have a bridal suite and then later when I spoke with the room manager I was told my brother's room was not confirmed. This took nearly an hour to clarify. All this confusion in booking and planning of rooms, makes me reconsider if this venue can handle or can cater to a wedding of a larger size (I had 500 guests).
Furthermore, throughout the wedding weekend we were very disappointed by the staff. I recognize that we were not the only guests but we had at least 200 guests staying at the resort and we were treated more like a nuisance. Several guests came and told us that the golf carts attendants were rude and annoyed they had to drive to the golf course for our welcome dinner. I was also told by my event planner that the banquet manager did not know the floor plan or timelines. Also the night of the wedding no one at the front desk knew where our reception was to give directions even though it was merely 50 feet away. The servers were delayed in setting up the ballroom and the ceremony site. My event planner and her assistants ran around and to place napkins on the tables as none were ready for the ballroom reveal! We were also told by many guests that they were rude- would literally drop their dinner plates on the table, would take dishes away when guests were mid-bite without asking if they were done, ignoring guests when they were asking for refills of water, and they honestly did not seem to know what tables they were covering. The bartenders, I understand may not be allowed to pass out shots, but instead of explaining that to a guest who ordered several shots they just threw them in the trash to make it a point, which is extremely rude and not why we chose your luxury resort to host our wedding weekend.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this to other friends or members of our community as for the amount we spent at this venue we expected a much higher caliber of service. We invested a lot of time and money planning this event and making sure the we and the guests would have an unforgettable experience. Instead, I heard many negative comments about the venue and staff. It is very hurtful to hear that some guests left the resort with a sour taste about their experience at The La Quinta Resort.
One of the most beautiful places in the Coachella valley to get married and the staff are what you would expect from a Waldorf Astoria property - so helpful and hospitable. We had ...
guests from all over the country and the world attending our wedding and it was a great way to give them a fantastic weekend vacation without totally breaking the bank. There is so much history at La Quinta and so much for your guests to do (pools, tennis, yoga, golf, shopping and great restaurants) that you will have an amazing time. Sandra Maurin was our coordinator and was awesome, but I am sure no matter who you work with you won't be disappointed. We can't wait to go back to visit for anniversaries to come.
Our reception and ceremony was held at La Casa at the La Quinta. The venue was perfect and exactly what we wanted. There were a few hidden costs that we weren't expecting, but noth...

I was so pleased with La Quinta. We go there all the time to vacation, so it was easy to decide to have our wedding there as well! We had it at La Casa, their outdoor Spanish-style...
courtyard, because I wanted to get married at sunset and dance under the stars! It's beautiful and the whole space is fully closed off, so you won't get any of the resort guests wandering accidentally into your space.
We were very pleased with Jennifer, their wedding coordinator. She is super friendly and helpful and pulled a lot of strings to get me everything I wanted! The food was also FANTASTIC. The chef designed a fully vegan and primarily gluten-free menu for us to support my diet, and the guests all raved about it!
I would recommend La Quinta in a heartbeat. The really make you feel special and provide everything for a truly magical wedding.
This was the worst experience ever! We had set up a room block here as it was touted as an amazing hotel and it was close to the wedding venue. A week before the wedding, a guest...
called to confirm their reservation as they never received confirmation. The hotel lost all of our guest reservations! They tried to explain a former employee had messed up. I'm sorry, but that doesn't help us now! They finally fixed it and ended up double booking several guests and even combined guest names to create fictional people. They double charged several guests. And they charged us for unused rooms that were supposed to be automatically canceled. We're trying to get all of our money refunded and that is turning out to be just as aggravating. On top of all of this, the rooms were old and out dated. They were loud. The shutters blocked no light, so it was too light to sleep. When my stylist came to get me ready for my wedding, the front desk tried to turn her away saying their were no weddings that day. It took several front desk people to understand that I was getting ready there and having my wedding at a different (and MUCH BETTER) venue! And to top it off, after the rehearsal we went to one of their many restaurant/bars. One of my guests gave a waitress his black American Express. SHE LOST IT!! The manager said he would comp some drinks, as if that would solve anything! About 45 minutes later, another waitress found it sitting on the ground in an open walkway. Save yourself the frustration and do not stay there!!
We loved our wedding here, however the service from the Catering Team was extremely poor. Make sure you document everything and double check all documents. The service added so ...
