decision I had to make. The lady helping me was awful and impatient and didn't listen to anything I had wanted. I left and came back to la soie about 3 months later and had a much better experience. I found the dress and the lady helping was great. For the amount of revenue that place picks up they really need a makeover. The carpet they have in there is gross and it's hard to feel like a beautiful princess when the surrounding area isn't as spectacular as you'd want it. Their dress selection is just too good to just skip over them so I definitely recommend going to them at some point in your search

pressured to buy and they were always willing to help. After going to about 6 or 7 different bridal salons trying on an uncountable number of dresses, I returned to La Soie to purchase. They were extremely helpful throughout the process and have a variety of collections and price ranges fit for just about any bride and style. The onsite fittings and alterations also made a nice touch.

e working and a different manager than before. The manager was rude every time I came in. I had my last fitting and they scheduled me an appointment to come pick up my dress from the shop and they would have it steamed and ready to go. When I came to pick it up that day it was in the bag and they told me they didn't steam it because I should wait until a few days before the wedding to bring it in. So I brought it in Wednesday before my Saturday wedding and they told me it would TAKE a few days to steam it. When I flipped out and told her she told me to bring it then, she said she could have it done by the next day for me to pick up at 6pm. I didn't come in the next day because I got behind with setting up wedding stuff so I came in Friday when they opened. My dress was IN THE BAG. She made an excuse and said it was because I didn't come pick it up the night before and I asked her why she didn't call me if she was going to do that because I would've sent someone to get it. She then said she will steam it and it will take about 30 min. I also don't live close to valencia I live about 30 min. out and so I had to run all my errands go home and then go back out to pick up my dress to still have it WRINKLED. I will never recommend this place to any of my friends or family, it was a huge upset the whole time and the manager never took responsibility for her mistakes and tried to make it seem like it was my fault.

5th store I went into. Estheticly it is beautiful, and it really is refreshing to go into a pretty store where the people are kind and enjoy helping you. After all, this will likely be the only time you are spending over $1,000 on a dress so the place you purchase that dress from should be comfortable and not look like a warehouse. Also what I loved about this particular store was that all the dresses were not crammed together. They were displayed beautifully and it was very easy to look through and pick out ones I liked. I found my dress right away. I didn't feel rushed at all by anyone there. Also their alteration specialist (Selpi) is incredible! I was so pleased with the fit of my dress. I had to go 2 times to alter different parts of my dress but it turned out so perfect and it was way worth it. Their dresses ranged from $1,500 and up for new styles and they also have a sale rack.

pful and reasonably priced. My second visit was awful. They told me to come in for my first fitting, but when I arrived there, they informed me there was no tailor there. They basically just made me come to pick up the dress, and on Valentines Day, might I add. They then told me I would have to drive all the way to Pasadena, a good hour and a half drive, to get my alterations done. In the end, I went to an outside tailor to get my alterations done, and the cost was less than half of what La Soie quoted me. I think my second visit was poor because there had been management changes. I love my dress, but it is unfortunate that the service has gone so down hill.

Ordered my dress, waited 5 months for it, and it came in the wrong fabric. They ordered me new dress and it came within 3 weeks. I also ordered a color swatch so I could find a veil that would be the same color. That was a nightmare to get. That took another 2 months to get after I had gotten my new fixed dress. The manager apologized for all the issues with my dress and color swatch, but was not willing to give me free alterations. She said it was company policy to only give 30% off which I had already “won” in a raffle when I ordered my dress. I loved my dress, but I should have ordered it from another store.

The seamstress quit and they were making the clients go to Pasadena, CA store but not accommodating alteration times, and she was just wonderful - changed my whole view on the store and even though she is not based at the Torrance store, she was there each time I needed her. She truly helped to make the experience special.

. Both locations have me great service. I was able to buy my dress at the Pasadena location and then get my dress altered at the Torrance location.

ely changed the look of my dress, adding beading over almost everything, and she did a perfect job. She was able to take the image in my mind and bring it to life, creatig my dream dress. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. I couldn't have had a better experience and was pleased with everything. I highly recommend them to any bride!

nto La Soie and met a great lady who quickly took me and my family under her wing and started sharing her knowledge of "weddings." She helped me find the perfect dress and my vision became a reality. I had looked several places and wasn't treated like a princess until I came here. I think EVERY bride looking for her dress deserves this. No matter her "budget." Little did the other shops know that my budget was huge. I just didn't have the right purse that day :) Thank you La Soie again and again!!

dress selection is pretty extensive and I found the Allure dress I had my eye on. The seamstress really knows her stuff and did an amazing job for me. My weight fluxuated a lot since I had lost 8lbs in a 3 weeks. However, when I came back for the final fitting, I just felt like it didn't fit perfect. When I talked to the seamstress about it she told me "You're just stressed. It's in your mind." I thought it was so inappropriate and she kept saying it over and over and not listening to me. Rule #1 - Never tell a bride she's being crazy! Even if she is! When I came back to pick up my dress after "steaming", threads were hanging out everywhere and the entire slip underneath was wrinkled. They ended up steaming it again in front of me. I'm still shocked after all I paid they were willing to give me the dress in that condition. I'm sad the last couple visits kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, however they are still a thousand times better than David's Bridal and the dresses are beautiful. Still recommend!

use they actually pulled out a dress that I fell in love with and bought right then and there! I told the lady (sorry I forgot the name... fran?) the style I liked and the price range, and she pulled this GORGEOUS Maggie Sottero dress. Everyone who has seen this dress has absolutely loved it and a few have even said it's the most gorgeous dress they had ever seen (ok maybe they were just flattering me, I don't know, but still!) The best part of it was... only $1000! I watch all these "Say Yes to the Dress" and the average is $3K or something, but La Soie can provide something like this for $1K, I feel that is the best deal in the world. Thank you La Soie, I almost didn't find the best dress EVER! They also steamed the dress and veil (which I got elsewhere) for free, and were happy to have me try it on and everything after they steamed it. Great service, great eye, great selection, great price.

n recommended some dresses to me that were within my budget, and I found the perfect dress on the second visit. It ended up being slightly above my budget, but at the end, it was totally worth it. I received so many compliments on the dress. I was nervous because the dress arrived 2 weeks before my wedding date, especially because fittings are only performed on Thursdays. Thankfully, their seamstress is really good, and no adjustments had to be made after the alterations were performed. My only complaint is that we would often have to wait 30 min or more for the seamstress to arrive, which was tough because of my work schedule on Thursdays. Alterations are really expensive here, but there was a 30% off promotion when I bought the dress, which made it comparable to other tailors I had called. It really is crazy... alterations for my dress costed $450 after the discount!! But I guess that is normal for wedding dresses. The staff has always had very good customer service and has been accommodating. They were able to steam the wrinkles out of the dress on the day of my final fitting so that I didn't have to make another trip and come back the next day. Overall, I was very happy with the dress. I wore it throughout the ceremony and reception, and I plan to wear it again at our wedding reception back home too!

My budget was around $1,000-$1,500 and there were plenty of dresses to choose from. - Dressing rooms are nice, big and spacious. - You can take pictures! This is probably one of the best things about the store since you start to get really confused once you try on multiple dresses. - Dress arrived even earlier than the estimated date, so no stress. - The initial sales associate that helped me was great. She really listened to the styles that I liked and also provided good recommendations. Cons: - Noticed 2 minor imperfections with the ruching on my dress but the associates kept insisting that it was just the way the dress was made and there was no way around it. They insisted that it would look fine when steamed. The steam helped but still think the dress had minor flaws. - Some of the sales associates seem a bit passive aggressive (esp. when I was pointing out the imperfections mentioned above). - The salon cannot "store" or hold on to your dress once it arrives, so if there is a few months between arrival and 1st fitting, you'll need to find a good place at home to store it. - The magic bras they sell in store are ridiculously overprice. You can purchase anywhere online for 1/4 of the cost.

the perfect one. The alterations team did such a great job. I was really nervous because my dress came in just 30 days before my wedding and was too small! The alterations were done perfectly and the dress was ready in two weeks. Also, I was so busy the week of my wedding that I forgot to take my dress in for steaming/pressing. I called to let them know I missed my appointment and they had it done within 24 hours at no cost. La Soie was great, the dresses are so beautiful and reasonably priced.

ming, patient, and helpful. Eleven months before my wedding, I went to La Soie to browse through their wedding gowns. They asked for my budget (under $900), and after I told them, they had three wedding gowns within my budget. They were so helpful and patient with me. I tried on all three dresses, even trying on one of the dresses twice! How did it go? After the visit, I went to a couple more bridal shops and a few days later, went back to La Soie. It was THE dress! La Soie provided such wonderful customer service. They even allowed me to take photos during the fitting! Any questions I had, they happily answered for me. They contacted me when my dress arrived and when my dress was completed after alterations. Scheduling fittings were very easy, too. Because of how smoothly everything went with my wedding dress, I decided to order bridesmaid dresses from them, too. Even though it did cost more than a few other places I saw (online), I still went with La Soie because I trusted them. Overall, I recommend brides to check out La Soie. FYI - during my visits, I noticed a majority of dresses were at least $1k. However, it is worth a visit because of the variety and the customer service!

I loved trying on all the different dresses but the one I originally wanted was my dream dress and everyone agreed! Franchesca was very helpful, gave her honest opinion, and wasn't pushy in any way. We purchased the dress and they told us it would take 4-5 months, which would make it arrive in June. I got the call last week in May, my dress was in 2 weeks early! I went and tried it on and it was perfect. I wanted to alter the neckline to make it a sweetheart neckline, and their seamstress came in and pinned me on the spot. I went back about a month later and the alteration was perfect. The pricing was VERY fair and reasonable for the dress and the alteration. They steamed my dress for free and when I picked it up 2 days before my wedding it was absolutely perfect. Every interaction with the girls at La Soie was seamless and pleasant. They always returned my calls in a timely matter. I highly recommend La Soie in Torrance!!!

ught I wanted to try on. She was able to pull almost all of them and actually pulled another dress she thought I'd like. When I first saw it, I thought, "it's okay, but I'll try it on." It was the first of six I tried on. I didn't absolutely love it until I tried on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th dress. I kept going back to this first dress which I just fell in love with. Silly me I walked out of there without buying the dress, a) because it was the first dress...I thought there'd be more dresses out there even more spectacular and b) I wanted to shop around for a better price. Needless to say, neither worked out. I went back to La Soie a few months later and bought my dress and veil there. Francesca was the gal I worked with mostly after I bought the dress and she was so sweet. I have to say, the entire sales staff was never pushy to get me to buy the dress and they were always very professional and really made you feel like a bride when you were there. Even the gal who did my alterations was amazing (I don't remember her name). She was defintiely a pro with her work and knew exactly what she was doing. Brides, if you end up going with La Soie, rest assured you will get excellent service from everyone there.

r what your price range is and the service is great! I went to one place and they told me I was only allowed to try on only 7 dresses or else I would get confused. I am not an idiot. La Soie didnt care how many dresses I tried on or how many times I tried the same dress on...they wanted to make sure that I get the dress of my dreams and I did! Go to La Soie!
