My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Alexis to choreograph our first dance for our wedding in May, and I cannot express enough how wonderful our experience was with he...
r. Alexis made us feel completely at ease. My husband was initially nervous about taking dance lessons, but Alexis's warm and encouraging demeanor quickly dispelled any apprehension. She has this amazing ability to blend professionalism with a genuine sense of joy that makes every lesson not just productive, but genuinely fun.
Alexis took the time to understand our vision for our first dance and tailored the choreography perfectly to fit our skill level and personalities. She has an incredible knack for breaking down complex steps into manageable parts, ensuring that we felt confident and excited about our dance.
Learning our first dance routine with Alexis became one of the most enjoyable parts of preparing for our wedding. It was a stress-reliever amidst all the planning, and each lesson felt like a mini-celebration of our love and upcoming marriage.
If you're looking for someone who is not only a skilled dance instructor but also a wonderful person to share this special journey with, look no further than Alexis. She is a gem in the world of dance instruction, and her passion for what she does shines through in every lesson. We are so grateful to have had her guidance and can't recommend her enough for anyone looking to make their wedding dance a magical moment.
Alexis made my first dance dreams a reality <3
TL;DR shes amazing, you can’t go wrong asking her to choreograph and teach you a dance for any occasion!
We were looking for a wed...
ding dance choreographer for our destination wedding in Tuscany. I grew up dancing Chinese ethnic dance and ballet and knew I wanted our dance to be more of a performance rather than a traditional first dance.
We found Alexis on the Thumbtack app, she is one of the highest and most reviewed in our LA area. She was so easy and fun to work with! She challenged us with difficult dance moves but also simplified things so we can learn them step by step. My now-husband does not have much dance experience and Alexis was able to teach him not only his steps, but how to envision his moves to make him dance more naturally. She also taught him to lead in our dance.
I wanted a romantic princess-like first dance and she understood my vision and choreographed until we were satisfied with the results. We chose Beauty and the Beast as our song and Alexis helped us cut the music to match our dance.
We ended up needing 10 sessions to learn and perfect our dance. And Alexis was extremely flexible with my challenging work schedule. We also witnessed another couple learning a Kpop dance with Alexis prior to one of our lessons! Can’t wait to attend some of her group dance classes!
