photos on Lacey's blog. We contacted her very spur of the moment and she happily agreed to meet us for a session while we were in NOLA. Lacey really went above and beyond for us during our session. She immediately made us feel very comfortable, put us into beautiful poses and did not hesitate to fix my unruley hair by putting where it would look best for each photo. She had complete calm and grace during the entire session, easily switching between cameras to get the best possible shot. We walked throughout the French Quarter stopping at several beautiful locations for photos and then headed to City Park for photos under the gorgeous Spanish moss draped oak trees. Photos like this have always been a dream of mine and she captured my dream in the most unimaginable way! We honestly have some of the most beautiful engagement photos I have ever seen, they are magazine quality. She is absolutely phenomenal! Lacey made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera - she's not afraid to pose you and give you feedback to make the pictures look extra awesome. We were so nervous about having our pictures taken but after five minutes she had us feeling like professional models. She brings a lot of creativity and suggestions to make your shoots look more editorial and interesting - no cheesy poses or awkward cuddling. We were blown away by both our engagement photos and wedding shots - they look like they belong in a magazine. She's also super sweet and friendly and responsive - she will email you back and communicate in a timely manner. t is worth providing a little background. First, we also hired Lacey to shoot our engagement photos. She immediately put us at ease and we had an absolute blast! After seeing our engagement photos, we knew we had to hire her for our wedding day. Lacey was willing to travel to my hometown in Tennessee (from New Orleans) to shoot our wedding and even took the time on our wedding weekend to get to know our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and families. As you know, your wedding day is an incredibly special day, and it helped knowing that our photographer had invested herself in our background and happiness.
Second, Lacey is incredibly talented. She captured the special moments of our day in ways we couldn’t have imagined. What might have been most impressive about this was the manner in which she did so; we did not even feel her presence. We often look at our pictures and wonder how she managed to capture some of her shots without interfering with those special moments. We would recommend Lacey to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer and we plan on using her again in the future!

She took photos at our house, during our ceremony at the Tree of Life, the dinner after and on top of that she captured all the craziness during out parade down Bourbon St. Lacey showed super hero skills with her ability to take great photos during the parade. Throughout the entire process she had great communication and brought really fun ideas that really showed in our photos. Myself and Virginia would highly recommend Lacey to anyone getting married in New Orleans or even better bring her to where ever your having your wedding because she will travel. Trust me it will be worth it.

having us practice poses that may seem awkward for couples, but come out amazingly well on photos! So for our actual day of our wedding, we were very used to these poses and were able to get super candid and beautiful photos!
The aftercare was also great in terms of pretty quick turnaround and of course, the quality of the photos that really captured our special day!
I would highly recommend working with Lacey - and make sure you practice the poses prior during an engagement photo session prior to your big day!
