Erika is also very professional. When I arrived at my trial she had several hairstyles picked out for me based off what I thought I wanted, pictures of my dress, and vibe of my wedding. As someone who wears their hair the same everyday I was pretty nervous about not loving my wedding hair, but I can wholeheartedly say Erika made me look like a more glam version of myself which is exactly what I wanted. Tara is also extremely talented! She was so easy to work with and listened to what I liked and didn't love during my trial and made adjustments for my wedding day. Myself and my bridal party were very happy with their work. I would highly recommend Lady Luxe Beauty to any brides looking for a dream team for their wedding day!

Prime example of how above and beyond she will go to make sure everyone is looking their best. She is filled with positive energy and is a social butterfly which is an absolute pleasure to be around. I planned my wedding in 6 weeks with no room to schedule a trial. Even without a trial run, I had zero anxiety going into my big day simply based on Erika’s talent and my husband’s first-hand experience of her character. Day of I shared with her a few inspirations, she provided me with some feedback based on my hair type and style of my dress, and then began working her magic. Let me tell you, my hair was perfect. Erika knows how to work with all hair types and is so understanding of everyone’s unique insecurities to create looks that make them feel beautiful. If you’re still searching for a hair stylist for your wedding or any special event look no further! I cannot recommend enough.

r stylists and artists! For hair, I had Korina & Lyndsey. They talked to each girl about what they wanted and everyone's came out beautifully. Korina did my hair and I was so obsessed! Both of them were bubbly and social which made the day even more fun. When I met with her during my trial, I was so torn on what to do. She talked out a few different style options that would pair well with my dress/jewelry/makeup and was able to put the vision I had into reality. For makeup, we had Jazz. She crushed it! Everyone LOVED their makeup. Especially my Mom, who isn't used to getting glammed up, was so in love with how natural but elegant she felt. You are in great hands if you book with Lady Luxe Beauty! :)

y wedding twice due to COVID and she was so accommodating and was able to help reschedule with ease. When I had my hair trial, she helped me so much. Her studio is beautiful and she was so welcoming. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do for a style, and she helped me decide the PERFECT style for my wedding. It matched my whole look and venue perfectly. I received so many complements. I wanted to wear my hair down, but wanted to make sure it was still elegant and fancy enough for a bridal look. It came out exactly how I wanted it. She also was able to get me hair extensions that matched my hair color perfectly. (She even rushed it for me so it would arrive in time for my bachelorette weekend). When I left the trial I felt so great about my choice and I knew I was in the best hands for my wedding day! On my wedding day, Erika arrived promptly and completely transformed the getting ready area in the hotel into what looked like a hair studio. She had all her tools, chair, lighting etc. I had six bridesmaids and they all weren't really sure what hair style they wanted. Erika talked to each one of them to get an idea of what they wanted, and was able to nail the perfect hair styles for all of them. Erika at Lady Luxe Beauty was one of my few vendors I found through The Knot, not a referral. She was by far one of the best vendors I had. Seriously could not have been happier with her services. Not only did they make me feel my best, but my bridesmaids were obsessed with their own looks (my sister-in-law joked that she liked her makeup better than her own wedding). Don't sleep on Lady Luxe Beauty, they're the real deal.

y of work of Lady Luxe Beauty as I did not get to experience it, although from other reviews and the Lady Luxe portfolio the quality of work does not appear to be an issue whatsoever. I originally booked Erika for wedding hair and makeup services for my wedding originally scheduled for 2020 but due to Covid we had to reschedule. Then again in 2021 we decided we needed to downsize extensively, the new date of which Lady Luxe not able to accommodate (I knew it was a shot in the dark considering everyone rescheduling their 2020 weddings so I understood). Erika stated that she would be enforcing her regular cancellation policy due to her having to turn away other brides (understandable) and referencing the Massachusetts governors guidance (even though my wedding was planned to be in RI). I accepted the financial loss and moved on. However, I recently found out that she booked an even larger wedding on my cancelled date even though she pocketed my deposit with her reason being passing up other brides. I reached out to ask if she would reconsider her policy but the only response I received were screenshots of her cancellation policy and a confidentiality clause (which I perceived as an attempt to intimidate me into not telling anyone about my experience ). I understand that the pandemic hit everyone, especially the wedding industry very hard (my fiancé was furloughed for over a year due to it). However, my interactions with Erika left me feeling very disheartened and disappointed, I do not feel she handled this situation in good faith and immediately went into defensive mode rather than finding a solution that worked for both of us. I really wanted to be able to have her services for my wedding as she has a great portfolio, however, after this experience I’m glad it didn’t work out. Make sure you have wedding insurance!

atie & Tasha did an incredible job with my whole group. The airbrush was flawless, the lashes were perfect, and the halo couture extensions I wore were AMAZING. I’ve worn them to other events since, probably the best purchase I made for my wedding day! To say they made me feel the most beautiful I’ve ever felt would be an understatement. All my girls looked so perfect, and the Lady Luxe crew was fun to hang out with while getting ready. I have been in other weddings where the hair/makeup team wasn’t as personable, but this crew truly felt like they were part of my gang! We had a blast and enjoyed every minute of working with them. k beautiful and her whole aesthetic is all about creating the perfect look for your vision. She makes a vision board for you and just goes above and beyond to personalize everything. When I went for my trial I knew that we were going to have fun too. Erika and Tara brought the energy even at 8am on a Sunday! I had never had my makeup professionally done before and wouldn't consider myself very picky so I just went with what Tara was suggesting and was blown away by the results! And then Erika is just a hair magician! I couldn't wait for the day to come, I told my bridesmaids how cool and fun they were. Erika arrived to our hotel and set up her whole professional shelf which looks so awesome and chic. My maid of honor went first and decided on a pony. Erika said "how cool would it be if all of you went with a different version of a pony?" Everyone did and they were all sincerely so happy with the results of their looks! My mom, who has never had professional makeup done and usually does very simple makeup of her own, was a bit nervous about getting it professionally done....she is still talking about how much she loved Tara and how she looked. She was literally glowing, even went for the false lashes and absolutely loved them!! Didn't want to take them off! Overall the most amazing experience ever with them. I truly felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life, and when my now husband saw me at our first look, he was crying saying "I knew you'd look beautiful but I never imagined this. Wow!" If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does! Thank you for making us all feel so beautiful on the best day of my life, and for having so much fun too!!

To top it off- she didn't even hesitate when I asked to put extensions in the pony. My hair was everything I could have ever hoped for. Erika was timely and sooo nice to work with. We all had so much fun! She even stayed after we were done to help put the veil in my hair when I was dressed since I was very concerned I would mess it up (lol). schedule for 10 girls! I shared photos of what I was looking for and they both understood exactly the vision I had and made it happen for me. I couldn't have been happier with the results. The owner Erika was also amazing. She was extremely responsive and always answered any question I had leading up to the big day. I would highly recommend!

r happen months prior to our wedding date. After lots of back and forth, she made it clear that she would not return our deposit and if I wanted to work with her in the new year I would lose my original deposit and could not transfer it to a new date. She stated that I would have to forfeit my original deposit and give a new one to secure a 2021 date. She also shared with me that none of her July and August Brides have canceled/postponed yet. She explained that she had so many brides and the only ones that canceled were due to loss of job or pregnancy. She was not understanding or fair. I asked if I could use my deposit towards her services and she said no. I would understand if Erika had done prep work for my wedding or had a consultation with me but none of that had happened. She also stated, that if I postponed the October date that it meant it was a day where she would be turning away other brides/clients. That was not the case, as we all no the pandemic and restrictions went far beyond October 2020. Her unwillingness to work with me to transfer the money to another service or new date was incredibly disheartening and frustrating. It was not a lot of money... but for me it was the principal. Erika was the only vendor I had worked with that refused to come up with a fair resolution. She even went as far as to say that I was lucky she was waiving the cancelation fee. She claimed that my emails back and forth regarding coming to a resolution was an example of why she was keeping the deposit. Erika claimed that it was administrator fee. She also claimed she worked with me at length which was not true as I only had one brief conversation with her prior to booking her services. It has taken me so long to write this review because every time I think about this interaction, I become very upset and feel taken advantage of. I am sure Erika is talented as her reviews and work speak for itself. I really had hoped that as time passed she would have reached out and done the right thing.

never had to wait for an answer on anything. Even in the midst of moving our date last minute, when I was not at my best and overwhelmed, Erika took it in stride and made everything work for me. Katie was amazing in my hair trial. I had a couple different looks in mind and was very indecisive - she listened to me, but really did exactly what I wanted and was able to give me her opinions and show me what she thought would look best (and boy was she right!). We had 7 people for hair and make-up and everyone finished on time and looked spectacular. I cannot recommend their services enough! You won't be disappointed.

Erika had thoughtful suggestions of what would work best on each bridesmaid and she and Tara knocked it out of the park. Everyone loved them. I ended up getting extensions even though I have long and thick hair so that my curls would stay in any weather and I am so glad I did. Cannot say enough about them and give my highest recommendation.

erfectly all night, despite having done pictures and the ceremony outside. Tara, the makeup artist, was wonderful at making sure my natural, yet glamorous vision was met perfectly. She even did a skin consultation and facials for me, so my skin was great leading up to the big day. Everything was flawless and the fact that they come to you makes it even better. It allowed for a more relaxed wedding morning with all the girls and moms in one place and no rushing around. Overall, Lady Luxe is highly professional - as a former stylist on Newbury, Erika knows the level of service and detail that brides want on their big day. Highly recommend to those who have a specific vision, as well as those who need help along the way.

styles I had found on Pinterest. I had sent her photos of my dress ahead of time and she actually put together a board of styles she thought would look really pretty, too! She was incredibly easy work with and was honest if she thought some styles would look and work better (depending on hair texture, length, and thickness) than others. The style we ended up doing was beautiful, but after a while, I decided I wanted to do something different. This is why the trial was so helpful. The style you do at your trial doesn't necessary have to be your wedding day look. It gives Erika a chance to understand your hair and you the opportunity to really figure out what you want! The day of my wedding Erika was right on time (way more punctual than my actual bridal party lol) and ready to go! She styled all of my maids and then myself. My maids looked gorgeous! She gave all of them the look they wanted - some went with up-dos and some went with their hair down. As a side note, no one looked like they were going to prom - all of the girls had a very elegant, sophisticated look, which is what they wanted. Erika and I had talked about the changes I wanted to make since my trial and she said it was no problem! I went with an up-do and my hair was sooo beautiful! Even my husband commented how much he loved it - and he never notices that stuff. It stayed in place all night through the dancing, hugging, and the Nor'Easter I sadly had to get married in. Erika is extremely perceptive and knows what is going to look best! I couldn't be happier with my experience and I highly recommend her to every bride and bridal party! I wish she could my personal hair stylist!! Thank you again Erika!!!

I don't often wear makeup and Tara took that into consideration and gave me a great natural look that brought out my best assets. On my wedding day, Erika and Tara showed up on time at my hard to find parents house and came bearing gifts (a bottle of champagne and bag filled with beauty goodies that I used at my wedding and on my honeymoon)! All of my bridesmaids and even my non-makeup wearing mother, were very pleased with their looks and received so many compliments on their styles from our wedding guests. Tara and Erika made me look and feel more beautiful than I could have imagined and their super friendly and calm personalities were so welcomed and helpful during a very emotional day. For my hair trial, Erika created a personal vision board based on what I liked/disliked and listened to all of my feedback to make sure it's EXACTLY what I wanted. She also suggested a hair piece during my trial that I ended up wearing at the wedding. I didn't use Lady Luxe for makeup but I'm positive that would have been just as perfect as well!

ing with Erika was easy and efficient. She was very responsive and addressed every question I had including an allergy of someone in my group who was getting makeup done. I got assigned to Mia for hair and makeup and I went for a trial before booking. I was pleased with how quickly Mia understood what I wanted and what I didn't want and the trial turned out great and so I booked her. The day of the wedding turned out even better-- she had looked at what we did at the trial and offered a slight variation on my hair for the day of and I loved it and got a lot of compliments on it. Overall I was extremely pleased with Lady Luxe Beauty and Mia.

Erika likes to do the trial closer to the wedding, which was different, yet amazing!! Not only does she then have a clear memory of the trial hair, she also can see how your hair behaves in the summer humidity (aka late June). They have idea boards that allows for you to upload pictures of yourself (for reference) as well as hair ideas for her to look at. She then takes your ideas and throws in a spin of her own to make it amazing. Day of, they showed up to the inn on time, set up and off they went doing hair and makeup side by side. Rotating through 7 of us and got us done (beautifully) and off for pictures on time! Oh and did I mention, they bring you a goodie bag of emergency supplies with a bottle of champagne. Love them!

My advice is to not be afraid to speak up, you know your face best, and the ladies will be more than accommodating and do a beautiful job. I also got individual fake lashes that couldn't stand up to the strong winds that day, so either bring extra glue or get the full set (no one who got the full lashes had an issue). Finally, I marked down a half-star because of the six-people minimums, which I understand the reason for, but was still a minor inconvenience. Worth it though!

Just some advice-- if you don't like something, say something! Don't be afraid to speak up. I found that one of the members in my group didn't like how her hair was, but didn't say something until the end which cut into another member's time. The girls don't mind fixing whatever you don't like. Just say something! Still 10/10 for me, would recommend them to all my friends that are getting married. Just a positive experience overall and so glad I found them through The Knot!

She gives great advice but doesn’t force her option on you. Erika did hair and Tara did makeup. My hair was perfect and held up really well despite taking some pictures outside when it was sprinkling out. I don’t usually wear much makeup so I was the most apprehensive about that. Tara was awesome-I felt comfortable telling her things I liked/didn’t like and in the end she nailed it. I felt perfect and couldn’t have been happier. They also did hair and makeup for my bridal party, our mothers, and our four nieces. They really talked to each person about what they were looking for and made them look fresh and glowing. They are so lovely to be around. They were there with us getting ready all day so that was really important to me. They kept us on schedule and everything went so well. I couldn’t recommend Lady Luxe Beauty more!

I have long, thick hair so that can be challenging to many hair artists, but Erika was very excited to do a beautiful updo. She offered many professional opinions that helped guide me towards my dream hairstyle. I also worked with Erika to do my blowout for my rehearsal dinner, which also came out stunning! One of my bridesmaids joined and Erika was able to quickly design a twisted, loose braided updo for her that was gorgeous. Erika is a true artist and any brides that are able to work with her are extremely lucky! Thank you for making me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day!

I ended up changing my mind about my hair style after the trial day, so I was a little nervous about how everything would turn out. Erika assured me that we could make it work and that she could tweak things the day-of to make sure everything looked perfect. And she was absolutely right! My hair and makeup were exactly what I pictured and it lasted through a five hour dance party! My friends, mother, and mother-in-law also looked beautiful! Plus, Erika and Tara are so fun and low-key, which helped keep me calm throughout the getting ready process.

adies' styles. Make-up by Tara was fantastic. She really did an amazing job with each girl, playing up their own beauty but not over-doing it. The result was just a bunch of flawless ladies looking naturally beautiful. The hair and make-up help up really well throughout the night, even after some crazy dancing in the middle involving a lot of spins and lifts! I had 10 ladies getting both hair and make-up and with Amanda, the added assistant, everything went according to schedule and everyone was done with time to spare. It allowed me to have a nice relaxing morning with my bridesmaids, hanging out in my suite, and not having to worry about timing, traveling, or parking at some salon downtown. The experience and service was overall fantastic and highly recommended.

The trial at her home was such a fun time. They worked meticulously at making sure everything looked good and was what I wanted. On the day of the wedding, they were punctual and ready to go from the moment they stepped in the door. My bridesmaids keep saying how they felt like they were one of the girls getting ready with us. They were engaged in our conversations and made everyone feel 100 times more relaxed. Many of my bridesmaids weren't used to getting their hair and makeup done so they were a bit nervous about it looking too much. However, this was not the case with Lady Luxe! I was keen on finding a good stylist as my friends in Korea told me about some of their horror stories in the US where they ended up redoing their hair and makeup themselves. Erika came highly recommended by our venue, which hosts multiple weddings, and after seeing her portfolio online, I knew I had nothing to worry about. From Day 1, I knew I made the right decision - Erika knew that I was pressed for time in planning for the wedding and really took ownership in explaining the styling process and trying to come up with a viable styling schedule for me. What I especially loved about her is that she really takes the time to figure out your vision for the wedding and the looks that would complement the wedding. After speaking and exchanging pictures on our wedding vision board, Erika discerned that I wanted a traditional feel for the wedding and that I wanted a natural look for make-up and a gorgeous up-do for my hair. On the day of the wedding, the Lady Luxe team - with Erika doing our hair and Tara our make-up - executed the vision that I had for me and my wedding party exquisitely. I wanted my bridesmaids to choose the hair and make-up they wanted, and the Lady Luxe team executed each style perfectly even when my ladies had wanted such different styles from one another. From the moment you start the process with LLB, you can tell you're in good hands. The questionnaire on the website (which I strongly recommend you do before your trial) is pointed, thorough and really makes you think about what look you're going for on the big day. I didn't know exactly how to describe what I wanted (I'm not very beauty savvy), but Erika has a special talent for understanding exactly what you're trying to say and executing flawlessly. She put together a board with several different styles for my trial and spent a good amount of time discussing which elements from each style she thought might work best, all while listening to and understanding what I wanted. She also graciously lent her substantial wedding wisdom to figuring out what look my bridesmaids should aim for and explaining what kind of timeline we were looking at on the day of the wedding. Fast forward to the wedding day, and everything went off without a hitch!! Erika, who did everyone's hair, and Tara, who did our make up, are a well-oiled machine. I don't think they took a break once. I know the beauty process has a reputation for being the cause of delay, but we actually ran ahead of schedule, and the bridesmaids were waiting around for the groomsmen to finish their photos. And DAY-UM, we all looked good. I don't think I've ever felt that beautiful in my life. And our hair and make up stayed in place all night into the after-party. While all of my vendors were wonderful, I can safely say that choosing Lady Luxe was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process.
