Working with Wanda was fantastic. She was so incredibly helpful throughout the process. I had an idea of a few things I wanted, but nothing concrete. Wanda was easily able to help make suggestions, and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. I received so many compliments on the flowers. I am so happy we chose Wanda at Ladybug Designs to provide us our florals for our wedding. She was recommended by our wedding coordinator after I struggled to find someone who could pull out of me what I wanted in florals that is reasonably priced since I had zero prior knowledge. We met with Wanda on her farm and showed us all of her inventory - not only did we chose her to do our florals but we also rented her stunning wedding arch and all the candles and most decor! She made it so easy to help decorate our large ballroom of a venue. I really appreciated her working with me and making changes through the nine months we planned this as things changed here and there. Wanda is wonderful and her talent shows on the flower arrangements she puts together. We got married on July1st, 2022 and she matched my vibe and inspiration perfectly. From my all white peony bouquet to the grounded ceremonial arch, everything looked perfect. She was so easy to communicate, and always welcomed me at her studio whenever I had questions or if I had to drop off items. I can’t recommend her enough, I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

This review is WAY overdue, but we were lucky enough to use Wanda for both our 2020 wedding ceremony and 2021 reception. The bouquets she made were both the perfect touch of simple green & white, yet classy. Great experience!! Highly recommend.

Wanda was amazing throughout the entire process. First, we loved her proposal. It was easy to read and really captured our inspiration! So that made selecting her as our florist easy! Second, her actual flower arrangements were amazing. Every single aspect. Our ceremony was in front of a fireplace and the floral arrangement and candles she set up on the mantle were my FAVORITE part of the day. Though, it is hard to choose because the candles and centerpieces were also truly amazing. As were the bouquets and boutonnieres - really better than we could have hoped for. We highly recommend Wanda and Ladybug Designs!

She had a prompt delivery of the flowers and stayed for our ceremony to ensure that they were placed in the correct spots for the reception. She was also very consultative. Wanda at Ladybug Designs was hands down the easiest and best decision I had made for our wedding. She was so easy to work with, the prompt reply’s, and even offered to set up our DIY centerpieces! She has the best pricing around, her and her team are a phenomenal group, I highly recommend and hope to work with them again in the future!

My flowers came out beautifully. I got a brides bouquet and a boutenierre for the groom. I had a few photos and ideas of what I liked and it surpassed any vision I had. They are so easy to work with and so kind. I highly recommend them.

We were told about Ladybug designs at the last minute, as we needed a florist to dress a space 20 feet in the air- and the venue said that they would not allow us to be on ladders for liability reasons, etc. We agreed on a plan and price- and she is VERY reasonable. After speaking with many other florists, Ladybug was in my budget for this one small piece of my wedding. One of the things that was upsetting was the details we discussed ahead of time. She assured me she would use warm twinkle lights in the design and gold painted willow branches- what I got was cool lights (so they looked blue and out of place), and tree branches straight out of the yard. I was also upset, as I purchased 100 hurricane candles off of her previous Bride for her to use in the design, and she decided at 4pm THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING that she could not use these (fire hazard)... at this point I could not order more faux candles off amazon- but whatever, we flexibly made it work. Day of her team came in and helped themselves to whatever they wanted- they paid no regard to the boxes specifically marked FLORIST- so there were decorations EVERYWHERE. It was a mess. They also decided to take initiative and dressed the staircase with candles too- which was NOT in our agreement. (We had previously discussed doing greenery there, but it was not in my budget.) What I got was a haphazard mesh of real and fake candles, with no time to fix it. And the worst part- REAL CANDLES on a staircase is SUCH a fire hazard. My dress almost caught fire twice, and my daughter burnt her finger. This would not have happened had they stuck to their plan, and let my coordinator do her job of dressing the stairs with faux candles. All in all, she was great for the price. She did her job. While I feel it wasnt the best work (the holiday wreath she made was a mushed sideways oval before the ceremony began :( ) it was affordable and got the job done. Only myself and my family know what it was supposed to be-and other than the hiccups it caused them in setting up- our guests commented on how it really made the atmosphere. My tips would be to be very clear on the plan and be sure someone is paying attention when they come in and execute it.

Wanda was amazing to work with! She was very responsive and provided excellent advice to stay within my budget. She made my vision come to life with her proposal format which included tons of photos. She clearly had done her research because it even included pictures of our venue and color scheme. She went way above and beyond to accommodate any last minute changes I made. So many people raved about our floral arrangements! I'm honestly so grateful for having her as part of my wedding team.

I cannot express enough praise for Wanda, her team, and the beautiful work she does! I found her through a recommendation from another bride and once I saw her previous work and how she presents your proposal, I knew we had to use her for our wedding day. She is professional, kind, answers emails/calls in a timely manner, and is open minded to any requests you may have. I only had a vague idea of what I was looking for, especially in my bouquet and our arbor, and she created the wedding day florals of my dreams! My bouquet is currently being preserved and I cannot wait to have it on display in our home as a reminder of our gorgeous wedding day! I was in need of a florist so when I took my mom to tour our venue I was in awe of the floral arrangements that were being set up by Ladybug Designs for a wedding that day. It was in that moment I knew what I wanted for my own wedding and I knew Wanda needed to do it- her work was incredible! Throughout the entire process Wanda was so easy to work with and incredibly responsive. On the day of, I can’t even put into words how amazing the floral arrangements looked. They were stunning and exactly what we discussed that I wanted. She truly is talented! As a wedding planner, it is so important to me to find fellow vendors who are talented of course, but beyond that- friendly, nice and can communicate with the client in a way they can understand. Most of my couples are not as familiar with floral terminology and species, and Wanda does a wonderful job speaking and helping guide them through the design process. She is open to suggestions and makes sure the client is getting exactly what they want and goes above and beyond to accommodate all requests. Wanda and her husband are efficient, timely and a pleasure to work with. Her work, as you already can see, is stunning. I absolutely loved working with her and welcome the opportunity to work with her again.

From day 1 Wanda was absolutely amazing to work with. She heard everything I was saying and our flowers turned out even better than I could have imagined! She was easy to work with, super flexible with our needs and very accomodating of our budget expectations. EVERYONE RAVED about our floral arrangements and bouquets!! I wanted a bit of a Spring glam theme and she NAILED it! The bridesmaids bouquets were OUT OF THIS WORLD and everything looked so much more expensive than what we actually paid. She allowed us to rent beautiful silver centerpieces and even added a bit of glam with beaded jewels down the side. If I could give Wanda 10 stars, I would without hesitation! She did a phenomenal job for our wedding at The Meadows. I went to her having no clue about flowers, or even what type I wanted. I gave her our color scheme and told her what we needed and she wrote up a perfectly detailed proposal. The day of the wedding she knocked it our of the water. Our bouquets, centerpieces and everything in between were absolutely gorgeous! I truly can’t get over how beautiful my bouquet was and still is 3 days later. Guests were raving about all of it! Wanda was also extremely responsive to any questions I had along the way as well as easy to work with whenever I decided to make changes, big or small! Absolutely beautiful!! Wanda was an absolute pleasure to work with and with pretty minimal direction from me, made our wedding look like a fairy tale! She responded quickly to all of my emails and her floral proposal was very thorough so I knew exactly what to expect on the day of the wedding. She also helped to make several changes along the way as I changed my mind about some items in the original proposal. I also loved that she was very laid back and easy to work with, she was never pushy but was willing to help with her creativity when I needed it. So thankful I found Ladybug Floral for my wedding!

Wanda is a miracle worker! She took what I was envisioning and she made it come to life, including a Pinterest image that I had found online (no lie- completely SPOT ON). It's been a week since our wedding, and our guests are still raving about the flowers. We cannot believe how gorgeous everything looked!! Not only were her end products gorgeous, but she was so patient, responsive, communicative, and thoughtful along the way. Moreover, she asked us really important questions about things that we hadn't even thought about. For example, during the planning process she warned us to account for wind when thinking about our flowers. Working with Wanda was absolutely amazing! I could not be more pleased or happy with everything Wanda provided, her communication was outstanding from start to finish, her creativity and ideas were so helpful and very much appreciated! When I first saw all the arrangements together in person I was so excited because they came out better than I could have imagined! Even the presentation of how she arranged/placed them in the bridal suite when she delivered them to the venue was gorgeous. Wanda added some lavender to my arrangements which I personally never would have thought of but they looked absolutely amazing in them and I was so happy she suggested it! My guests and the venue employees commented all night and the following day on how lovely the flower arrangements were! Wanda also helped me stay with in my budget, which of course when planning a wedding is very important & it was impressive as well seeing as I had 11 bridesmaids, 13 centerpieces, 2 flower arrangements for wine barrels, 11 boutineers, corsages and my my bridal bouquet, I honestly didn't think it would be possible to stay with in the budget I had in mind but Wanda made it possible. I would very highly recommend Wanda to anyone looking for a florist, my fiance and I were beyond thrilled and impressed with Wanda and everything she provided and really can not say enough great things about our experience with working with her!

Wanda worked with us to stay within a modest budget and all the arrangements looked terrific. We used lanterns and side arrangements which struck the perfect bountiful yet simple tone we were going for. We had no idea what types of flowers would complement our color scheme of mint with a cranberry accent, and Wanda worked magic to make everything just beautiful. My daughter’s wedding was Saturday June 16,2018 in Mystic. Wanda was on site early and helped get the bridal party their bouquets to the preparation hotel adjacent to the venue , which helped keep our photographer on schedule! I highly recommend! I can’t say enough about Wanda ! Working with her was so easy. She was so friendly and accommodating. She delivered all my flowers to my venue. So all I had to do was show up. I told her what I was looking for and our budget. She did beyond AMAZING. Everyone was talking about how beautiful my centerpieces and bouquets looked. It’s a couple days after my wedding and I’m still crying about how perfect everything was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LADYBUG DESIGNS. Higher than highly recommend ladybug designs! Wanda very talented. Wanda listens to everything you want and makes it happen. She is an artist. I spoke to a gazzilion florists before hiring her. No one could stretch my flower budget as wide as she did. No one was as talented as she was. I wanted organic/wild looking arrangments. I had a very specific color pallet. She asked for “inspiration” pictures and immediately understood what I wanted. Alsooo.. I was VERY streesed before the wedding. I asked my mom to be the main contact for Wonda. Wonda met with my mom at her farm and chatting about so many different ideas. In the day of the wedding, Wonda was one of the first vendors to arrive at the venue! She was so organized and delivered hair flower pieces directly to the hotel so our hairdressers could do our hair. AND the Flowers!!! The arrangements were gorgeous! A lot of my girl friends got married in the last year, are in engaged or are event planners, and they ALL complimented the flowers separately. And asides from the compliments that we received, WE loved the flowers. I’m SO picky about flowers. And they were SO perfect! We feel so lucky. Thank you, Wonda!!! It was great to meet you on the day of the wedding!! I wish we had more time to talk. You are wondeful! :)

So, SO happy my husband and I found Ladybug Designs! Finding a florist was one thing I dragged my feet doing, because whenever I found someone I loved the prices overwhelmed me. But, Wanda made it happen. She was very respectful of my budget, was timely writing back to me, and humored me when I was indecisive about colors and sent her picture after picture of bouquets that looked nothing alike. In the end, she did such a wonderful job, making our bouquets just the perfect amount of "wild" and the tables and mantles so romantic. When I arrived at our reception and saw Wanda's greens and flowers all over the mansion at Harkness, I was blown away. It was the exact aesthetics (and then some) that I was looking for. Not to mention she's really just a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her!

When I first started looking for florists, I was turned off by how competitive the first several people I spoke to were for our business. When my mom found Wanda of Ladybug designs, it was like breath of fresh air. Wanda grows many of her own flowers on her farm in Stonington, and was very easy and pleasant to work with. She made all the minute decisions about centerpieces, my bouquet, the girls bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, ceremony flowers, cocktail hour flowers, entrance and accessory table flowers (more details and decisions than I ever really appreciated before!) easy and seamless. She was willing to work with us to keep our total budget low by letting us bring in our own centerpiece bases, and threw in some last minute boutonnieres I had forgotten to ask for with no hassle at all. She is a professional who does a beautiful job without drama or fuss, and is a great person who also gives back to her community. She was 100% the right florist for us :).

The flowers at our wedding at Mystic Aquarium looked fantastic, thanks to Wanda and her husband. I met with Wanda several months before our wedding. She had asked me to provide her with examples of the types of bouquet styles and colors I had in mind. I'm not a big flower person, and have terrible allergies, and she made it as easy as possible for me to navigate the different flowers, styles, colors, etc. She was conscious of our budget, and even had the idea that we could use the bridesmaids' bouquets as the table centerpieces. This was brilliant: it saved the girls from having to figure out what to do with the bouquets during the reception, and it really helped keep costs down. Most people didn't even realize the centerpieces were the bouquets, and those who did said they wished they would have thought of that for their own weddings! Wanda's husband dropped off the bouquets and boutineers to our hotel the morning of the wedding. They had everything set up in boxes and vases, and even brought over plastic bags to cover the flowers in (it was below freezing outside). He even had rubber bands for us to put around the bouquets to make sure they went into the vases at the reception. When we arrived to the venue that night, Wanda and her husband were already there setting up the rest of the flower clusters on the tables. They looked stunning!! Even now, three days later, my bouquet still looks beautiful in a vase at home. We received so many compliments on how gorgeous the flowers were, and would highly recommend Wanda and Ladybug Designs for wedding flowers.

Ladybug Designs did an amazing job on my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets, the corsages/boutonnières, and a cake topper of red roses. Everything came out exactly as I described it to her and was on time. Flower quality was excellent!

I was an out of state bride (Los Angeles) and found Ladybug Designs online. We were able to conduct all business via phone and e-mail. I had 3 different centerpiece designs, toss bouquet, 8 bridesmaids bouquets, and then my bouquet...Wanda was amazing and my bouquet was absolutely perfectly stunning.
