I could not be more thankful to have had Jake as our wedding videographer! With a crazy COVID wedding and so many unknowns, Jake was amazing throughout the entire process. He set up zooms since we were not able to meet so that he was able too get a feel of what was important to us in our video and get to know us as a couple. My husband and I are certainly no experts in front of the camera, but Jake made everything so easy! The whole process felt so natural and most of the time I didn't even know he was there capturing all of our special moments. Jake went above and beyond to get all of the best footage to capture our day and honestly he was just fun to be around!

Overall, we were very happy with LaFave Cinema as a vendor. Jake was very responsive, helpful, and eager to please. We had some particular requests, all of which Jake respectfully worked with. We hired Jake to film our ceremony documentary-style. He captured not only the exact content we had in mind, but even extra parts of our day and beautiful shots of our venue. He did so with a warm, positive, and professional attitude. He is very collaborative, he asks a lot of supportive questions, and really got us to a place where we could envision what we wanted together. We felt so lucky to have met him and safe to have our wedding video in his hands. We will definitely be recommending his work to our friends!

We had the pleasure of working with Jake for our wedding in July. Having a videographer was incredibly important to us and Jake was the absolute right choice! He was energetic, easy to work with, and spent time getting to know us as a couple ahead of time through numerous appointments and emails. Jake captured all of our favorite moments beautifully and summarized the wedding in a short video that we can look back on often. It truly reflected our day so well and it was clear that what we wanted and valued as a couple was incorporated. He was also happy to share back up footage after the wedding that didn’t make it into the highlight reel. We highly recommend Jake and LaFave for any wedding or special event!!

Jake was a pleasure to work with. He met with us before the wedding the determine priorities for our wedding highlight video and for the full length film, and the final product was exactly what we wanted. He was professional and his filming was seamless and not a distraction throughout our wedding day. He was able to capture our most wonderful and important moments of the day, and condense them down into a wonderful highlight film as well as full-length film capturing our ceremony, dances, and speeches. Having Jake as our wedding videographer was an absolute blessing. The moment we met Jake, we knew he was a quality person. You could tell from his demeanor, professionalism, politeness... he’s the exact person you want to capture your day. He’s the guy you’d trust to capture even the most intimate of moments. He was respectful, calming, and helpful beyond belief. He’s humble and he’s personable. We legitimately mean it when we say we could not have asked for a better match. And while the final product is what people would admit counts the most, often times it’s the interaction and genuine enjoyment of working with someone to capture something beautiful, that gets overlooked. We would consider the ideal artist to be one who is able to perfect the art of both. While his works speaks for itself, we would speak volumes about his character. He was present for us to ask questions to, or to help hold our belongings during pictures, and was invisible for everything else. He treated our guests with respect, had a smile on his face the entire day, and dressed in a very presentable manner. It takes a special type of person to capture moments in such a beautiful and timeless manner, to be enjoyed for decades to come. And yet it took only a few minutes of conversation to realize that we would recommend Jake to work with our closest friends and family. Lastly, the final product. Without us even requesting, he created a trailer of our day – the same as you’d see with a new movie release. He used footage of us getting ready and taking pictures prior to the ceremony for the trailer, and then utilized footage of the reception for the rest – how clever! His dedication to his craft is reflected in his work, as you notice all the little subtle setups and timing of scene transitions. He even used the songs from our wedding that we sent him as the soundtrack to the wedding video itself. We will treasure that video for the rest of our lives, and we simply cannot thank him enough for everything. The build-up to the wedding is stressful enough - we highly recommend you go with Jake and not have to worry about this aspect of your planning at all! Andrew & Dana

Jake was AMAZING!! Such a pleasure to work with. I cannot speak more highly about his professionalism, easy-going & kind personality, and of course: his talent. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera...so much so that you forget he’s even there (which makes for amazing & natural footage!). We met Jake as a young videographer, just starting his business. Our highlight video & full footage video are beyond all of my expectations!! Honestly. They look like the $$$$$ video packages you see online. Trust me when I say that he is the real deal and will have a very long & successful career!
