Loved this vendor!
We were so happy with our choice of Lafayette for our wedding venue! The Cave du Vin is so classically beautiful with the wine cellar, candles everywhere, brick walls. It was perfect and everything we wanted. We had a 92 person wedding here with DJ and the space was wonderful. I was worried that it would feel too crowded but not at all! It felt very intimate and like a large dinner party with all of our favorite friends and family, which is exactly we wanted. The food was EXCELLENT, which was also our top priority. All of our guests told me that it was the best dinner they had ever had at a wedding! Geoff was a wonderful events coordinator and kept me calm and collected by answering all of my questions leading up to the big day. If you are looking for a beautiful NYC classic wedding atmosphere with superb food, then this is the place!!
Simply amazing! We had our 107-person wedding here this past weekend, and it was so beautifully done and such a blast! The room (Cave du Vin) is so romantic and cozy, but we still had plenty of room for a 7-person, full band and dance floor in front of the bar (which guests TORE up). The smaller scale dance floor right next to the bar makes it feel more like a phenomenal party in a wine cellar, than your standard, boring wedding. The food is awesome, and there was not a guest who did not say that it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had. Everything is family style, which allows people to eat everything that they want (rather than your standard wedding selection), and eat as much as they want. The staff is impeccable and the events coordinator, Geoff, is just so great to deal with. Having our wedding at Lafayette alleviated so much stress, as we didn't have to worry about furniture, silverware, waitstaff and amazing food, as it was all included. This is truly an awesome space for a smaller-scale wedding or party for under 110 guests.
Lafayette was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Our top priority when planning was great food. And Lafayette delivered! Our guests haven’t stopped raving about it. Their sommelier worked with us to choose a wine list. Everything paired perfectly. The bartenders mixed really excellent cocktails. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The event manager Geoff was particularly great. He was responsive and organized, and gave great recommendations. The Cave du Vin is a beautiful space. They filled it with candles and the effect was truly romantic. We were aiming for an elegant dinner party vibe for about 100 guests and Lafayette met and exceeded our expectations.
We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was an absolutely wonderful space for the event. We used their private room downstairs (Cave du Vin) and it was perfect for our 60 guests (although I believe they can seat up to 85). It's a wonderful space that has a French vibe and feels like a romantic wine cellar. They filled it with votives with gave it a romantic feel as well. The food was absolutely delicious and the service very good. They also provided us with a sound system and microphone for toasts. Overall it's a fantastic space for a rehearsal dinner and I'm so glad we had it there!
