Stefanie was an amazing venue coordinator throughout the whole process. She answered the many questions I had leading up to the day and made sure all the vendors were where they needed to be.
They didn't have a bunch of hidden fees and the pricing felt reasonable compared to other venues and has the bar package included. Great value IMO. I also loved that we had basically all of Friday to set up the venue for Saturday.
If you're in Cleveland and interested in the industrial vibe, make sure you check Lake Affect Studios out.

open. Stefanie was so helpful with answering any questions I had and made the whole process so easy. The space allowed me to set up a day before which was so nice. It was the perfect space for my 140 guests for both the ceremony and reception. The outside courtyard was so cute and the dance floor was big enough for all my guests. The space allowed for me to really decorate how I wanted it. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Such an incredible time made possible by Stefanie, Amanda and the rest of the lake affect staff.

be decked out or be beautiful if you want to go minimum with the decorations. There are a ton of plugs all throughout and it comes with uplighting that is adjustable to get the mood you want. Stefanie was the best to work with. She was responsive and helpful throughout our entire planning process. She made sure that everything was ready to go day of and helpful with some last minute logistical changes. The bar staff were also AWESOME!! They were all so kind and helpful day of. The bar was always busy, but there was never a line. It also is in the best location, 7 minutes from our hotel downtown and 7 minutes from the Art Museum where we did photos. There is limited parking, but Stefanie was able to help us request a permit for additional street parking and CSU allowed guests to park in their lot for less than a valet. From the time we booked to the time of our actual wedding Lake Affect had done a lot of upgrades that made the space even nicer!! They also have a beautiful outdoor area with seating and a bar which would be perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour.

Stefanie Chips the venue coordinator was extremely helpful from the very beginning until the very end and even after the end when our hot messes forgot some things there. She made the day so special to us. She was literally my angel the day of the wedding! The beauty in this place is amazing and can fit whatever theme you want to portray for your day! Also the natural light in the place is breathtaking. The bartending staff was perfect and fast with our family and friends! I couldn’t recommend this venue more to people!!! We utilized both areas available for the ceremony and reception to cut down travel time, which was a big deal for us. It really is like a blank canvas where you can do what you want with the space!
Throughout the entire process, Stefanie was helpful with our planning, rehearsal, and visualizing our big day.

Unfortunately, due to the circumstances caused by COVID, we made the difficult decision to cancel our reception and do something much smaller with immediate family. Stephanie was so understanding and supportive of our new plans. We are really bummed we will not be spending our big day with Lake Affect, but we are so appreciative of the amazing service we encountered with them. ing or downsizing or cancelling (we ended up downsizing to about 40 people), the team at Lake Affect was so understanding and accommodating and did not pressure us one bit. HUGE thanks to Stefanie, who was a joy to work with throughout the experience.
Pandemic aside, the venue is gorgeous and really fit the cool downtown Cleveland vibe I wanted. The décor options are very flexible, and we had so much time the day before our wedding to set up and get everything just right. The courtyard space is adorable and a fun bonus space for cocktail hour or just mingling about. Lake Affect supported all our crazy ideas, from a bagpiper in the courtyard to bringing in a life-size fiberglass rhino.

Having the option to come into the space on Friday to set everything up made life way less stressful. There was plenty of time to set up (10AM-5PM) and Stef was there to answer any questions. Also there is the option to clean up on the Sunday after for an additional cost which was great when we just wanted to leave at the end of the reception. They also have plenty of bar packages to choose from and have a great bar for your guests to gather around. (It's super close to the dance floor too!)
Overall I cannot say enough good things about Lake Affect Studios- the staff, the space itself (it's BEAUTIFUL), the cute courtyard outside ... everything was dreamy and I would pick Lake Affect Studios again & again!

nd phone calls quickly and always answered our questions. We had many opportunities to come back to see the space as we were planning. We wanted a loft feel close to downtown so Lake Affect was perfect. I was able to DIY a lot of the decor and felt like it reflected our personalities. We were able to come in from 10-5 the Friday before our wedding to decorate and set up. We really love the super long bar top they have. All alcohol was done through them and they had several different packages with a lot of variety and add ons that we felt were reasonably priced compared to other venues. There is also a separate "suite" where the wedding party was able to hang out before being introduced. I was a little worried that it would be warm because our wedding was in late June but the space is air conditioned and it didn't feel too warm at all. Overall it was an excellent experience, we had the MOST FUN, and we would definitely recommend holding your wedding reception or other event there! Thanks Lake Affect, hope to be back soon!

ill say that the place is perfect for the DIY type - a polished industrial feel that was made so incredibly beautiful with even just some string lights and flowers. Amanda and Dan were so hospitable and laid back which really made me feel more at ease, especially on the day of. Most of our guests were from out of town, so it was really fun bringing them all to a place like this to celebrate. Highly recommend working with them.

The only downside was the sometimes slow response time. I would definitely recommend the space to anyone who has an imagination or wants a unique venue.
