While home for the holidays last winter, we were watching the local news and saw that the Georgia Department of Natural Resources was shutting down most of the resort’s facilities due to structural flaws making them unsafe.
Again, I had to hear this not from the venue, when they clearly knew something was going on, but from the local news. Communication about this was very poor, and four months before the wedding, we had to change the reception venue and all that that entails. Very frustrating, and shame on the management for letting the state of their “resort villas” for getting to such a poor state. Skimping out on something like that really shows where their priorities are.
It’s really a lovely venue, but unless this spurred a change in the resort’s management, be cautious.

othered with any last minute things, they handled it! The food was AMAZING and because they handled that end of things we didn't have to worry about looking for an outside service! They had a lot of options to choose from and the food quality was GREAT!
