tor Angela were attentive and helpful. Zanny and the bar staff were just as warm and attentive, and went above and beyond in making our day special. The food was just as amazing as the drinks. We loved the fact that our friends and family could stay on site, and took full advantage of that. We were able to share a weekend of laughs and love, with our friends, family, and the wonderful folks at the Lodge. We would change nothing about our day. The staff made us feel like family, not like another event they had to get through. If I could rate our overall experience as a 10/5 stars, I would.

Right from the get go, our coordinator Angela was so incredibly helpful with answering questions and keeping up with countless emails back and forth in the months leading up to the wedding. Angela was kind, knowledgeable, flexible, attentive, and transparent. She was seriously a lifesaver for me in moments of minor bridal panic! Our wedding weekend was BEYOND what we could have imagined. Our guests were comfortable and many have shared how impressed they were with the event. We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner onsite on the second floor of the taproom. Guests then transitioned downstairs for a casual welcome party, later hanging at the fire pit by the lake. My bridal party and I stayed in the Birch cottage the night before the wedding (husband stayed at Maple cottage). Birch was PERFECT for our group of girls and had plenty of space for the stylists who came the next morning. Angela was onsite helping with ceremony/reception setup and came by to check in with me several times on the day of. The weather was overcast and raining on/off - Angela was great at keeping me updated right up until the ceremony to communicate backup options. We were still able to have our ceremony lakeside, but moved it under the tent… still stunning! Cocktail hour easily transitioned to the taproom. Despite the weather, we couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate with our loved ones. The staff were all incredible, shuttling us around the property on golf carts and keeping me hidden/dry from the groom before I walked down the aisle! Great food, drinks, epic dance party. We opted out of the catered after party and held our own at the cottage, but the venue has so many options and flexibility to keep the party going! We can’t say enough good things about our experience. Thank you so much 🙂

ing weekend, Lake Bomoseen and the staff were fantastic. The entire staff knew who we were and each staff member wanted to make sure we were doing well. It was wonderful. The ceremony was on a weekend in October. The views were breath taking. We were able to use the hillside for the ceremony, the lakeside for the rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour, and the lodge for the reception. IT WAS ALL PERFECT! We got to see the mountains in the area, the beautiful lake, and be in the wonderful Lodge area. Because of Rebecca and the wonderful staff, there was ZERO stress on the wedding weekend. Any thing we needed, Lake Bomoseen provided for us. Even things that we did not think we needed! Everything was beautiful. The rooms that the wedding party stayed in were all perfect. The fire pits on the property were amazing and the fall foliage was breath taking. Everywhere we went at Lake Bomoseen was amazing. The added bonus was that we were able to take our puppies with us. They made perfect wedding party members. There are not enough good things to say about Lake Bomoseen Lodge and Taproom. If I could offer any advice, don't walk there, RUN and have your wedding here. You will not be disappointed.

years leading up to the wedding she answered every email with advice and managed to organize all of our requests - we never had to repeat ourselves or ask any questions twice. From our tiki boat ride, to our welcome party and on our wedding day, Angela kept everything on schedule and created a seamless experience for us and our guests. She allowed us to customize so many aspects of our day and made everything feel so effortless and easy. If the views don’t impress you enough, she will. Angela is a rockstar. In addition to Angela, every employee at the lodge deserves their own shout out (e.g. bartenders, maintenance crew who helped set up our own arbor, servers, gator drivers, etc). Every staff member was kind, caring and kept everything going smoothly. Our guests raved about how much fun they had at LBL and how impressed they were with the staff, and how delicious the food and drinks were. The leaves changing all around the property in autumn were perfection. Having on site accommodations made it easier for the wedding party and guests to hang around all weekend. We couldn’t have had a better experience for our wedding weekend - do yourself a favor and book with the lodge!!!!

the venue with her, to our menu tasting, to answering my many email questions, helping accommodate a last-minute hiccup in our plans, and throughout our entire rehearsal and wedding day, she was by our side and was truly irreplaceable. Lake Bomoseen Lodge has thought of everything. A beautiful outdoor ceremony site (of which there are multiple options to choose from), a phenomenal cocktail hour, rustic reception space, fantastic catering/bartending, and late-night pizzas in the taproom. Not to mention there’s on site lodging which made getting ready in the morning and keeping the party going the night of a breeze. The food was great, the customer service over the two years of planning was impeccable, and even the invoicing and payments were beyond easy. The Bomoseen team went above and beyond to let us tailor the day to our exact vision, and the ease of having everything all in one place was a dream. Again, Angela was the reason everything went off without a hitch. And a special shoutout to the lead bartender who worked our event- she was funny, kind, and made us feel like royalty on our wedding day. Our guests still can’t stop raving almost a month later about what an amazing team and venue it was. I would plan another event here in a heartbeat, and we can’t wait to come back and stay on the property again soon.

Angela answered our many emails and questions quickly and with thoughtful responses, gave us recommendations while sharing her expertise, and truly made our vision come to life. Angela’s organization and calming personality helped everything run smoothly on our wedding day and allowed us to relax and take in the moment. We truly couldn’t have planned our wedding without her! Lake Bomoseen Lodge had everything we wanted in a venue. On site catering, an outdoor lakeside ceremony location, rustic reception space, and most importantly on site lodging for our guests! Our guests loved staying at the venue and we enjoyed having a whole weekend together to celebrate! My family rented the birch cottage for the weekend which allowed us to have a welcome party the night before our wedding, a place for the bridal party to get ready the day of, and a location for a brunch the day after to properly say goodbye to our guests. Our guests kept asking where we found such a beautiful location! Everyone enjoyed the delicious reception food, pizzas from the taproom the night before, our bartender Zanny (who was so sweet and fun), the delicious speciality drinks, and most of all the ability to stay at the lodge the entire weekend! We truly can’t say enough great things about Lake Bomoseen Lodge! We can’t wait to come back and visit!

lodge as our venue we were living in New Mexico and we were worried it would be difficult to plan a wedding so far away. We were quickly in contact with the lodge's amazing event coordinator, Rebecca Field. Rebecca continued with a constant line of communication throughout the whole process of planning our wedding, always speedy when answering our questions. Rebecca was able to help us plan details we hadn't even considered and she made wedding planning an absolute breeze! From vendor recommendations to helping provide decor suggestions and plan our wedding day schedule, she had an answer to any question we could come up with. On the actual wedding day we were planning to have our wedding ceremony on the hillside site but that morning there were rain storms. Rebecca asked us what we wanted to do and provided several options for the ceremony (inside, tent, or continue with the hillside) and we were very thankful we had those options. Throughout the craziness Rebecca and all the staff were calm and cool, ready to accommodate our requests any way they could! The team did an absolutely wonderful job pivoting plans quickly and efficiently. We ended up continuing with the hillside ceremony where we were blessed with clear skies. Rebecca and the staff helped provide both a wonderful ceremony and reception that our guests raved about (and still do). The food, among countless other things, was amazing! The team aimed at making our day as stress free as possible, we are truly grateful we were able to relax and enjoy every minute of our big day. but the food was not good. The chicken was very dry and the steak was either undercooked or overcooked. When we left, we were under the impression that we had paid them our balance. A few weeks later, they told us we owed another $1400, after we had given them well over $20,000. When we contested it, they used our prior financial information and took the money from our account without authorization from us, so they essentially stole from us. I would tread very carefully with them, because they obviously have very shady business practices.

start time a huge storm rolled in pushing our ceremony inside. Rebecca and the folks at the lodge worked quickly and did a tremendous job relocating/setting up our ceremony inside. Having Pine Cottage for the weekend was a huge perk, it was so nice being able to have all our wedding party under 1 roof for the weekend. The food for the rehearsal dinner and reception was phenomenal. Being able to completely customize our menu was great. The only con to lake bomoseen lodge was there is not much lodging onsite, so some of our guest had to stay off site. We got our remaining guest a room block at a hotel in rutland. Service is very scarce and uber was not an option so we provided a shuttle service to and from the hotel block to the lodge.

e than that. The food is impeccable (I've been in the service industry for 10 years). The staff felt more like family and friends who were helping with our wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about the friendliness of the staff and the taste and portions of food. In terms of the planning, Rebecca was beyond amazing. Not only does she come with the cost of booking the lodge, she is a total pro. She thought of so many things we didn't think of. We opted to not hire a day of coordinator because she was so good at what she does. Although Rebecca and her team technically work for the lodge, they really are working for you. She went above and beyond to make our entire vision come true. She made really important suggestions and kept us on track. She handled any changes with grace and was always there to support us. On the day of our wedding it rained and we had to move the ceremony inside. The ceremony was still gorgeous and Rebecca and her team turned the room during cocktail hour to be absolutely perfect. I would recommend this venue to anybody and hope that we get to return for another wedding! We have already booked another trip back to the lodge for this summer.

I loved that they had so many separate spaces for cocktail hour, ceremony, reception, and just exploring between events. Another great thing about Lake Bomoseen is that they do catering in house and their food is TO DIE FOR! Our guests were ravening about how delicious everything was. We were also very impressed with how they handled allergies; we had a number of guests with gluten and/or dairy allergies and they worked with us and each guest to ensure that they had delicious, safe meals. They also have two amazing site coordinators who we couldn’t recommend more. We worked with Angela and she made everything such a dream. She worked with us ahead of the day answering any question we had to throw at her and giving us recommendations for vendors when we were trying to narrow things down. On the day of, she seemed to be everywhere putting together tables, bringing lunch to our getting ready room, and helping to cart guests around the property. We really can’t say enough good things about this venue and particularly about Angela!

Every single person who was at the Lodge during my wedding weekend made me feel like my event was the most important thing going on at the moment, and went well above and beyond expectations. Rebecca, my event coordinator, handled every single behind-the-scenes detail for me in such an efficient manner. This was a destination wedding for us, so I was a little nervous planning a wedding from so far away, but Rebecca made it the easiest process in the world. She made sure to stay in contact with me throughout the planning process and answered my seemingly never-ending questions with thoughtful responses. During the wedding weekend, she made sure we could move our ceremony inside last minute due to rain, and made the reception space look better than I could have ever imagined. The food and cocktails were also very delicious! In addition to the wedding, we did pizzas from the taproom the night before and brunch there the day after and everyone complimented the food. I really can't say enough nice things about the place!

Cocktail hour featured some of the best apps around. Their wait staff and bartenders are awesome and so friendly. Everyone honestly deserves a raise!! And what’s better than your guests staying on site? The lodging is affordable and updated, so everyone was comfortable all weekend. I cannot sing Lake Bomoseen’s praises enough. It was the best wedding decision we made (besides getting married, of course)!

e event coordinator is amazing at her job. She’s organized, she’s a great communicator, and she made our entire experience stress free. We also stayed here for 2 nights and the rooms are so cute. The amount of rooms provided here and the different options such as a room, condo etc. make this venue great for destination wedding. Everything you need is at 1 location, if that’s what your looking for the lodge has it. On top of the great rooms, views of the lake are to die for. They have multiple options for ceremony locations all with amazing views of the lake. They also have options such as kayaking, boating, and renting the tiki boat on the lake if your looking for something to do, or for your guests to do. Last, the food here is delicious. They have plenty of options to choose from not only for dinner at the reception but cocktail hour and even rehearsal dinner which we did at the lodge as well. Extremely accommodating for people with food allergies/restrictions. Overall, this place exceeded any expectations and truly made my husband and I and our families feel extremely welcomed on a very important day of our lives.

The Bomoseen coordinators you are paired with are some of the kindness, most professional, and knowledgeable people in the service industry I have met (in fact all the staff was). The tastings they host are super fun, their vendors lists are extremely helpful, and again those coordinators really keep you sane through everything. Wedding planning is emotional and stressful, but this venue did everything in their power to make it as easy as possible. I could write a novel if I wanted, but I think you need to go to the venue yourself and see just how great it is, because it really is a gem.

We got many compliments from guests saying "Best wedding I've ever been to!" and we owe many thanks to LBL for making our special day even better than we could imagine. If you are thinking about Lake Bomoseen Lodge for your wedding day definitely take a tour! We can't wait to be back.

ng on Friday! Otherwise we would have gotten in at 9:00 am to get a table decorated so the coordinator and staff could finish! Got to our church for rehearsal for 4:00! Back to the 2nd floor rehearsal dinner for 6-8! Decorated by the parents and friends of the groom. Moved in to the lawn/lake frontage for a fire pit/games/hotdogs and s’mores. Had a keg and wine BYOB supplied by us! Maybe 70 ppl 8-10 Our own speakers with selected music ending curfew for 10:00. We rented the Birch Cottage for Brides parents/sister and bride and a air mattress upstairs in a private nook and our niece in on a double very comfortable futon! Very nice for coffee and toasted bagels in the morning, plus the office is super nice for breakfast goodies! Their were 9 of us ladies having makeup and hair done as well as Dad and a boyfriend hangin out on the front porch….walking the dog and time to drive into Rutland for a 12 passenger van to transport us to the church and back! All went so well! Photographers showed up and the florist for all the fixins! Delighted to have great weather for a under the tent cocktail hour and half. Out of this world appetizers and signature drinks!! 3 large tables with 3 tall cocktail tables! Beautiful view of the lake and lawn area. Awaited the pontoon boat to return with our newlyweds for pictures with families on the lawn and to take it all in! Older guests escorted to the main lodge reception venue and then other guests to follow. Carts/drivers available if needed to cross the road to the venue! Reception venue is in a beautiful classy rustic room/hall with 3 rod iron chandeliers with perfect amount of lighting! Staff very accommodating and helpful with calm demeanors and easy going efficient serving and clean up! Everything flowed! Our coordinator was very supportive and complemented a well organized event! Much appreciated! Many moving parts!! The food was superb! Everyone loved their meal, the venue, the service and their stay at Bomoseen. We were very happy with most everything! The little things we took care of and a few other things we asked for help. We got help! This venue offers so much if you want it! We danced til 11:00 and had an after party til 1:30 am with pizza! It’s a party that lasted! 🤍
