fect. From the moment we arrived on Friday afternoon, our incredible coordinator, Rebecca, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was flawless. We kicked off the celebration with a welcome event featuring champagne and delicious bites, and Saturday—the big day—was nothing short of magical. Rebecca was by our side from the moment we pulled in, ensuring everything ran seamlessly and that both our guests and wedding party felt cared for and celebrated. We didn’t have to lift a finger. The team set up our entire reception exactly as envisioned, simply using photos and instructions, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the amazing service. The food and drinks were phenomenal, and the atmosphere—set against the backdrop of the lake—was truly unforgettable. My husband and I stayed an extra night after the wedding to soak it all in, stargazing by the lake and savoring every last moment. I’ll admit I shed a tear as we passed the Lake Bomoseen Lodge sign one final time. Over the course of 1.5 years of planning, Rebecca was a constant source of support—always kind, organized, and generous with her time. Even across the ocean, she offered Zoom calls from Vermont to Germany and brought a calming presence to the entire process. We miss chatting with her regularly and can’t wait to return for anniversaries in the years to come.

From our rehearsal to our first look, the coordinated aisle walk, cocktail hour, and reception, to our breakfast the following morning, every single detail was nailed down. Everything flowed perfectly and we never had to worry about a thing. We got married on the hillside overlooking the lake, and the team went above and beyond to make everything seamless. We noticed the staff were carting guests up and down the hill in side-by-sides (something we didn’t even know would happen). They truly think of everything and it's a such a well-oiled machine! The venue itself feels like a refined, upscale summer camp where everyone can stay on-site, which made it feel so special and intimate. The guest rooms are updated and beautiful, the lake is gorgeous, and the atmosphere is magical. The morning after our wedding all our guests got up and jumped in the lake. Our guests being onsite made it feel so intimate, and meant we actually got to spend time with everyone. The food is incredible and the staff is so accommodating. Whether it was dietary preferences or special requests, they handled everything flawlessly. Every person raved about the food - the reception dinner, the rehearsal dinner, the breakfast the next morning, and the apples... everything was great! We honestly felt sad when our wedding weekend ended and we had to leave. If you want a venue that’s warm, professional, and feels like family the moment you arrive, this is it. It by far was the best decision we made! Huge shout out to Rebecca who is honestly the world's best coordinator and made this process not just easy, but enjoyable. Thank you for everything! was our coordinator and was extremely helpful from the moment we booked until the day. She kept everything organized, on time, and made it stress free and simple for us. And the resort was gorgeous! The entire staff was so kind and helpful at all points, it really made it that much easier. It was great having the taphouse on site as well both for our welcome dinner and for everyone to grab drinks and food in between events. The food was phenomenal too! Truly cannot say enough good things about this venue. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding.

). We initially fell in love with the gorgeous views and ability to accommodate so many of our guests onsite, but over the past two years, LBL has taken up a special place in our hearts. Our wedding coordinator Rebecca was with us every step of the way, from answering our random 'details' emails to chatting it up at the tasting, even to fluffing our dresses before our walk down the aisle. She made the entire wedding planning process feel like a breeze, and we are so bummed that our time working with her is over! The entire staff and crew during our wedding weekend- Xani, Hannah, Evan, just to name a few!- were just the kindest people, and genuinely seemed excited for us and wanted the day to go smoothly for us. LBL was all about the little details- from handing us celebratory glasses of champagne after our ceremony to writing an adorable sign for our tiki boat ride (and yes, they have a freaking TIKI BOAT that you can book!!). They went out of their way to make us feel special, even when they were fully booked with weddings the day before and after us. But don't you worry- they have all the big stuff covered, too! Room blocks, rehearsal dinner, setting up decor, transitions between the hillside and cocktail hour and reception; all of it went off without a hitch! And the FOOD!!! Y'all, the food cannot be understated. Everything was truly so delicious; on our recommendation, we had about 50 guests order prime rib and all of them were so impressed/said it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had. The bacon-wrapped scallops at cocktail hour, the signature cocktails, and the after party nachos, are all legendary right now in our group chats. Stepping back again, we cannot say enough how well taken care of we were by the LBL crew. As a lesbian couple, we toured several other venues that made us feel uncomfortable, or that we didn't feel would fully celebrate us. LBL never once made us feel that way, and truly gave us the best bridal experience we could have. Both of our families stayed the full week and we are all already thinking of booking again next year just for a family vacation! The rooms/options (especially pet-friendly ones), amenities (pool, lake, kayaks, etc.), and price fit our needs perfectly. After the wedding, the word that all of us used to describe it was "magical." We had a truly magical wedding weekend, and it was all thanks to LBL! If you are looking for a venue that won't treat you like a number, somewhere that provides stunning onsite lodging and the most incredible food, gorgeous ceremony and reception locations, and the best staff in the world, look no further than Lake Bomoseen Lodge! Outdoor sites on the island, on the hill overlooking the lake and lakeside on the grass; tented options outside or all inside options if you prefer. The staff were wonderful and taking extra care in making your day special. Guests were picked up and transported on site by side by sides, making transitions smooth ( although it is all walkable and close). Accomodations on site with a good variety of locations and options for different guests. Zanny our bartender was spectacular!! Everyone feels like family there and I am so grateful we stumbled across this venue when looking. Could say so much more!! We did not have ANY issues on our day and everything was coordinated beautifully

willing to go above and beyond with any little thing. Our coordinator was Rebecca. She was so thorough with helping us plan and keep us on track. During our wedding weekend, she kept everything under control and there wasn't one single request that she couldn't take care of. We were astonished by how much Rebecca and her team told us they could handle and help with. This place is great because there are LOTS of way to customize your guests experience: lots of food and beverage options for wedding/welcome party/rehearsal dinner/breakfast; bringing in other vendors; places to actually get married and do first looks. We got married on the island and it was magical! And of course, all of the lodgin on site made it the ultimate wedding weekend. The Lodge does a lot of weddings, but nothing about this place feels like a wedding factory. They truly understand how to make it a weekend that is special for the bride, groom, and families/friends. They also worked with our budget and there was lots of ways to work within different budget ranges. If you book, do pay attention to the rates you book at, cause if they change year to year, that was something that was off occasionally with invoices, but the Lodge was quick to rectify any issues. We have absolutely zero problems and about a hundred wonderful things we can say about this venue. We had the most perfect weekend and I am so glad we got married here :)

Angela has been great at communicating throughout the process and the weekend of she checked up on us multiple times - even reassured me not to worry about the rain forecast- she was right no rain! We utilized almost everything the lodge had to offer , the tiki boat, the cabins (Pine Cottage was EVERYTHING!!) , using the taproom for a late night space (the guests were so excited to have late night pizza!) the food was also so delicious! The hor duevres are so unique and yummy (omg buffalo spring rolls!) and they made sure that we the bride and groom had enough to eat. Guests keep commenting on the huge portion size of the steak -enough protein to dance the night away! The day went by so fast and everytime I would be worried about something I would turn around and Angela and team had it already covered- from adding decor to welcome and dessert tables, setting up the whole welcome party and cocktail hour, to making clean up on Sunday so easy! Now I am trying to convince my friends to have their future weddings here , I want to do it all again!

n and answered all of my questions even when we were months out. On the day she made it so smooth I barely had to do or coordinate anything. She even brought us lunch while we were getting ready! It's not just Rebecca either. All of the wait staff, the bartenders, the bar manager and everyone on site went above and beyond. The venue itself is gorgeous and barely needs any additional decor. It's also great having the restaurant, lodging and everything in the same place.

married surrounded by nature, which would offer our friends and family a retreat where we could build community over the course of a weekend, and that would be affordable and flexible, and we found all of this at Lake Bomoseen Lodge. First of all, the location is absolutely gorgeous, we had hoped to have our ceremony on the island but the weather turned out to be too uncertain on the day so we did it on the hilltop instead and it was still stunning. Because of the weather uncertainty, we had to make a very last minute call as to where our ceremony and cocktail hour would be, and Rebecca and the whole staff were super flexible and communicative in figuring that out. Rebeca was also super flexible and communicative in the whole planning process. They didn't force any packages on us, let us pick and choose what we wanted to include, really didn't enforce any minimums, and even let us cut a few meals after the deadline because of a handful of last minute cancellations. They clearly were used to working with couples on a budget and were surprisingly accommodating to that reality compared to every other venue we spoke to throughout our search. I also have to admit that I'm detail oriented to a fault and had tons of asks of Rebecca and the staff leading up to and throughout the weekend, and they accommodated all of them. On top of more typical wedding stuff I had a couple of surprises for my husband throughout the weekend, including a gift delivered to his get ready room and a surprise confetti moment on the dance floor, and Rebecca and team helped me execute all of it in addition to the one million other more standard wedding things they were dealing with. I also have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the food. We went to one of their tasting weekends and thought the food was fine but it didn't blow us away; we were okay with that because we expected to have to compromise on something given our budget constraints. The beauty of the location and level of the support from the staff seemed well worth it to compromise a bit on food. But then the food at our actual wedding was fantastic, way better than the tasting. Our guests kept commenting on how good it was too. Finally, I have to mention that we really wanted to have a private experience and feel like we had the place to ourselves, which is a big reason we didn't consider any of the big resorts in the area (in addition to their cost). We were a bit concerned at first about the fact that Lake Bomoseen does multiple weddings a weekend, we didn't want to feel like our wedding was constantly running into others. But the Lake Bomoseen staff really coordinated everything beautifully and made sure that didn't happen, and I think we got a feeling of the place being extra private because we had a Sunday wedding and by Sunday morning all the guests from other weddings had checked out. On our actual wedding day we truly had the run of the place and every single room was booked with our guests. At the end of the day, we didn't wind up having to compromise on anything at all and truly had our dream wedding at Lake Bomoseen Lodge.

ca, Angela, and Zanny (just to name a few) treated us like family …and still do. We live in Virginia and they made planning from afar very easy. Rebecca always kept in touch and got back to us right away to answer any questions we had. Angela and Rebecca make a great team! Professional, always communicating and working together, to make the perfect wedding day for you. We grew so close with Rebecca, we even asked her to officiate our wedding! Zanny is a very talented bar tender who worked with us from day one creating Christmas cocktails and mocktails for our wedding. She even special ordered our favorite wines to have at the wedding! We stayed in the specious Birch cottage on site and were able to have our guests hang out with us days before the wedding. It provided the perfect amount of space to have a bridal party get together upstairs the day of the wedding. We enjoyed our evenings by the bonfire pit just outside the cottage. The staff would bring wood every day and even got the fire started the night of the wedding for when we got back to the cottage! Definitely take them up on the tasting for the wedding! They have INCREDIBLE food! You can taste that they take pride in their menu. The tasting offered a plate of everything they had to choose from. We were stuffed! It was also a really fun evening! We can’t say enough good things about this place. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can to visit. Thank you all again for such a perfect experience.

ation changes due to weather; she never missed a beat. She was kind and thorough in our communications and communications with our other vendors, we couldn’t have had a better coordinator. The cocktails were smooth and well balanced, the beer selection was the best of Vermont, and our bartender for the weekend was kind and attentive. The hors d’oeurves and main meals were great, the salmon and the little arancini balls were our favorites. Lastly, the scenery was beautiful: over the lake, the sunsets, the old trees along the lake, the secluded hilltop ceremony site. The trees made a nice shady spot so no one was baking in the summer sun during our lakeside ceremony. We had a thunderstorm move the welcome reception the night before from under the tent to inside, but we lucked out on the day of the wedding with a beautiful sunny day. Zanny and the bar staff were just as warm and attentive, and went above and beyond in making our day special. The food was just as amazing as the drinks. We loved the fact that our friends and family could stay on site, and took full advantage of that. We were able to share a weekend of laughs and love, with our friends, family, and the wonderful folks at the Lodge. We would change nothing about our day. The staff made us feel like family, not like another event they had to get through. If I could rate our overall experience as a 10/5 stars, I would.

ok last year for our 10/29/23 event. Upon Facetiming with Rebecca, we knew they had what we had been looking for (i.e. affordability, onsite bar/catering, weather backup plans, guest accommodations, stunning location). Right from the get go, our coordinator Angela was so incredibly helpful with answering questions and keeping up with countless emails back and forth in the months leading up to the wedding. Angela was kind, knowledgeable, flexible, attentive, and transparent. She was seriously a lifesaver for me in moments of minor bridal panic! Our wedding weekend was BEYOND what we could have imagined. Our guests were comfortable and many have shared how impressed they were with the event. We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner onsite on the second floor of the taproom. Guests then transitioned downstairs for a casual welcome party, later hanging at the fire pit by the lake. My bridal party and I stayed in the Birch cottage the night before the wedding (husband stayed at Maple cottage). Birch was PERFECT for our group of girls and had plenty of space for the stylists who came the next morning. Angela was onsite helping with ceremony/reception setup and came by to check in with me several times on the day of. The weather was overcast and raining on/off - Angela was great at keeping me updated right up until the ceremony to communicate backup options. We were still able to have our ceremony lakeside, but moved it under the tent… still stunning! Cocktail hour easily transitioned to the taproom. Despite the weather, we couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate with our loved ones. The staff were all incredible, shuttling us around the property on golf carts and keeping me hidden/dry from the groom before I walked down the aisle! Great food, drinks, epic dance party. We opted out of the catered after party and held our own at the cottage, but the venue has so many options and flexibility to keep the party going! We can’t say enough good things about our experience. Thank you so much 🙂

From our tiki boat ride, to our welcome party and on our wedding day, Angela kept everything on schedule and created a seamless experience for us and our guests. She allowed us to customize so many aspects of our day and made everything feel so effortless and easy. If the views don’t impress you enough, she will. Angela is a rockstar. In addition to Angela, every employee at the lodge deserves their own shout out (e.g. bartenders, maintenance crew who helped set up our own arbor, servers, gator drivers, etc). Every staff member was kind, caring and kept everything going smoothly. Our guests raved about how much fun they had at LBL and how impressed they were with the staff, and how delicious the food and drinks were. The leaves changing all around the property in autumn were perfection. Having on site accommodations made it easier for the wedding party and guests to hang around all weekend. We couldn’t have had a better experience for our wedding weekend - do yourself a favor and book with the lodge!!!!

From the day we toured the venue with her, to our menu tasting, to answering my many email questions, helping accommodate a last-minute hiccup in our plans, and throughout our entire rehearsal and wedding day, she was by our side and was truly irreplaceable. Lake Bomoseen Lodge has thought of everything. A beautiful outdoor ceremony site (of which there are multiple options to choose from), a phenomenal cocktail hour, rustic reception space, fantastic catering/bartending, and late-night pizzas in the taproom. Not to mention there’s on site lodging which made getting ready in the morning and keeping the party going the night of a breeze. The food was great, the customer service over the two years of planning was impeccable, and even the invoicing and payments were beyond easy. The Bomoseen team went above and beyond to let us tailor the day to our exact vision, and the ease of having everything all in one place was a dream. Again, Angela was the reason everything went off without a hitch. And a special shoutout to the lead bartender who worked our event- she was funny, kind, and made us feel like royalty on our wedding day. Our guests still can’t stop raving almost a month later about what an amazing team and venue it was. I would plan another event here in a heartbeat, and we can’t wait to come back and stay on the property again soon.

Lake Bomoseen Lodge had everything we wanted in a venue. On site catering, an outdoor lakeside ceremony location, rustic reception space, and most importantly on site lodging for our guests! Our guests loved staying at the venue and we enjoyed having a whole weekend together to celebrate! My family rented the birch cottage for the weekend which allowed us to have a welcome party the night before our wedding, a place for the bridal party to get ready the day of, and a location for a brunch the day after to properly say goodbye to our guests. Our guests kept asking where we found such a beautiful location! Everyone enjoyed the delicious reception food, pizzas from the taproom the night before, our bartender Zanny (who was so sweet and fun), the delicious speciality drinks, and most of all the ability to stay at the lodge the entire weekend! We truly can’t say enough great things about Lake Bomoseen Lodge! We can’t wait to come back and visit!

e and the staff that works there. When we first decided on the lodge as our venue we were living in New Mexico and we were worried it would be difficult to plan a wedding so far away. We were quickly in contact with the lodge's amazing event coordinator, Rebecca Field. Rebecca continued with a constant line of communication throughout the whole process of planning our wedding, always speedy when answering our questions. Rebecca was able to help us plan details we hadn't even considered and she made wedding planning an absolute breeze! From vendor recommendations to helping provide decor suggestions and plan our wedding day schedule, she had an answer to any question we could come up with. On the actual wedding day we were planning to have our wedding ceremony on the hillside site but that morning there were rain storms. Rebecca asked us what we wanted to do and provided several options for the ceremony (inside, tent, or continue with the hillside) and we were very thankful we had those options. Throughout the craziness Rebecca and all the staff were calm and cool, ready to accommodate our requests any way they could! The team did an absolutely wonderful job pivoting plans quickly and efficiently. We ended up continuing with the hillside ceremony where we were blessed with clear skies. Rebecca and the staff helped provide both a wonderful ceremony and reception that our guests raved about (and still do). The food, among countless other things, was amazing! The team aimed at making our day as stress free as possible, we are truly grateful we were able to relax and enjoy every minute of our big day. wedding. The day of the wedding, 30 minutes before our ceremony start time a huge storm rolled in pushing our ceremony inside. Rebecca and the folks at the lodge worked quickly and did a tremendous job relocating/setting up our ceremony inside. Having Pine Cottage for the weekend was a huge perk, it was so nice being able to have all our wedding party under 1 roof for the weekend. The food for the rehearsal dinner and reception was phenomenal. Being able to completely customize our menu was great. The only con to lake bomoseen lodge was there is not much lodging onsite, so some of our guest had to stay off site. We got our remaining guest a room block at a hotel in rutland. Service is very scarce and uber was not an option so we provided a shuttle service to and from the hotel block to the lodge.
