Located conveniently on the Burlington waterfront, The Community Sailing Center is perfect for any of life’s celebrations! Our beautiful lakeside venue is a lively hub on the shores of Lake Champlain, less than a mile from downtown Burlington, VT, where community members and visitors gather to laugh, learn, and play on the lake together. Our Merrill Family Terrace and newly-renovated Dana Pier offer breathtaking views of Lake Champlain, the Burlington Waterfront, and the Adirondacks. These versatile spaces with stunning backdrops are perfect for hosting weddings, welcome parties, engagement celebrations, and more! Hosting your event at the CSC means you are celebrating in a purpose-built, net-zero, award-winning, fully accessible building. The Community Sailing Center was founded in 1994 with a mission to connect people to Lake Champlain. As a nonprofit, all revenue from venue rentals goes directly back into supporting the CSC and our programs. To this day, our purpose remains the same: “Lake Access. Life Lessons. For All.”

its open sides—allowed us to take in the lake and the bonus for us was seeing the stunning sunset over the water after the celebration!
Sofia, the onsite event coordinator, was lovely to work with. She worked seamlessly with our Day Of Coordinator and was kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. On the wedding day, she was calm, flexible, and wonderfully supportive—even with last-minute changes.
My daughter appreciated that this is a nonprofit venue with a strong community mission. Celebrating such an important day in a space that reflects those values made it even more meaningful.
We recommend the Community Sailing Center to anyone looking for a beautiful spot on the lake with amazing views to celebrate with family and friends!

The staff helped quickly transition from an outdoor to indoor ceremony at the last minute due to rain and made what could have been a stressful moment, feel very easy. It was perfect for our tiny wedding (under 30 guests) and I’m sure would be lovely for a bigger one as well!

illy prior to the wedding who is personable and so sweet! Then on the day of the wedding the event coordinator Sadie worked with my family to ensure everything was set up including tables and the outside dock! All of my guest couldn’t believe how beautiful the area was with the Mountain View’s. My favorite part about the community sailing center is the profits from the wedding go back into the community to help pay for camps and other things that are offered! I would recommend everyone use this venue for an event!
