Lake Cuyamaca Recreation and Park District

Lake Cuyamaca is located 15 minutes from the historic town of Julian, CA. The Lake offers two venues for weddings and other celebrations and is known for its breathtaking landscape, surrounding mountains, and tranquil views. One venue is the Ole Firehouse, which can hold up to 100 guests and the other venue is the Lake side "Island", which can hold up to 80 guests. The Firehouse is a cozy indoor venue with a renovated kitchen, large outdoor deck, patio area and large bridal dressing room. This intimate setting can accommodate you and up to 100 of your closest friends and family. It's large, shaded deck is a picturesque location with a beautiful view of the lake. Tables and chairs to sit 100 guests are included with the Ole Firehouse venue package. The Firehouse venue is also fully wheelchair-accessible with plenty of parking for you and your guests. Your wedding party will have full access to a spacious dressing room to prepare or freshen up, as well as free Wi-Fi connectivity. Lake Cuyamaca allows you to choose your own vendors for music, food, flowers, etc. to ensure that your day is everything you've ever wished for. We also have a vendor list to help assist with ideas if needed. Our other venue location, called the "Island" which is a secluded space has a scenic, natural site right on the lake that is just right for a small outdoor wedding. 80 people is the maximum for this type of wedding. Guests would park their vehicles at the Ole Firehouse and must be shuttled to the location. You are allowed to keep 4 vehicles onsite at the lake. You get 6 daylight hours on the day of your event. Indoor option in case of extreme inclement weather is available at the Ole’ Firehouse venue, so you can relax and enjoy your special day without any worries. Tables and chairs are not included in this venue package. Our vendor list will help point you in the right direction to give you ideas on what you might need on your special day. As mentioned above, you are free to select a vendor of your own choosing.
