Sandy and Marshall were both very attentive and really made me feel like they wanted me to have the best of everything! I could not recommend the Lake Elsie Wedding Barn more!

lo, to the tulle on the ceiling, it all ties together, pairing elegance with rustic charm. The crystal chandeliers and cafe lighting illuminate the Barn with a romantic glow. Beyond its beauty, the owners get an A+!! Marshall and Sandy were there at our beck and call to help move things, serve wine, and assure everything was flowing according to plan. We were so relaxed on our wedding day because of their attention to detail. In the planning process, Sandy walked us through our whole weekend -- from Friday night rehearsal to Saturday night last call -- we walked through it together and were able to envision our entire weekend before it played out. This was extremely helpful for my "type A" personality; we were all on the same page and the details were planned down to a T! Marshall was right there to assist in moving any decorating pieces and had a bonfire ready for us both Friday and Saturday nights -- another "hit" according to our guests! One of the best parts about our wedding package was that we, as a couple, and a few friends got to stay right on location at the Lady on the Lake Bed & Breakfast. We arrived Friday morning and I didn't leave the location until Sunday afternoon! Being able to stay right there was SO convenient! reat to have a lovely place to go to on the lake for my daughter’s party. As her grandma always says “We made a beautiful memory!!!” I love the house and barn (absolutely amazing hard work and love has gone into preserving and using it to bring others joy) and it was so nice to enjoy it with my family and friends who made it extra special!!!! other my first child graduating I had no idea what I was doing. Sandy walked me through all that I would need. It was so great to have a bar right there, a kitchen, food, tables, the whole 9 yard of what we needed. The colonel itself is such a beautiful setting. Sandy and Marshal worked with me to get me set up. I cannot thank these 2 enough for everything they did for us. My daughter was so happy!!!!!

My husband and I along with the wedding party choose to stay at Lady on the Lake, & Sandy served us delicious meals. This is a very reasonable priced venue and guests will love the setting. This venue would be a great place to have any type of celebration.

we're able to use the hot tub as well. It was a great time. There was some confusion about water. Bottled water was bought ahead of time for our guests by the bride's parents to ensure there was water provided to our guests without having the guests to pay for it. Also, make sure you are clear about drink tickets. We had such a lovely experience at the hankinson barn. So many great memories and the entire day went smoothly!

organization and communication errors throughout the process. Some prices and potential "add on's" were not communicated correctly via e-mail. Those have since ALL been corrected for new incoming brides as they now have a great, detailed contract in place! This place allows for 3 options for the ceremony, one overlooking a lake. The reception was so beautiful upstairs and we had SO many compliments on everything, especially the venue. The groom, I and 3 other couples were staying on the property which made things so much easier to handle with getting ready and grabbing last minute things. I would recommend this place to anyone and EVERYONE. Thank you so much for being a huge part in making out dream come true and sharing your absolutely stunning venue!

Lady on the Lake, makes it so convenient for this special occasion. The owners treat you like family and are extremely accommodating in every sense. We could not have asked for anything more. We will use this venue again for other large occasions.

ke they tell you but stops at midnight. She says she prefers email communication since she has a hearing impairment but even through email she couldn't keep things straight. We discussed who was staying at the B&B each of the 4 in person visits we made and all 4 couples emailed her to book the rooms 8 months prior to the wedding but she never wrote anything down so she ended up booking 6 couples (some of our guests found the B&B on google and we were unaware they called about rooms because the owners never contacted us about it) into 4 rooms and then told me I had to fix it a month before our wedding. We were told numerous times if our wedding party stays at the Inn in Hankinson (which they did) they would receive muffins, toast, and juice in the morning. That was never provided which is a shame considering how good her made from scratch muffins were. They also say the block off all the rooms at the Inn for your wedding party until a month before the wedding. That was never done either as we also had booking issues there because she didn't have the list of people right. Wrong alcohol prices were given to us due to her looking at another couples file rather than the master list. When I emailed them after our wedding to give feedback on how our experience could've been better, they wanted us to drive over an hour down there to talk about it in person but only if it was monday-thursday. After I declined I was met with extreme hostility and rage, saying "who do you think you are", and I was "hiding behind a computer screen" (even though as previously stated she prefers email contact due to her hearing) and "screaming insults". I believe she was offended because I said her husband was rude for telling my guests to "sit down and shut up" on the shuttle and I saw no benefit to anyone driving down there to have a "he said, she said" argument. The gnats were so bad the day of our wedding my arms looked like I had the chicken pox. The buildings and the land are very well taken care of and Sandy is a wonderful cook. Sandy and Marshall are very nice people so long as you provide no constructive criticism because they are experts and the customer is always wrong.

to rain an hour before. Sandy & Marshal put me at ease by helping us get our 'Plan B' rolling - It was so beautiful that most of my guests though it was the original plan. My husband and I toured a few venues and ended up falling in L O V E with the overall charm this one had to offer. check this place out!
