Lake Fungs Barn is a gorgeous, scenic, countryside wedding venue located in Richmond, VA. It is a proud family-owned residence run by Duncan and Suzanne Fung. Duncan and Suzanne have been married for almost 35 years and bought the property in 2006. They have happily celebrated countless weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries here ever since.
One such wedding was that of their daughter, Esther Fung, who is now the manager and day-of-coordinator at Lake Fungs Barn. Esther loved that she could celebrate her wedding in such a stunning, peaceful location and is so excited to welcome you to do the same. Speaking of the venue, it stands at 5300 square feet with a capacity of 150 and marries country charm with romantic landscapes. Your wedding party can get ready in one of the complimentary wedding suites before making your grand entrance down the stairs facing the lake. You can exchange your vows by the water and then move to the beautifully decorated barn to dance with your loved ones under the chandeliers.
Everybody knows that doves have been a symbol of matrimony since antiquity. So, if you'd like to create a truly unique image, you can exchange your vows beneath a flock of domestic doves, saying 'I do' as they take flight. Lake Fungs Barn provides a photography service, so you will be in the capable hands of someone who knows the most romantic areas of the property. Our first experience with LFB was in November 2023 for a friend’s wedding. My boyfriend and I at the time had started talking about the next step and how perfect this location was ...
for a wedding. We ended up reaching out to Duncan in February 2024 to ask for a tour. Duncan gave us the full tour including the on property guest house, and we were SOLD! We signed our contract and paid the deposit that weekend. Duncan and Suzanne are so wonderful to work with too! They work with you on breaking down payments for when things are due and respond within 24 hours. As we got closer to our wedding date Duncan let us come out and tour everything again and answered all of my last minute questions. Suzanne was amazing at communicating day of lists and clean up.
During our set up on Friday, Duncan came over to make sure the AC was good and if we needed anything. They had the tables and chairs closet unlocked and ready for us to set up when we got there. They give you a 4 hour window for rehearsal time but are very willing to work with you if you need more. The day of our wedding they had onsite staff to help with any issues and make sure everything went smooth on their end. Duncan personally came over after our ceremony and congratulated us and joined our celebration for some pictures.
If you want a nice quiet spacious venue with amazing views, perfect golden hour picture spots, and awesome owners this is your place! All of our wedding guests raved about how perfect the barn is and how beautiful the natural wood work looks. Thank you Duncan and Suzanne for being part of our day!

They went above and beyond to create a seamless experience for the wedding party and their guests, and you could tell they took great pride in maintaining the property to the highest standards.
