Debbie did an amazing job on my wedding cake despite me having booked her rather last minute after another bakery we had hired fell through. She made a near exact replica of a cake design I found online that I liked, and the cake was so DELICIOUS! My guests all raved about how good it was. I would highly recommend The LGBC for any bakery needs!

Debbie at Lake George Baking Co. is a joy to work with. She is so calm and knows exactly what she's doing, which helped us not to worry as well! Their desserts were amazing and the cake was not only beautiful, but also delicious.

Debbie the head baker for wedding cakes of this establishment was simply amazing. She was attentive, sweet, and after hearing my husband and I were vegan offered to make the top of the cake vegan for us! Working with her was easy, the price was affordable and our guests and us were super happy with the end result. Highly recommend!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There was a mix up with my wedding cake tasting appointment. They mistakenly scheduled it a month early. It's a mistake. These things happens. But the rude call I just received is unforgivable. The woman on the other end had the nastiest attitude I've ever received from anyone. When I explained that due to timing, I would have to go with another baker she hung up on me. Completely unprofessional. I was planning to use them for my wedding shower cake but will be taking my business elsewhere. I urge you to do the same.

I had a last minute cake emergency and needed to find someone local to make a wedding cake for my wedding at Burlap & Beams in Athol 2 weeks before my wedding this past July. Even though Debbie was absolutely swamped she said it would be no issue and she would make it happen.. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and sure enough when we showed up that day our cake was delivered set up and beautiful and it tasted absolutely amazing! I was so thankful. Thank you a million Debbie, you really saved the day!

Debbie and her team are amazing. We were so thrilled with how great our cake tasted and looked, and the pricing is also very reasonable. There was a last minute issue where our flowers for the cake topper arrived dead and Debbie and her team went above and Beyond to make buttercream flowers that looked better than the real thing. She was so sweet and generous and helped calm us down and really made everything perfect. One tip is that This bakery is family run and very old school. We were planning the wedding from a distance so If you are looking for a quick response definitely call them rather than using email and they will be super helpful! Thank you lake George bakery!

Debbie, the owner of this bakery, will bake you the wedding cake of your dreams! Not only will it be beautiful, the best part, it is delicious! I asked for a Rustic Birch wedding cake and she knew just what to do. She doesn't bake until two days before and the cake never sees a freezer! Thus, moist/ fresh cake that can be enjoyed by all. She is old school, meets with you in person, and doesn't take any payment until two days before. This is a lady who knows her craft. I was so pleased with the outside and more importantly the inside of my wedding cake, go taste for yourself!

We absolutely over our design and taste of our wedding cake made by Debbie at the Lake George Baking company. The cake Dabbie made for our wedding was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved the vanilla chocolate combo with the soft shabby chic ruffled design, romantic roses and the "ice" sprinkles. And a special mention needs to be made regarding the Buttercream frosting... made everyone's hair fly back! It was the perfect dessert for our day. Thank you Xx

Ordered a cake and cupcakes for my wedding. The help was great and willing to work with you so much especially on details. Delivery was perfect on time and the cupcakes and cake were so delicious. Easily the best I have ever had.

Debbie was so amazing! They really know how to bake. I did a small cake and a lot of cookies and pastries. Everyone enjoyed them and they did a beautiful job on the set up. It was so easy to plan because we sat down and talked once, then confirmed on the phone a few days before the wedding. Kudos to Debbie and her team. They did great!

We got our wedding cake from Lake George Baking Company, and we loved it! We ordered a three tiered wedding cake which fed our group of 64 people, and left the top tier for my husband and I to take home. Our wedding was in the Adirondacks and we were hoping for a cake to go along with that. We wanted our cake to look like a birch tree with our initials carved into it, and the baking company did exactly what we imagine. The cake itself was delicious! We ordered a chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse, and a buttercream frosting. The frosting was the perfect consistency. It was light and fluffy, but held up nicely during the reception. I would highly recommend this company!

Such great cake, it tasted amazing. They spent a lot of time sitting down with us going over all the options that we had to choose from. They also made sure to call the week of the wedding just to make sure that they had all of the options that we wanted. The cake looked amazing and tasked even better.

We used Lake George Baking Company for our Wedding Cake May 10th, 2014 at Jimbo's Point of Pines in Brant Lake. THe cake looked amazing and it was so delicious! THe staff at Lake George Baking company made me feel comfortable and very easy to work with with! I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

Lake George Baking Company made our cake for our wedding at the Inn at Erlowest. We got to choose several flavors to alternate in the cake, which was nice to provide a selection for guests. It looked amazing and was also delicious!

My husband and I had our inital consultation with the LGBC roughly 6 months before our wedding. At that time we sat down with Debbie, their wedding "coordinator." She went over all the different types of cakes, flavors & styles for us to choose from. After that day, all we had to notify her of (prior to the wedding) was the cake flavors & number of people. Three weeks prior to our wedding I called the LGBC to speak with Debbie to finalize things. I was told she was "very busy" and that I could leave a message, and I would be called back "in a day or two." Over the next 2 weeks I placed ATLEAST 3 more calls to her, each time I was told that "she would call me" to finalize. I would have gone there personally if I lived in that area. Exactly a week prior to my wedding I still had not heard from her. I was in fear that I may not have a wedding cake. They were becoming more rude each time I spoke with the bakery, and the were VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. TWO DAYS before my wedding I recieved a call from Debbie to "finalize things." By this time I had found another bakery to use, and I was confident that I would have a wedding cake on my wedding day! I tried to explain to Debbie how upset and how unprofessional her bakery was run, how I was not waiting till 2 days before my wedding to MAYBE have a wedding cake. She was VERY RUDE & I had to verbally fight with her to get my cake toppers back. She had no intention of every returning them. I feel I gave her and the bakery MANY CHANCES to make good on their end. Unfortunately I would not ever do business with them, nor recommend them to anyone. No bride should have to worry about having (or not having) a wedding cake 2 days before their big day!!!

We had a beautiful pumpkin spice cake with vanilla mousse. We gave them a picture of our cake inspiration and she did a great job interperating what we wanted.

My husband and I were very pleased with our Cake. It was exactly what we asked for. But we were not pleased with the service. Seemed to be forgetful of what we asked for as far as service and delivery. But overall, the cake was perfect, and the price was decent!

Diane and her staff did a wonderful job with our cake. I was amazed how it was picture perfect! It was exactly like the picture I presented to her. Everyone loved the cake and I still get praises on beautiful it was!! Thank you so much for making my day complete.

My wedding was in May 2012. My husband and I are not from the area where the venue was so we had to go with our guts (literally). Not only was this the best cake I've ever eaten but all of her other goodies are fabulous as well! Besides being a great baker, one of the owners, Debbie is so nice and friendly. She really works with you to give you exactly what you want! My wedding cake was AMAZING and DELICIOUS!!! and the cost was way lower that expected which of course was a bonus. Fabulous cake on a budget! If you are ever in the Lake George area you must stop by the Lake George Baking Company! You will not be disappointed.

Our cake was a four tier round with marble cake and chocolate mousse or strawbeerry filling in every other tier, respectively. It was simply delicious! Not to mention it was included in our wedding venue cost through Longfellow's Hotel and Restaurant in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Debbie from the Lake George Baking Company (formerly of the Vanilla Bean) is fabulously talented. Not only did she make us an adorable, delcious cake, but she provided us with fantastic pastries and cookies for our event. She is also a gem to work with!

What can I say about Debbie...LOVE HER!! I agree with the one review that she can be a little hard to get a hold of but, if that is the only thing then I was glad to take it when it came to the end result!! The cake was GORGEOUS and just like the other review said..the BEST butter-cream frosting I have ever had!!! I do not know how she does it but it is INCREDIBLE, so light but still sweet and smooth absolute HEAVEN!! We just went with a simple design that matched my dress. It looked better than I could have hoped, we got so many compliments everyone loved it. We had a three tier and it was a different cake for each one. I totally recommend the yellow cake with the lemon mousse and raspberry preserves..it was FANTASTIC!! The whole thing was really perfect. I was shocked at the price...beyond reasonable..could not have gotten the quality of this cake for the price anywhere else. I felt like to process was really very easy. At our tasting Debbie sent us home with a whole little cake. We were lucky to get tiny chunks at other places. We were also doing this long distance, we are located in Charletson SC, and I still think that it was seamless! When we met with Debbie we just loved her (and she loved my husband's accent:)) and we just knew we wanted her to be our baker even before we tasted the cake. One bite of that frosting was the clincher though! Maybe we were just a little more low maintenance, but I would refer Debbie and The Lake George Bakery to everyone!! We talked about what we wanted and they made if happen:)!

The cake from this place is delicious! The people who own it are the original owners of the Vanilla Bean which is what I had always wanted for my wedding cake. The buttercream frosting is the best I've ever had - and I've tried many! I highly recommend the red velvet cake.

When searching for my wedding cakes, I tried several bakeries. Theowner forced me to pre-order a chocolate cake even though I told her I didn't like chocolate. The cake seriously didn't meaure up in taste AT ALL to Gambles' (who we ended up going with). I almost cried when I left I was so pushed around. When we called to say we wouldn't be using them we called FOUR times - they kept asking "Are you sure?" It was scary. Poor service & poor tasting cake. GO TO GAMBLES!!

When I first saw the pictures of the cakes on the website I thought it would be way to expensive, but not only are the cakes beautiful and delicious, they are affordable!! Debbie did a wonderful job with our birchtree wedding cake and groomscake. It was a little difficult to get a hold of her a times, but the end product is worth the effort.
