detail was handled with care and professionalism. The location is stunning—lakefront views, scenic running trails, cozy cottages, a golf course, and delicious food—all within our budget. Despite unpredictable New England weather, Bonnie kept us calm and informed with backup plans. Miraculously, the ceremony stayed outdoors, and when the rain hit during dinner, the staff didn’t miss a beat—serving guests with smiles, even while soaked. The bartenders were incredible, going table to table to keep drinks flowing despite puddles forming around the bar. And when a baby spilled an espresso martini on my white dress? Bonnie came to the rescue again—a little Dawn and water, and the stain was nearly invisible. The entire team went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Bonnie. She's pushy, un responsive, assumed my fiance and I were going to be demanding/high maintenance, is uninformed of policies at the resort, and is just overall incorrect about information. For example we had to correct here twice about the contract details/payment due before signing it. She then insisted that she would change the details that were incorrect after we signed and returned the copy she sent... there are so many things wrong with that morally and professionally. The week before the wedding she told us she could not store our cake (which was incorrect), did not have the correct number of chairs, and the timeline of events was off by 30min. My fiance and I were very organized and on the date the final payment was due we were never contacted and when we called the office were told that Bonnie would reach out to us regarding it. Then 3 days later she called us to say that we must pay our balance immediately. We were traveling across the country that day to the venue and told her that we'd be happy to give her a check early the next morning sense this demand was so short notice. She said that wasn't possible and that we would have to give her a credit card number over the phone at this very moment. The other coordinator Sarah was more than helpful and very helpful/responsive to work with. The day before the wedding we were told that Bonnie would not be our coordinator on the day of and that a former coordinator for the resort would take over. The day of coordinator was wonderful and took excellent ent care of us, she was really on top of things. Overall we loved our wedding here and would recommend it, we just wouldn't recommend Bonnie, she made the entire process way more stressful and complicated than it needed to be. We spent the last few months managing and helping HER instead of the other way around.

provided was amazing. The best part about our experience with Lake Morey was our day-of planner that they provided, Bonnie. She truly made everything run very smoothly on the day of, she was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions quickly and efficiently. She was a joy to work with, and we could not have done it without her. I have had many people who attended the wedding reach out to me, singing her praises. We honestly want to go back to Lake Morey, just to hold a family reunion/party! Thank you so much Lake Morey!

The chef is also AMAZING and I will dream of all the food we had for years to come. All of our guests were able to stay at the resort with us and loved it. Being close to so many great trails was also a big plus as well as little shops along the way. Another bonus? Lake Morey was able to host a welcome dinner and farewell breakfasts for our guests which made seeing all of our loved ones relaxed and was also very appreciated for the out of towners (which was all 80 of our guests since this was a destination wedding). Whether you have a ceremony of the water or in their garden space, you will not be disappointed by any photo you have of your special day at the resort. We cannot thank the Lake Morey team enough for helping us to have our dream day!

rly June wedding. We worked with Bonnie, and she was very responsive and ensured everything flowed smoothly. We used the Terrace Ballroom which opens up right onto the outdoor/lakeside space we used for the ceremony. They take care of all the chairs, tables, linen, bar, appetizers and dinner food, etc (the only thing we had to cater was the cake). People stayed the following day and it was a great opportunity to gather and share breakfast in the dining room. Canoes and kayaks are available for use and a group of us went canoeing. In addition to hotel rooms, they also have individual "cottages" (which are actually huge houses with fantastic views of the lake) that you can rent to stay in, which part of our family did. Overall, I would say we had good communication and it was great value--beautiful, but affordable. The food was not amazing, but with everything else being wonderful and the cost being reasonable compared to other Vermont venues, I am still very, very happy with choosing to have our wedding at Lake Morey Resort. I wish we could do it all over again!

There are several great outdoor options for various events of different sizes -the lakefront, gardens and front lawn. It was also extremely convenient to have everything in one place & not have to worry about food & transportation. Our guests enjoyed several outdoor activities on the day of the wedding - biking, tennis, hiking and kayaking. All the staff were very polite & friendly. Melissa, the wedding coordinator did a terrific job, helping make a very stressful day less stressful for us. Everyone had such a fantastic time. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so magical!

what we pictured and wanted for our cocktail hour and reception. However, the wedding venue coordinators (Melissa is unresponsive and Erin is just rude) were TERRIBLE! How incredibly stressful!! Responses often took weeks and then only half of our questions were answered. The most mundane requests were not met. Keep in mind- you are paying for the use of the venue- all other details and the follow-through are done by you. Even the day of the wedding we didn’t have answers- ie who brings the cake down and when, where was the table for the unity ceremony, etc, etc. all we can say is, thank goodness for family. Even after the wedding we spoke with the owner, Mark about our experiences- My husband heard crickets.

where friends and family could gather not only for the wedding festivities, but serve as a weekend getaway for guests at the same time. Guests enjoyed the golf, tennis, trails, paddle boards and canoeing. Having perfect weather for an entire weekend didn't hurt either! I was pleased to plan a rehearsal dinner with Melissa Seaver who was so responsive and patient in answering all my questions via email and phone. This was much appreciated since all planning was done long distance as I did not have the opportunity to visit the venue prior to the wedding weekend. The "I Do BBQ" Rehearsal dinner was outdoors in a beautiful setting in Mapleview Gardens followed by a guest Welcome Smores Party with lawn games at the firepit. What a beautiful and fun venue! Thank you also to Food and Beverage Manager Elias who was working hard all weekend and oversaw a most delicious buffet BBQ rehearsal dinner. I only wished I had saved room for more homemade pie. The wedding and reception the following day was spectacular and I know the bride, groom, and bride's family would agree that we would all recommend Lake Morey Resort as an excellent choice for a wedding venue! Visit and see for yourself!

We envisioned a wedding location where all our family and friends could enjoy themselves for a weekend away--the lake, the pool, hot tub, spa, golf course, tennis, bar, restaurant, and so much more provided our guests with ample entertainment. So many of our guests did just that, spent a weekend in Vermont relaxing and enjoying the lake. I loved looking out my window and seeing family or friends kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, tubing, and more! We were in touch with Erin, the incredible Director of Sales very often from booking the resort through to our wedding day, June 27, 2015. I had SO many questions, and Erin was always prompt to respond, kind, understanding, and creative helping with our wedding ideas. The lead up to the wedding involved so many details but Erin made it as stress free as possible, especially when dealing with our many characters involved. The same is true of Theresa, who worked the front desk for our wedding weekend and many of our visits up to the resort for planning. Every interaction with her was a joy--I am still hearing about things she did to help my family and guests throughout the weekend. I can't say enough about the kindness of all the staff at Lake Morey--they were so wonderful to work with! The setting was perfect, the staff were amazing, and our wedding weekend getaway was everything we wanted. I would highly recommend Lake Morey Resort to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and scenic location with something for everyone to enjoy. We are very grateful and can't wait to visit again :)

t of town. They didn't have that in the system even though I had comfirmed rooms. Or some of the guests didn't get the room they had requested upon booking. Other then that the service was great! The rooms were great! The food was more then great! If you are thinking of getting married here, DO IT!

joy a wonderful and worry free reception. My only complaint was the food. My chicken was wonderful, but my husbands prime rib was way over cooked and flavorless.

utting the cake threw out my sugar flowers from my cake which was upsetting they were beautiful and a contributing factor to the cost of the cake.
