We never felt pushed and we appreciated her kind, calm nature. Sandy was extremely accommodating, flexible and communicative during multiple venue and date changes due to covid. She went above and beyond, meeting with us on-site the night before to discuss our final plans and scope out some photo locations. The day of the wedding brought more schedule changes due to timing and weather, but Sandy did not miss a beat. She was a pro at leading and wrangling large groups of people and made sure to find beautiful locations with the best natural lighting based on the rain and changing weather. She was nowhere but everywhere at the same time in the best possible way. She surprised us at the reception with a sneak peek slideshow of photos from throughout the day. It was such a treasured moment. She captured the most beautiful moments of the day, a mix of high quality candids, formal photos, and artistic shots. We could not be happier with how the photos turned out. We are truly able to relive the day by looking through our album. Sandy was extremely prompt- we were sent a sneak peek gallery 3 days after our wedding with our final album available less than a month after our wedding. Both times, we were able to access the photos online via a link, which made it super easy to show family and friends. Sandy also sent us a beautiful monogrammed album to hold the physical flash drive and to top that all off, a framed photo from our ceremony. The entire process of working with Sandy was so easy, probably the easiest part of our wedding planning. Her website and packages are user-friendly, and the online payment method was a great feature and so easy to use. We recommend Sandy 1000%! uess we'll have to settle for this: she is the BEST. Sandy came to us in a moment of terror on our wedding day--our photographer had bailed 90 minutes before the ceremony in Lake Placid. Suffice to say there were many tears shed when we got this news. Like the super human she is, however, Sandy agreed to help us on a dismal Sunday in January on almost no notice. She beat me to the venue. I mean, come on. At this point, we would have been overjoyed with a teenager with a half decent camera taking our wedding pictures. What we got--and what we should have booked from the very beginning--was an excellent photographer and an even better person. Sandy's work is terrific and you will have it delivered quickly. She's the consummate professional. Her rates are exceptionally reasonable. On top of that though--Sandy was really cool and a lot of fun. She was in the middle of the madness of our wedding and captured everything we could have hoped for--and more. If you take away anything from this review, please let it be this: we are absolutely thrilled with the work that she did for us, and you will be too. Pro-tip: don't wait until 90 minutes before your wedding to book Sandy. I highly doubt you will be as lucky as my wife and I were that day. Book her now. You will be so happy you did!

Sandy was able to move with ease within the synagogue and capture all elements of our traditional service. Sandy also knows the local caterers, florists and other wedding support services and was able to help us plan the logistics for the wedding day festivities. Sandy has subsequently helped us to develop several special wedding albums and a book. We highly recommend Sandy without reservation. She is so easy and flexible to work with and was highly responsive to our plans and events.

The photos she takes are beautiful. She caught the big moments, but also the more candid and quiet moments that you least expect. She captured the lighting beautifully and her ability to frame pictures “just so” is truly an art. When I look at the photos, they make me smile and take me right back to all the goodness of the day. To me, that reflects the quality of her eye and her commitment to truly connecting with those she photographs. On a more personal note, Sandy is a kind and caring person. So many of our guests commented that they enjoyed talking with her and felt she fit so perfectly with everyone. I couldn’t agree more - she felt like one of the crowd. If there’s one regret I have, it’s that we didn’t get more time with her. I recommend Lake Placid Photography wholeheartedly.

These days, photographers will charge a premium for Weddings but not Sandy...she's fair and priced under the rest. FYI - My wife and I got engaged in Lake Placid and I reached out to Sandy who not only scoped out a place to for me to propose but also caught the whole thing on camera. Like I said, she's the BEST!!!
