Lake Pleasant Cruises

lake was so beautiful at sunset, and after dark, it was serene and quiet. It felt like we had the lake all to ourselves that night and the rest of the world barely existed. Simply perfect. The ceremony and reception were absolutely everything I could have hoped for and surpassed all of my expectations. Since my wedding was the first on the boat, there were no convenient catering options. Dillon’s has since started catering the cruises, but we provided our own food which worked great as a cost-saving option. The roof over the top deck was also added after our cruise, so weather shouldn’t be as much of a concern for future events. We kept our fingers crossed leading up to the big day the weather wouldn’t be an issue (and fortunately, it was 75 degree and clear all evening.) Throughout the process of coordinating with Lake Pleasant Cruises, Kate Finney was very helpful answering my questions and called me right away if there was an important update (for example, when the marina changed their policy and no longer charged cruise boat guests for parking). I worried that getting the food and decorations down to the boat would be a challenge, but we were able to work with the marina's shuttles and only needed a few trips to get everything down to the boat. It actually all went very smoothly and only took about 20 minutes to take two car loads of supplies down to the boat. I gave my guests instructions on where to park and how to find the boat and told them to plan on a minimum of 20 minutes to park and board since the shuttles would probably be busy (there happened to be a huge fishing tournament the weekend of our wedding). We didn't have any issues. As a bonus, the wedding party met up at the boat early when we finished our photographs at Cibola Vista (which I highly recommend as a place to shoot wedding photos) and took some beautiful photos at the marina while we waited for guests to board. I had friends and family who helped set up for the wedding and clean up afterwards. Kate's crew took care of setting up the chairs on deck and wrapping the railings with white lights. There was also a crew member helping with boarding, etc during the cruise, and we used the boat’s sound system to play all of our music. It all went very smoothly. I just wish I could go back and re-live that day all over again!
