Located on the scenic banks of the Tchefuncte River on the Northshore of New Orleans, the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum is a unique and beautiful venue that can be tailored to accommodate any special occasion. We have 100' of dock space that makes a beautiful backdrop for weddings. We have a cottage that is specifically designed for the bridal party to use all day to get ready in! Have lunch delivered as you sit by the river and sip champagne. You will be steps away from the dock for your ceremony later !!! Our event venue is located inside the Museum. We recently remodeled and it is stunning. We can accommodate up to 300 guests. ul and made me feel so at ease trying to get everything together for our wedding. Tropical storm Barry wound up flooding out our original date of July 13th, but Mrs. Haddox was more than accommodating to help us find another date considering the circumstances. We were so impressed by how everything turned out and our pictures were amazing because of how beautiful this place is. I couldn’t have asked for anything better ! It really was the perfect day and night.
