We hired Lake Tahoe Cakes to create our custom wedding cake. The communication was prompt and our wedding cake was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend Allison and her team if you are looking for the best baker in South Lake Tahoe.

I would highly recommend to get your wedding cake from Lake Tahoe cakes! Allison is an amazing baker. Her cakes are delicious. Tasting was such an amazing experience and she has everything to make your wedding desserts a hit. Her cake for us was amazing and all our guests loved it. We absolutely loved the almond cake we got and the best was the frosting wasn’t too sweet. It was perfect!

We hired Lake Tahoe Cakes to serve our wedding in the North Lake Tahoe area and she was the right choice. We visited a few months before the event to do a tasting and we were impressed with every flavor she offered. And she made it easy for us to pick the cake that worked for us. She also provided customized desserts, even ones that other vendors said they wouldn’t do for us. We highly recommend!

We got our wedding cake and desserts from Lake Tahoe Cakes, and they turned out soooo well! We did an almond cake with almond butter cream, and raspberry jam, brownies, macaroons (raspberry and vanilla), and hand pies (apple and berry) and they were all delicious. Had them delivered to our wedding venue in Homewood, then our family returned the rentals the next day (as we didn’t want to pay the fee for pickup). Highly recommend!

We used Lake Tahoe Cakes for our wedding back in October. We had a tasting where we fell in love with all the different flavors and combinations. They had such a cute tasting room and really made the experience special. We had Lake Tahoe Cakes create a raspberry and champagne cake as well as a dessert bar and cookies as our wedding gift. Everything were delicious and absolutely beautiful. They were extremely communicative and thorough. I sent them pictures and ideas and they executed my dreams perfectly. The one thing my husband wanted more than anything on our wedding day was his grooms cake. A big, red, semi truck cake. Boy did Allison and Lisa deliver! From the tasting to the delivery and all the details in-between, it was more than we could have asked for. Our cake(s) were the talk of our wedding and we are so grateful for their "sweet" talent!

Lake Tahoe Cakes did a great job for our wedding. We had done a few tastings but nothing compared to Lake Tahoe Cakes. They had great flavors and helped us mix and match our favorite flavors and made our cake delicious. Working with Allison as easy. She was professional and very helpful. I even changed my design a few months before the wedding and she had no problem with that. I would highly recommend Lake Tahoe Cakes and working with Allison, she was great.

We are so happy we went with Lake Tahoe Cakes for our wedding. We came to Tahoe and did a few tastings 5 months prior to our wedding and we’re blown away by them. A couple months before, we also decided to add their cookie dough truffles which were amazing. Everyone raved about the cake too. One guest even commented that they don’t usually like cake, but came back for a 2nd slice and loved it so much!

From our cake tasting, to the design, to the day of our wedding-- Lake Tahoe Cakes was amazing! We needed a simple two tiered cake for our dessert table, and Allison had such a great gallery of photos to help us choose our "aspen" design. The cake turned out beautifully & so delicious, and we were able to save the top tier for our first anniversary. We highly recommend.. Thank you!

Lake Tahoe cakes made my beautiful and delicious wedding cake! I went with a 3 tier and chose 3 different flavors, lemon raspberry, almond with lavender cream and the chai latte. All of them were delicious! The also had options for cake stands to borrow which was great. Communication was easy and smooth. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Wonderful cake, wish I got to eat more! Working with Allison at Lake Tahoe Cakes was a pleasure from start to wedding! She was flexible with date and venue change, and accommodated both my dad and brother at the cake tasting, which by the way, was so amazing! Our cake turned out so beautiful, you can really tell she's passionate about what she does because it shows in the product! Would hire 1,000x over again!

Had the easiest time working with Allison. As we were changing our entire wedding plans due to the pandemic, we were unable to taste the cake in advance.. and truly we did not have too. My husband and I live in NJ and working with Allison from across the country was so easy. She was very responsive and took my inspiration pictures into account when creating our moon themed wedding cake. Our guests devoured the desserts and cake in minutes. highly recommend!

Allison is so sweet! We are so happy she did the dessert for our wedding. Everything from the tasting to the wedding went smoothly. She goes above and beyond! We were looking for someone to make custom donuts and do a small cake to cut. Allison bakes the freshest fried and cake donuts. Her flavors are incredible and speak to her creativity and talent. We ended up getting a cake for the bridal suite in a pink champagne flavor. It tasted amazing and was so beautifully decorated! Zephyr Lodge can be a challenge for vendors and Allison made it seem like a breeze. She even caught some great photos of us on the chairlift! The donuts were a big hit! The dessert was a decor focal point of our wedding and she made us and our guests very happy! We highly recommend Allison for all your bakery needs!

Lake Tahoe Cakes made my wedding cake and they did an amazing job! On rather short notice, about 2 months before my wedding, I reached out to Lake Tahoe Cakes and they were able to accommodate my request. I do not live in the South Lake Tahoe area and all our communication was done over email. Allison was very easy to work with and captured exactly what I was looking for in a cake. I was unable to get up to South Lake for a tasting before my wedding. The first taste of my cake was at my reception and I was extremely happy. The almond cake was light and delicate and the lavender filling was slightly sweet. The cake showed up and it looked exactly as I wanted. I highly recommend Lake Tahoe Cakes for your wedding cake needs!

Everyone has been saying this was the best cake they've had at a wedding. Allison did a wonderful job. The cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted, but it was also really delicious. Her pricing was reasonable too. The sheet cakes were also great. Thanks!

Allison at Lake Tahoe Cakes blew us away with her service. From our tasting (SO FUN and SO GOOD) to stopping by to thank her after the wedding, she was always so full of joy. Her passion for baking really shows. Her professionalism and ease of everything from payment to communication was unparalleled. At our tasting, she prepared trays of cakes, fillings, toppings, etc. and had beverages for us as well. She helped us craft the perfect combination of flavors, assembled the exact picture in my head of what we wanted our cake to look like, made recommendations based on her experiences with our venue, and made the booking process so easy - despite her leaving town the next day for an international trip. She went above and beyond for our tasting, and we will never forget that as one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. I cannot sing enough praise for our wedding cake. It was hands down the best cake I've ever had, and the most beautiful cake I've ever seen. And I'm not the only one that thought so - all night, we received compliments on the presentation of our cake and how tasty it was. Allison, you nailed it. You have a client for life.

My wedding cake and desserts were delicious. I got a 2 tiered round cake and assortment of desserts (mini cupcakes, cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries). They all looked perfect and Allison recommended the right quantity so there was not much waste probably also because it was so yummy!).

The cake was a work of art. Everybody was sad when it was time to cut into the creation, but that feeling vanished as soon as we all had a bite!

Allison created a gorgeous dessert table for our wedding. From the beautiful cake to the delicious macarons, we had many guests approach us about how much they loved the treats! She even helped us put some fun designs on the macarons to give them an extra pop.

Allison is wonderful and her cakes are incredible! She was such a joy to meet during our tasting (her cakes are so delicious, it was really hard to decide on flavors!), and our cake could not have been more perfect. She listened patiently as we went back and forth trying to make a decision; she is so knowledgeable--once she had an idea of what we wanted, she offered suggestions to make it perfect. The cake was a hit at the wedding, too--it was devoured immediately, and my husband and I already look forward to our year anniversary so we can dig into the top tier! Allison also delivered our cake to Gar Woods on the west shore without a hitch. We showed up at the wedding and there was our beautiful cake! She made it so easy for us, and we are very grateful we went with Lake Tahoe Cakes for our wedding day.

Wow! I have never had a better wedding cake in my life and not just because it was mine! Allison did an incredible job! The cake was BEAUTIFUL! Our guests went back for multiple slices because it was so amazing. Allison was a delight to work with and truly a professional. She made us feel like she genuinely cared about our day and making it perfect. Every cake flavor we had was a hit. She has a lot to choose from so we ended up with 4 - champagne cake with strawberry cream and strawberry filling, coconut cake with rum cream and pineapple filling, chocolate cake with chocolate cream and raspberry filling, and a red velvet sheet cake with cream cheese filling – and all of them were beyond amazing! My new sister-in-law got a cake for our nephew’s 2nd birthday the next day (carrot) from Allison and it was also fantastic. I would absolutely recommend Allison for ANY event where cake is involved!
