Ryan was amazing! Professional, flexible, organized, quick to respond to calls and emails, so easy to work with... His planning documents really helped us get our wedding day schedule organized in addition to planning the music. As a DJ he was great, but as an emcee/show runner, he really shined! He was able to keep things on time, read the room, make adjustments when needed, etc. You can't go wrong if you hire Ryan for your wedding or other event needing a DJ. Thanks Ryan!

Dylan was awesome to work with and definitely brought the party! As a wedding planner, it’s so important to have great vendors and Lake Tahoe DJ is definitely one of the best. Dylan works directly with the couple to plan all the music selections, but also coordinates with the planner to create a seamless timeline. Even though we had a rainy day, Dylan still showed up with a positive attitude and made sure the day was fun and perfect for the couple and the guests. I love working with Lake Tahoe DJ and will absolutely recommend them to all my future clients.

Ryan is a class act at what he does. You can truly tell he cares about not only the amazing quality of his work, but also making each couple’s day special and unique. He went above and beyond for us on our wedding day. From coordinating with our live musician, assisting family members feel comfortable with their microphones for the ceremony and speeches, adjusting to last minute changes to assuring the day flowed smoothly. Our family and friends couldn’t stop talking about their wonderful interactions with Ryan. He was truly part of our day. I would highly recommend his services to anyone. Ryan was the best DJ and MC! He worked with us with our specific music/song choices and even worked with our officiant to make sure the mic was working before the ceremony. Very professional! We even had a couple of friends that did not leave the dance floor the whole night because he played all the great music!
Ryan was an AWESOME D.J. He was very attentive to all our song requests and the timings of specific songs for our special dances. Ryan was perfect. He was extremely professional and helped keep the momentum going the entire night! Our wedding party had so much fun. Literally, every one of our guests got on the dance floor at least once. Even the older crowd who don't normally dance let loose. It was such a magical evening and Ryan played the mix perfectly. He was very attentive leading up to the wedding and was always available.
From my husband: Ryan absolutely killed our wedding. Being the MC, he had a big influence on the wedding and with his experience, he gave us a ton of confidence in his abilities and did a fantastic job. We gave him some songs that we liked and Ryan was able to read the dance floor and keep it full and fun. He was VERY accommodating as well. I surprised my wife with a story before the reception that included a song and he kept it a secret and executed it perfectly. We had a schedule of events (like a Greek wedding dance and Anniversary song) throughout the night and we had to change the plan on the fly multiple times and I was able to walk right up to him and explain and he just took it in stride. Weddings are obviously stressful, and it was awesome being able to trust Ryan and know he’s executing perfectly.

Ryan was just fantastic! We had to alter the timeline several times day of due to weather and he rolled with it and was completely professional through it all. His song choices kept the night flowing and his MC skills were phenomenal.
Ryan made our special day SO FUN! EDM music is hugely important to my husband and I, and an integral part to our relationship. So, we had pretty particular and very non-traditional music requests for our ceremony and reception. Ryan played all of our must songs and did such a great job filling in the rest to match our vibe. He was fun and energetic on the mic and was really just such a joy! Oh also - we had to do some last minute shuffling around because of a random gust of rain right before the ceremony (In June! 🤯) and Ryan was flexible and able to make the needed changes easy peasy.
Ryan did an amazing job at our wedding! We hired him as a recommendation of our event planner. I had selected all of my vendors myself prior to that so I was a little hesitant hiring someone I didn't do the research on - boy, am I so glad she recommended him!!! He did phenomenal at all of the announcements, played a ridiculously long list of my song requests, and kept the dance floor poppin! Thank you so much Ryan!

Ryan DJ’d our wedding in September 2022 and he was so attentive to our needs asked all the right questions, kept in touch with us throughout the night to make sure our needs were met. His ability to read the room and keep the party moving/flowing was un matched. We highly recommend Ryan.
We hired Ryan to DJ/MC our August 2022 wedding and he did an amazing job! We had originally planned for July 2020, and through two COVID postponements, he was accommodating, easy to work with and understanding. We were lucky to have a wedding that was relaxed and super fun – and Ryan played a huge role in making that happen. In addition to being pro about keeping the night on schedule with easygoing and zero cheesy wedding DJ vibes, Ryan really knows how to play to a crowd and kept the dance floor popping all night long. We also had some very particular music requests and he was awesome about incorporating those throughout our reception. Ryan DJ'd our May 2022 wedding and he was awesome. He did a great job with everything and was so easy and fun to work with. The sound set up was perfect, he MC'd the whole event and kept us on schedule, and he DJ'd a fun dance party! Our friends and family loved him too!
We had the pleasure of having Dylan DJ our wedding in early May 2022. We had a very small wedding and wanted our guest to be able to request songs on the spot - Dylan was so accommodating! Our dinner was on the 2nd floor and he worked with us so that we could have music at dinner and then at the reception downstairs. He was very go with the flow and put up with my crazy family and friends! Created a great atmosphere for a fun wedding!
Our coordinator recommended Lake Tahoe DJ to us and they made everything so easy. Dylan ended up being our DJ so all we had to do was fill out the reception and ceremony music lists and we were set. I also had been compiling a Spotify playlist of songs our guests requested in their RSVPs as well as songs my hubby and I wanted played so I shared that with him and he used that at the beginning of our ceremony which was nice. He took requests from our guests and played the right songs for the right crowds throughout the night as the younger people stayed out and the older relatives headed home. Dylan was super nice and did a great job setting the mood for our special day.

After quite a bit of research into various DJs in the Lake Tahoe area, we were thrilled to book Ryan for our wedding in July. My husband and I have a very broad taste in music, and that is what Ryan is known for--and rightly so. He clearly understood the vibe we were looking for, and played a mix of various decades, genres, and artists. We had a smaller wedding (less than 50 people) and at every moment throughout the wedding, there were people on the dance floor. Multiple people throughout the wedding commented on the great music. When we had no idea what to do for the closing song, Ryan came up with the best recommendation, which got everyone back on the dance floor singing and dancing--a fantastic finale and way to close out the evening. Beyond the music, he was also very responsive leading up to the wedding and flexible when we had to reschedule due to COVID. Highly recommend!
Ryan was absolutely great! He DJ'd our dinner and reception for our wedding at The West Shore Cafe. He gave such a great vibe during dinner, and even with everything going on I remember turning to him and saying "great song!" The dance party was such a blast too! Jams that got everyone on the dance floor. He was great a announcing the different events of the evening and being an MC. Definitely a great choice and so easy to work with.
Ryan was amazing! From the very beginning he was helpful and responsive... and patient when I had questions. Our guest were dancing all night, and at one point everyone in the room was singing Backstreet Boys at the top of their lungs. In addition to creating a killer playlist, he was also instrumental in helping to ensure that we stuck to our timeline.
We hired Ryan to DJ our wedding reception and were very happy that we did. We had something of an unusual combination of themes, with retro video games and prohibition-era cocktails, and Ryan nailed it. We'd picked out a few songs we knew we wanted played from those themes, and Ryan ran with those and wove in other songs through the night that worked great. Beyond that, the sound quality and lighting were perfect, and Ryan did a great job with the flow of the evening.

Dylan is amazing! We had an eclectic song request list, and a large age range in our guests. Dylan seamlessly transitioned back and forth between Top 40, AC/DC, Catherine Russell, and the Harlem Shake keeping everyone dancing the entire night. It was so fun seeing our parents and aunts and uncles dancing alongside our cousins and friends, this was 100% attributed to Dylan’s awesome DJ skills. Two weeks later we are still talking about how impressed we were with the music that night.
On top of this, Dylan was professional and extremely easy to work with. We would recommend Lake Tahoe DJ to anyone looking for a DJ for their event.

Dylan Thomas was the DJ for our wedding and we couldn't have been more satisfied with his work and professionalism. It was extremely hard for my husband and I to chose a DJ for our big day since we are both in the music industry and both dj ourselves, but not only did Dylan cater exactly to our very eclectic music needs but he was so kind to make a million last minute changes the week leading up to our wedding, and even changes and additions 5 minutes before our reception. He handled everything so well even under so much pressure. Dylan is great at his craft and his flexibility was much appreciated. He made our big day very special!! I would highly recommend him!!!
Dylan was the DJ for my wedding at Gatekeepers Museum in Tahoe City, CA. In a nutshell, he was FABULOUS! Our ceremony and reception were outdoors so we were a little nervous about sound quality, but Dylan made sure everything was perfect. He was easy to work with right from the start. He provided us a list of suggested songs and a ceremony and reception planner. He was very organized and kept us on track the entire night. We provided a list of songs to Dylan that we definitely wanted played and he filled in the rest. The number 1 compliment I get from my guests about the wedding was how great the DJ was. It was the BEST day and BEST dance party ever. I HIGHLY recommend choosing Dylan for your event!
DJ Ryan was wonderful! He's a true professional: detailed, timely, and on top of everything! We loved how planned out he was and creative with his music choices. He's also very fun and did a great job keeping our small wedding going until 11 pm. He is very popular, so please secure your spot as early as possible, we scooped him up 8 months before our wedding after he was highly recommended by our wedding venue.
We worked with Ryan Palmer for our wedding at the West Shore Cafe & Inn in Lake Tahoe and we were very happy with the outcome on the night-of! He came highly recommended by our planner which is why we booked him initially. He was very easy to work with, responsive via email and phone, and always professional. We had a few hiccups on the day-of that were weather related and unavoidable but he did everything he could to ease the stress and work through it for us and our guests. Not only was he professional to work with throughout the planning stages, but he was also super laid back on the wedding day which helped us feel relaxed and have more fun. Our guests LOVED his music and danced the entire evening. We have a lot of people telling us that it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to. Ryan was great at reading the crowd and realized that our crew definitely liked to dance!! He played a perfect mix of what we had asked him to play and what he felt that the crowd enjoyed. He was really great!! Highly recommend!

Ryan made our day spectacular. Getting married at a destination like Tahoe was a dream of ours. But I was very nervous about hiring a dj without meeting them in person and talking about my vision. Ryan was amazing! Be scheduled phone meetings and connected with me via email and immediately put my mind at ease.
He kept our reception super fun by reading the crowd and playing amazing music. Our party lasted all night and most of our guest never left the dance floor. Such a fun night! Thank you again Ryan for creating an amazing night we will never forget!!
Ryan was the DJ for our 10/7/17 GarWoods wedding and made the entire process easy and managed the timing of our day brilliantly. He was flexible with getting our hora together at the last minute to accommodate the photographer, and kept the party going all night long. He fulfilled our requests to keep the wedding very "us" and did so with zero stress on our parts. We had a long list of requests and got most of them by the end of the night. I don't think you can go wrong with Ryan behind the table at your event!
Ryan was such a great addition to our special wedding day event! He asked all the right questions when we had our initial meeting and then stayed in contact with us if we had any questions or further requests! He even guaranteed us that if we did not want any specific person to have the microphone that day he had our backs! Lol. He was easy going and more than willing to go out of his way to make our day amazing! The song selection was perfect and fit our personalities well. We gave him a few songs to go off of and then we gave him full control of the playlist! Which was perfection! He kept the dance floor full and the energy up even to the very last song! He is a must have if you are looking for the best of the best in DJ!!
Ryan was a great addition to our special day. Throughout the planning process, he was very communicative and helpful, and also responded very quickly. On the day of the wedding, Ryan helped to keep the flow smooth and the pace moving. Our only sadness was that he didn't completely stick to our list of "must play" songs and request to limit pop music, but it certainly didn't put a damper on the fun had by all or how packed the dance floor was!
Ryan was the DJ for our wedding at Heavenly Mountain on 8/23/16. I would absolutely refer him! Not only is he a great guy, he is easy to work with, he always responded quickly to my questions/calls and the music was perfect for our big day!
I cannot give enough compliments to Ryan at Lake Tahoe DJ. He was our Dj for our wedding at Valhalla and he is AWESOME! He played exactly the type of music we requested and all of our "must play" songs. Throughout the night, guests kept commenting on how great the music selection was. He also acted as our Master of Ceremony and he kept the evening moving without rushing anything. Our evening of dancing was a great progression of classic dance songs to all the hits and party songs. Ryan absolutely killed it. Not only did he keep the dance floor full the ENTIRE time, he also went above and beyond by helping with coordinating and making sure we were on schedule with our timeline. Everyone from the wedding is still raving about what a great DJ and MC he was. I honestly do not know how the night would have gone so smoothly without him and we are so grateful to have had him as our DJ.
Ryan from Lake Tahoe DJ is awesome. He was able to incorporate all the songs we wanted to hear, and then use his expertise to fill in the rest and keep the dance floor crowded. Even more importantly, he was super fast to respond to email during the planning process, was always incredibly helpful, and during the actual wedding he was incredibly professional and fun the whole night. Initially, my venue event coordinator referred me to Ryan Palmer at Lake Tahoe DJ. When I spoke to Ryan, he got a great read on me and what my preferences were for our big day. He linked me up with Dylan, and wow, what a great match!
Dylan sent us everything we needed to plan our reception and ceremony music. We chose to walk down the aisle to Van Morrison's "Crazy Love," And Dylan even went out of his way to find a beautiful instrumental version that perfectly matched our rustic Tahoe wedding theme, to play as the bridal party was walking down the aisle.
What was amazing about Dylan, too, was that he really knew how to get the party back on track, even when (gasp!) one of our guests flew through the air during my bouquet toss and hurt herself. I can't say enough how critical it was to the entire wedding that Dylan, solely Dylan, was able to get the party re-started at that moment, and we didn't lose any guests to the viewing of the paramedics making sure she was okay!
Dylan took our very unique list of song requests (My husband and I tried to make sure we played songs that resonated with our mothers, fathers, grandparents, and nieces and nephews alike). From crowd pleasers to nostalgic throw-backs, there wasn't a song he didn't play that was on our list.

We were so beyond impressed with our wedding DJ, Ryan Palmer! Planning a destination wedding can be stressful at times, especially when you live across the country, but Ryan made the whole process stress-free and fun. Couldn't be happier! Leading up to our wedding day, he was secretly working with my maid and matron of honor to surprise us with a musical toast that blew us away. It was fantastic, and they said it wouldn't have happened without Ryan's flexibility and cooperation. We worked with Ryan,and he was amazing throughout the entire process! We couldn't have been happier. We only met with him one time before the wedding and that was all we needed. His flexibility, attention to detail, and relaxed attitude during planning, was really wonderful, as we knew he had everything taken care of and planned from the get-go. Ryan Palmer is the owner of Lake Tahoe DJ, he communicated with us swiftly and professionally. His partner, Dylan Thomas, was the DJ for our wedding. He did a wonderful job MCing and keeping the party going! When we first met with him, he was very well organized and personable. He gave us a workbook that outlined all the music for the reception as far as specific songs we wanted played for special dances/bouquet toss/etc and genres/songs that we did or did not want played. He also did not charge us to set up or take down and had no excess fee on top of his hourly rate for if the wedding went over 4 hours. Overall, we were very impressed with his professionalism, friendliness, organization, and DJing skills.
Lake Tahoe DJ, specifically DJ Dylan, was amazing! He communicated with us ahead of time, played all of our requests, took care of our outdoor ceremony/in door party needs, and always acted professionally and friendly (our guests are still raving about him!). I love the energy that Dylan added to our wedding and I appreciate all of his work. Derek is his name and he is awesome. He was so friendly to work with and did a wonderful job and keeping the evening flowing. Everything went as according to plan and his music selection is great, as he knows exactly what songs to play to keep everyone dancing and having a good time. He is also just a really nice guy and was always there to assist myself and my groom, whether it was giving the groom a prep talk before our first dance or bringing us a drink when he could tell we wanted one. The wedding was perfect and I believe that was in large part due to how awesome Derek did!
Ryan provided the music for my ceremony and reception and was great. Especially for getting us all on the dance floor. So much fun!!
We were so happy in having Ryan as our DJ! We met with him only one time before our wedding, and communicated via email and phone the other times. He was also responsive and very helpful in figuring out how to make the night go smoothly. He was very laid back, which we loved and made us feel like we didn't have to worry about anything the night of - which we didn't! He kept things running smoothly and played great music all night long. We ended up paying to have an extra set up inside (we had dinner inside, ceremony/cocktail hour/dancing outside), which I'm not sure we needed. Overall, we were so happy - we liked that he kept the party going, but stayed off the mike. Highly recommend!
Ryan Palmer is definitely the DJ to have at your wedding! Not only is he easy to work with, but he listens to all of your requests/suggestions and incorporates them seamlessly throughout the night. We did not have a wedding coordinator, but we didn't need one since Ryan was there. We gave him a timeline and even though it didn't always go as planned (due to guests continuously grabbing you to talk to, etc.) he was great at adjusting the timeline and going with the flow! Also, our dance floor was PACKED the whole night, which is exactly what my husband and I wanted! We couldn't ask for a better DJ for our wedding!!!!
Ryan was a perfect fit for our Lake Tahoe wedding. Leading up to our big day, he worked endlessly with us to make sure we were getting everything we wanted. He made sure everything was perfect, and even set up a slideshow for us for no extra charge. He was a perfect host for the evening-was not obnoxious...like a lot of DJs are!! He played great music, and even played an extra hour because we weren't ready for the party to end :)
Ryan is awesome!!! He catered to my every need at no additional cost! Everyone at our wedding was on the dance floor...young & old. That is always a good sign!
