Lake Wissota Golf & Events

Our entire experience was amazing. The venue was gorgeous and the 1/2 room was the perfect size for our party (94 guests). This is a kid friendly place, and kids of all ages had room to run outside, play by the brook, and dance; every guest had an awesome time. The coordinator and staff were extremely professional, the lakeside reception was gorgeous (though we had a very windy day!) the bar service was fast and professional, and the food was delicious. We loved that we could customize every part of the day. I highly recommend attending the bridal show because the vendors and food tasting helped us decide a lot of the details for the day. If you want an easy wedding day and a place that will work with you and help you have very low stress, you cannot beat Lake Wissota Golf and Events. We are so happy we chose this venue and our guest from all over the country were extremely impressed with the amenities, staff, beauty, and food.

Our December wedding at Lake Wissota Golf and Events exceeded all of my wedding expectations. We were initially worried about finding a large enough space for our event in the Chippewa Falls area but the Golf Course comfortably accomdated our 290 guests. The food was amazing (highly recommend the chef carved prime rib and scalloped potatoes), the bar was well stocked and the bar tenders were professional and mixed great drinks. Finally, Carolyn, the wedding/event planner, is an incredible asset to Lake Wissota Golf and Events. She professionally coordinated our event with all vendors, made sure the bridal party was taken care of, and solved any problems that came up kindly, effectively and efficiently. I am so happy we chose this space for our event and have no problems 100% recommending it to anyone who asks.

I could not have picked a better venue for my wedding. Working with Shannon and the staff was the best experience I've had with wedding planning. The day before the wedding it rained & continued to rain into the next day. Shannon was able to talk us through an inside ceremony & it turned out wonderful. I would not have changed a single thing!

We had a wonderful experience with Lake Wissota for our reception. Food was amazing and the staff there was very easy to work with. The lady in charge, Shannon, was especially easy to work with and allowed us tons of flexability. The venue was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better venue and people to help us celebrate our day.

We got married on New Year's Eve and had a FANTASTIC time celebrating at Lake Wissota. We booked the venue about a year in advance and Shannon was wonderful to work with! We had plenty of time to set up the venue on Friday and clean up on Sunday. We all got ready (hair/makeup/clothes) in the lower level of the venue, took pictures at the venue. Our guests raved about the food and the location! Two tips for future brides: ask for an extra bartender (they seemed a little overwhelmed right away when all the guests arrived) and get a shuttle bus service to transport guests back to their hotel that night -- that way everyone can have a few more drinks and a little extra fun :) THANK YOU, LWG, for a day we will remember forever!

I absolutely LOVED the venue! The beautiful white building with wrap around porch is gorgeous! It's right next to the lake which gives it even more natural beauty... It really gives the country club a soft, elegant feel. The service was good... we had a large guest count and I don't think they had enough staff working, but the night went smooth with no major issues.

The two best things that I'd say I enjoyed about having my wedding reception at the Lake Wissota golf course were the view of the lake and all the work done by the wedding coordinator. She did a spectacular job, Angela, especially because I was not the most organized person to work with. She worked with all the other vendors to make sure it all went smoothly and I didn't have to worry about any of it. If you'd like to see the view, google maps it from above and see that it is a gorgeous green space surrounded on 3 sides by the lake (which looks amazing at sunset). Not only this, but there is a wraparound porch so you can see it rain or shine. I did all my wedding photos there and loved it.

the food was delicious. the service staff was great. however, the office venue coordinator changed mid-wedding planning and there wasnt any documentation of the things we had already discussed and picked for the wedding. it was a hassle to re do and have to meet all over again and discuss.
