I became very worried when I saw Taylor wearing an OSU hat (typically that is indicative of a lower than average IQ)... but she is a winner, unlike their football team and every other OSU alum I have ever interacted with. I like Taylor almost as much as I hate OSU. Go Blue.

We also had floral from Laki and it was SO helpful to have everything under one roof. They even offered to store our items prior to the day and helped make sure our day-of went of without a single hitch.

Jacklyn was my contact and made everything so easy on us. She was very responsive to all our questions and never went a day without answering even our most trivial questions. Once we booked our vendors, we gave her the information and she handled absolutely everything from there. She set up our timeline from start to finish of the day. She and her team made my wedding day so enjoyable and took on all responsibilities of communicating with vendors, setting EVERYTHING up, and taking everything down and placing it in our room at the end of the night. I didn’t have a single worry the day of the wedding.

. I made one more appointment and met with Evin. From our first zoom, I knew immediately that Evin was someone I wanted to work with on our wedding. We had a pretty quick engagement (August to February), but Evin was absolutely incredible to work with. Even though we only chose the 90 day package, she made herself available to answer any questions that I had throughout the whole planning process and even came to a tasting that was not part of the agreed upon services. Evin anticipated our needs and provided ideas and suggestions of things that we hadn't even thought of. I always looked forward to my calls with Evin because she was a true partner in the planning process and made it fun & stress free. Later on the planning process, Taylor was brought in as well and I can't thank both of them enough for all of the hard work & organization that they provided to make our wedding completely stress free. When hiring a planner, my goal was that in doing so, my husband and our families and bridal party would truly be able to enjoy the day. Evin & Taylor accomplished that ten fold. There is so much work that goes on behind the scenes that a planner is in charge of and they made it seem truly effortless. If you're on the fence about hiring a planner, or considering Laki, I cannot recommend them enough!

ouple and what exactly we were looking for in our wedding. We felt like it was so easy to work with her - she knew exactly what we were hoping for, exactly what we were envisioning. It can be difficult to fully explain your vision for such an important day, but Evin was able to interpret the emotion, vibe, and energy that we wanted and make excellent suggestions for us. Her advice was always something like: "Here's what I think you're looking for, and this is how I think we can accomplish it." For example, we were unsure of whether we should do a sweetheart table or sit with our whole wedding party for the reception. Evin, taking into consideration the size of the event, the level of formality we desired, and the layout of the venue, advised us that a sweetheart table would be the better option for us, so that we could better interact with all our guests, and provide a better level of visual symmetry in the space. This turned out to be a great call - having our sweetheart table in the center of the space created a great flow throughout the evening, as our guests could come up to us and we could easily make our rounds. This is just one example of MANY. Evin was also able to refer us to other vendors that were a great fit for us based on our personalities and values! Furthermore, Evin was there to support us emotionally as well. We found out very late in the planning that my father-in-law would not be able to come due to serious health concerns, which was of course devastating to us. Evin heard us, empathized with our pain, and was able to guide us back to a place of excitement and joy, reminding us of our strengths as a couple and refocusing us on the true purpose of our wedding. I don't know if this is just part of the job for a wedding planner, and quite frankly, I don't care - I am just extremely grateful that we had Evin in our corner, and I could not imagine doing this with anyone else. In the months after our wedding, all we've been able to talk about was how perfect the day was, how much fun we had, and how it was exactly what we'd hoped and prayed for. Evin was an integral part of what made our wedding so incredible. Lest I forget, we also used Laki Events for our florals. Once again, we were blown away by their intuitiveness and ability to translate our vague ideas and emotions into a physical reality. They were able to capture the formal, sublime winter aesthetic perfectly, with deep greens, brilliant whites and soft blushes to create an austere, pristine environment inside the banquet hall. It was exactly what we had envisioned, and we couldn't have been happier. Quite simply, we were exuberant. Evin, and everyone at Laki Events + Design, will always hold a special place in our hearts and we are so grateful to them. You will not be disappointed!!

stressed and wasn't sure whether I wanted to give up control. But when I offloaded the work to Evin, I felt like a boulder was lifted. Evin immediately took the reins and made sure the month-of process was seamless and worry-free. Not only did she bring her wedding knowledge and experience, she was also easy to talk to, flexible, and accommodating. She's also very detailed and reliable - one example of this is I didn't even notice I ordered the wrong chairs for the ceremony, but she corrected this right away. Even the smallest mishaps (that are bound to happen in any large event!), like the shuttle missing a stop or my veil falling off pre-ceremony, Evin was so on top of it that I felt completely at ease knowing she was there. Finally, I really appreciate their eye for design. I had a backyard wedding, and to save on costs, I had real flowers, fake flowers, garlands, and a bunch of randomly sized candles. Both Evin and Gabi decorated the whole event. It was so beautiful - it really blew my expectations out of the water. I got so many compliments from the guests. I highly recommend hiring Laki and would do it again if I could.

Lara and Brooke were an absolute pleasure to work with every step of the way - they are professional, detail oriented and creative - everything you could want in an event planner. They thought of absolutely everything, they solved problems before they happened and anticipated my every need as the bride. On top of everything else Brook and Lara are two of the kindest, most genuine women - they are so sweet and so fun to be around! Our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect and so much of that was thanks to Lara and Brooke. If you are a bride-to-be planning a wedding (or any event, for that matter) you MUST call Laki Events and Design - they are simply the BEST.

we ended up having LAKI Events as our planners. From the first stages of planning to the day of Evin and Lara were instrumental in making it a smooth and amazing day. They created a perfect and smooth day where we did not have to worry about anything other than smiling for the photos! We are incredibly grateful for all of their assistance and the work they did behind the scenes to allow us to spend more time with our loved ones during the day. Their ability to accommodate our special requests/needs due to this being a wedding planned from a significant distance was truly impressive. siting my venue the day that they were setting up another wedding (in April 2021). I got to see them bring my venue to life and it honestly had me SOLD right away - on both the venue and using Laki!!! I met Brooke, the team lead for that wedding, and I told her I was only in town for a few days, and asked if she had time to have a meeting with me. She was kind enough to fit me into her busy schedule, and made me feel SO CALM and mellow about the entire planning process. I knew I wanted to go with Laki right away, and had a meeting set up with Lara, the owner, via Zoom. Lara was WONDERFUL!!! She was so easy to work with over the phone and Zoom - which is extremely important for a destination bride because it’s already so difficult being far away. I decided to plan my wedding in October of 2021, so we already were on a time crunch. Lara gave me such great recommendations. She even went to see samples for me, and face-timed me so we could pick things out together (such as linens and the kind of flatware/dishes I wanted). Another positive is that Lara has a second part of the business and also does the floral, so I she was able to bring my full vision to life on both ends of the spectrum! Lara helped me book vendors, rentals, and bring everything in. She also assigned Brooke to my wedding as the Team Lead since I loved her so much! When I saw the venue on my big day, I was just blown away with how everything came to life! Exactly what I envisioned. The details were just unbelievable, and the flowers were amazing. Lara, Brooke, Gina, and team - thank you SO MUCH for my absolutely PERFECT day!!! I truly could not have pulled this off without you amazing ladies!!! Everyone at home on the east coast is still talking about the wedding to this day - so you know it was an overall hit! Thank you again Laki!!!! <3
