If you’re looking for a wedding florist, I highly recommend Moya. He delivered beyond expectations for my wedding on 9/9/23. Moya understood my vision right away. He was able to work within my budget to give me the wedding flowers I always envisioned. He attended my wedding walkthrough three months before my wedding and was very helpful at explaining how he would arrange flowers at the various ceremony sites as well as the reception. My ceremony flowers were unbelievable. Moya stuck each individual rose into the ground lining the aisle and the arbor was just as beautiful. I had compliments from everyone including our wedding vendors and the owner of the venue. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected rain storm right before my ceremony. I could see Moya from the bridal suite, he stayed out in the rain and adjusted the flowers after each wind gust. My dad even made a comment about how hard he was working to keep everything perfect. I was heartbroken when I had to move my ceremony inside, but Moya was able to decorate the indoor ceremony space quickly and beautifully. His experience, creative ability, and attention to detail make him an excellent florist. I’ll be sure to update this post with more photos once I have them!

Moya is a true artist!! I came to him with a few inspiration photos and very little certainty about what I wanted. He asked all the right questions and put together a standout proposal that checked all my boxes! On the wedding day, Moya and his team were prompt and created beautiful displays that our guests raved about! I loved my bouquet so much I took it with me on my minimoon. He also was very flexible and worked with us to fit beautiful flowers into our somewhat tight budget. Moya was fantastic to work with from start to finish! I had a strict florals budget, and I was trying to get a lot of bang for my buck, and Moya provided it. He creates gorgeous pieces whether it's a giant floral arch or small bud vases like he did for us. Moya worked with us to get the costs down while still creating beautiful bouquets and centerpieces. He even let me change my mind on the designs a few months before the wedding. Usually it's such a struggle to get everyone to take flowers at the end of the night, but ALL of the flowers were taken by my guests and even vendors. Lal Moya was wonderful from beginning to end! Very responsive and was patient when I explained my specific vision for my bridesmaid’s flowers and they absolutely delivered! The bouquets and also the floral decorations on our ceremony tree and on the reception tables were absolutely beautiful and well executed. I am drying my bouquet to keep as decoration! Moya was Amazing! He was the only vendor I did not have to worry about because he made me feel at peace. He worked with my budget and make me feel special. It rained the ENTIRE day of my wedding and he was able to improvise. He was efficient and accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend him.

My husband and I were referred to Lal Moya Weddings & Events from our wedding venue and we have been amazed by their work! Moya really put an effort in decorating our wedding ceremony site and reception hall starting from the bouquets to arbor to the centerpieces. He incorporated our vision and accommodated last minute requests, even provided helpful suggestions. His team even surprised us with the the floral combinations which we took back to beautify our family house!!! His creativity is over the top! Highly recommend for any types of events :)

Lal Moya did a wonderful job with our flowers. He was able to stay on budget, make beautiful flower arrangements, and listened to all my needs! My husband and I started our wedding planning process in 2019. We were one of the couples who did a micro wedding in 2020 (at a different location) and rescheduled our big party twice - once in 2021 and finally had the chance to have our party in 2022. Lal Moya did my bouquet & boutonniere for my 2020 wedding and all my flowers for our 2022 wedding. Once we got our final guest count, he asked if we could make bigger arrangements with less tables and it looked beautiful! Everyone loved our flowers and we can’t recommend him enough! I plan on keeping my bridal bouquet so I have it hung in our dining room forever!

They are so professional, attentive, and incredible at what they do. Moya was an absolute joy and pleasure to work with from beginning to end, answering all of my questions and being extremely flexible with my requests and concerns. For example, we wanted to use our centerpieces to double them as floral arrangements that would line our ceremony aisle as a way to save money and re-use the arrangements from the ceremony straight into reception. Moya was so professional and understanding and made that happen for us. Moya and his team will truly make your vision come to life. Somehow he knew the style and look I was going for based off of a few photos I provided and exceeded our expectations without going over our budget. He gave us so many options and expert recommendations to work with us and with our budget. I HIGHLY recommend Moya and his team. They are a dream and I would book them over and over again for any future floral needs.

Moya knocked it out of the park on our wedding flowers. He was easy to work with, transparent, and super flexible. If you ask for it, Moya can create it. We sent Moya a few ideas and he executed, adding his own flair in the small touches. We also decided we wanted a boxwood wall in addition to our flowers at the last minute, and Moya was quick to accommodate. He was able to beat the hotel’s vendor on price by over 30%. We did a lot of research before choosing Moya. One of our concerns was that his lower prices vs the “big DC vendors” would mean lower quality, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Moya is a genuinely good person, which makes him easy and fun to work with. Even when things got challenging from moving the wedding back due to COVID, Moya made it an easy and low stress experience and had fresh beautiful flowers there when we needed them. If you’re getting married in the DC area, Moya is a great choice.

I couldn't have been happier with the flowers from Lal Moya! He was incredibly patient as I made several changes a few months before the wedding. The flowers that he made were exactly what I envisioned. He provided all of the setup for the flowers and everything was so seamless. I highly recommend!

Moya turned out to be one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!! I chose a unique color scheme and he took my ideas and turned them into the most beautiful floral arrangements. I was so delighted when I saw my bouquet in the morning and when I walked into my reception hall, the decorations absolutely took my breath away!! I wasn’t even sure what I wanted I gave Moya a bunch of inspiration and photos and switched things up multiple times, he was responsive, friendly, and most importantly TALENTED. He created floral pieces that exceeded my expectations and were even more lovely than anything I could find online. I most loved how he worked with my budget to create my dream vision and was flexible down to the last week of the event. He set up my arch draping after a last minute request a few days before my event. I would work with him again in a heartbeat. I used LalMoya for my wedding reception in the end of July and the flowers were beautiful! They also did draping at the entrance which tied all of the decorations together. Originally we were going to do draping over the beams of the barn venue we used, but when LalMoya realized the beams were too high and far apart to do the draping, they were able to quickly come up with another plan that ended up being just as gorgeous - which was the draping at the entrance. Also, when they came to scope out the venue during the days prior to the event, they came up with a great idea of putting greenery around the pillars in the barn, which looked amazing.

Moya is amazing! He was so flexible and easy to work with (given that we had to reschedule our wedding 4 times). He was always available whenever I could have possibly needed for a call or texting back and forth. He is such a professional and true to his word. He made our vision come alive and did an absolutely spectacular job with our bouquets, center pieces, boutonnieres, corsages, archway, and decorations for our cake.

Moya is a true visionary and an artist. He truly takes the time to understand your vision and will make sure it's executed to perfection. Going into our wedding planning, we had a very particular concept of what we were looking for and Moya delivered it above and beyond. While our venue was naturally beautiful, Moya's arrangements elevated the entire venue. He added big and little details for the areas of the cocktails and reception. Compliments are still flowing in of the sweetheart table he created. Shall I also say, I was balling my eyes out when I saw his creation on my big day because it was that beautiful. Moya was so responsive and helpful from the very beginning. Despite changing our wedding date due to covid, Moya was flexible and helpful throughout the process. When you hire a vendor for your wedding you do so putting so much trust in their vision & that they understand yours. We hired Moya and his team to do the flowers at our wedding when the original plans of going to Mexico was not going to happen so with four months to plan we hired Moya to provide flowers for our backyard wedding. He came to visit my parents house to get a feel of what flowers we needed for decor and had such great ideas. Flowers for our wedding was extremely important to me and we instantly hit it off. I completely trusted his vision and he completely understood what mine was. He far exceeded my wildest dreams with the flowers. You have to hire Moya and his team. They arrived early for set up and even came back at the end of the ceremony for take down. You will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

Moya really made our wedding so special and beautiful!! Moya was great to work with from the start. Super friendly and helpful from the first time we met. We gave him a general idea of what we wanted and he was able to take care of the rest and offer suggestions on what else we could do. His flowers were amazing and his arrangements were beautiful! We got plenty of compliments, and the venue owner mentioned his arrangements were some of the best she'd seen. Moya did the most AMAZING job on our wedding flowers. Everything was spectacular and we could not have asked for anything more. Moya is warm and kind, very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the wedding planning process. He understood the vision I had in mind and made tweaks and suggestions that took it to the next level. Our flowers were perfection, I would recommend him without hesitation!

As far as bang for your buck, it doesn’t get better than LAL MOYA. The quality and quantity for the price he offers is astonishing. Not to mention how exceptional his customer service skills are. Truly a pleasure to work with.

Moya is so professional and kind. He sticks to any budget and truly cares about making your special day perfect! Moya is a young up-and-coming professional. He works out of the basement of his home, which at first, was intimidating. After seeing his office, it was very clean and stylish! He came prepared to our first meeting with the necessary printed documents and ideas for my wedding. He was flexible on pricing and packaging which is ultimately why I chose him (I didn't see the point spending a lot of money on something we could only use one day, like real flowers, so my budget wasn't very large for flowers). Moya sent many updates, was always quick to respond, and was super cute leading up to our wedding day by sending me bubbly e-mails saying "I'm in love with your bouquet!" Obviously I couldn't wait to see his designs. Our contract had Moya arriving at 12:30 PM. He didn't arrive until almost 3PM. Honestly... that's appalling. This looked bad on me because everyone thought I told him the wrong time. In addition, we had agreed in our e-mails that he would help set up centerpieces and other decor, but he argued with my day-of coordinator saying we had not discussed this... once again this makes me look awful. I'm not sure where we went wrong. I'm disappointed because this added a lot of stress on my wedding day. I had 3 bridesmaids running around setting everything up because the day-of coordinator, the caterer, and my florist were not performing the duties they had agreed to. Maybe, if he had showed up when contracted, he would have had time to assist and maybe he wouldn't have argued about doing it. I'm so so disappointed by these details because I had such high hopes for him. Ultimately, the designs were beautiful and the day came together... but if you're going to hire Moya, expect some obstacles.

Amazing florist! Got the opportunity to use Moya and his team for our wedding, all I can say is that he is truly awesome. He is extremely easy to work with and very professional. Easy 5 stars for me hands down!!

Moya did a phenomenal job with our flowers. Throughout the process he was very responsive, helpful, and flexible. About three months before the wedding, I changed the colors that I wanted him to use, he was very accommodating helping me to figure out which colors would work well and providing me multiple examples so that I knew exactly what he was thinking. On the day of the wedding, the flowers looked gorgeous. He had crafted some arrangements that were above and beyond anything we had discussed. Given his flexibility and quality, you would expect that he would be charging much more, but his rates are extremely affordable. Moya is also just an extremely kind and hard working person and you can tell that he finds a ton of joy in designing and creating floral arrangements.

Moya is so easy to work with. He’s very flexible and listens to your ideas and makes them come to life. He did an amazing job on my bouquets and the centerpieces. I had a complicated theme, cherry blossoms, and he did his very best to work with me into making everything look beautiful! Communication was easy and I wasn’t afraid to keep sending him photos of my ideas. I received multiple compliments on my bouquet and centerpieces! And his prices are very reasonable! Moya was amazing. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted, I just had a color scheme picked out and didn’t want anything to large. He did amazing! My flowers were exactly what I would’ve picked out. My husband and I hired Moya to do our personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, flower crown for the flower girl & a flower comb for me!) for our August 2018 wedding at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore, MD. Well I was initially tentative to use Thumbtack to hire Moya (I had never used the platform before), I quickly got over that silly notion when I realized how amazingly talented he is and how fairly priced his services are. Throughout the entire process, Moya was easy to work with, quick via email (we only ever used email to communicate!) and seemed really excited about our floral vision (colorful, seasonal and rustic!) even though our order was on the smaller side. He never made me feel any less important than the other projects/brides he was working with, which is not typical in this industry! On the day of the wedding, my florals arrived fresh and on-time. They totally blew me away at how high-quality and gorgeous they were! My vision truly came to life thanks to Moya! I loved my bouquet and am currently drying it as a keepsake. I also loved my floral comb that Moya made for me — it was so special and made me feel like the most beautiful bride. Moya, thank you so much — you are so talented! Everyone else, hire this man!
