LaLa Custom Cake

The cake Leah made for us looked and tasted amazing! We ordered a custom Japanese taiko drum-shaped cake. We had a few people tell us they weren't sure if it was a real drum or not and we almost had a kid hit it thinking it was a drum 😂 And the flavors were great. We finished it off in just a few days. Really nice work! Thank you!

Best cupcakes ever!!! We purchased 100 cupcakes for our wedding last month. And I can’t even count how many people told us they were the best cupcakes they’ve ever had! We purchased more than we thought we would need and they were gone by the end of the night! My husband and I were sad we didn’t get to take any home after the wedding so I just placed an order of our wedding flavors to enjoy ourselves

They did such a beautiful job! We went with a 6-inch cutting cake, and several cupcake flavors. Everything was DELICIOUS and so beautiful!!! I really appreciated all of their flexibility, as we were still figuring out some minor details at the last minute. Our party also included those with dietary restrictions, and their dairy/gluten free cupcakes were a huge hit!! We are already looking forward to our anniversary cake! I'll definitely be keeping them in mind for future events!

Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect. It looked breathtaking and tasted the same. Our guests were very impressed with it and we were, too. The cupcakes you try at tastings are good, but don’t do the final product justice. If you live anywhere near the Cleveland, Ohio area, LaLa Custom cake is a no brainer in my opinion. Nothing but a positive experience from first consultation to the day of.

We loved working with LaLa! They did a incredible job with our 150 cupcakes and token cake for our Sunday October wedding! They even delivered to our venue in Medina the day of on the busiest weekend of the year for them! Leah is truly awesome and their cupcakes are superior!

We ordered 150 Halloween themed cupcakes for our daughter’s wedding the cupcakes were decorated just as we asked. They tasted so good! The staff listened to us and worked with us to make sure we could pick up our cupcakes the morning of the wedding. Everything was perfect!

We loved LaLa Custom cake! We got a smaller cake for us newly weds and multiple cupcakes of 4 different flavours for our guests. We kept the cake to ourselves to eat again for our 1-year anniversary. All the desserts were absolutely phenomenal and so delicious. If you like flavours that are outside the box and cakes/cupcakes that taste very rich, instead of overwhelmingly sweet, you need to check out LaLa Custom Cakes 😋 Ps: I am 100% certain that our cake will not last until our 1 year anniversary because it is so good!

My new husband and I were very pleased with the cake and the service I didn't contact them until about 2 months before the wedding but they were available I asked to change the delivery time I at the last minute and they accommodated me The cake cake was beautiful and very good I would absolutely recommend them and use them again.

This was a no brainer for us as we wanted to support local. Leah was so easy to work with and truly crafted a perfect cake. We gave her little direction and she nailed it. Not only that but we had a two tiered cake and then one a half sheet cakes, so 4 flavors in total, and it was all so good. The guests loved it!

We had a great experience working with Leah and her team for our reception cake (we got married in Scotland and held a separate party/reception here in CLE a month later). Starting with the initial consultation, she was easy to work with, responded quickly to our questions and confirmed what was needed and when from us (as we were going to be out of the country for two weeks for the wedding). The cake arrived early and looked beautiful on the day of our reception--exactly what we asked for and wanted! The cake itself was AMAZING! We had three layers (all different flavors) and people raved about how good it was. I'm a pumpkin fan (and our reception was in November), so the cake included a layer of pumpkin with cream cheese frosting. Best pumpkin cake I've ever had--and the same was shared by more than a couple guests! Our "as chocolate as you can make it" layer was also a big hit! Would highly recommend LaLa Custom Cake!

Lala custom cakes was very punctual! They were there once we had access to our venue. They set up our sweets beautifully. Everyone enjoyed the macarons the most I would say, but the cupcakes, brownies, and lemon bars were all perfect too! The vegan and GF chocolate cupcakes were a huge hit as well. Can’t wait to order again!

LaLa Custom Cake is amazing! The small cake and cupcakes they made for my daughter’s wedding we’re delicious and beautiful. They were friendly and easy to work with. We absolutely loved our experience working with La La. From the attentive tastings to the communication along the way, service was excellent. My husband and I had the best experience with Lala Custom Cake! This was our 4th and final bakery we tried for our wedding cake. They were very professional and friendly when it came to choosing the flavors for our mini cupcakes and deciding on a design for our cake. Must importantly the cake was DELICIOUS!!

LaLa Custom Cake's was very easy to work with! Leah and the team were very professional, accommodating, and responsive! They had a variety of different flavors, compotes, whip creams, fruit, etc. Our cake had many layers with two different types of cakes/flavors. She alternated layers with one being chocolate cake with raspberry compote, and the other layer was a fresh strawberry cake. The cake was the most delicious wedding cake I have ever had, and many guests said the same thing! The cake decorating turned out beautifully! I would highly recommend LaLa Cakes for your wedding day!

We went through LaLa cakes for our personal wedding cake. Our wedding cake was awesome! Design, completed product, and taste were all superb. Leah is a rockstar and a professional. Super easy and pleasant to work with letting us make decisions, but also had the expertise, vision, and guidance we were looking for to keep us on track. Pricing was solid and she even hooked us up with extra vegan cupcakes for our vegan guests even though we went with a different vendor for cupcakes. Very, very satisfied.

So easy to work with. So. easy. We gave her creative freedom to do whatever she wanted, just gave her our colors and styles we liked, and she did an absolutely amazing job. We were so indifferent about our cake (honestly, it just wasn't that important to us), but she STILL absolutely rocked it.

Lala is amazing, and I'm so glad we chose them for our wedding cake! Leah was so kind and helpful throughout the process, and created exactly what we were looking for. The entire cake was gluten free since my husband has celiac, and it tasted amazing. We had multiple layers, with the lemon and blueberry compote for one layer, and the mocha and mixed berry compote for another. Everyone loved it and almost the entire cake was gone by the end of the reception, with one piece left for us to take home. I absolutely recommend Leah and Lala Custom Cake and would 100% use them again.

Leah is super nice and gave us exactly what we wanted! Also we originally planned on picking up our cake but last minute decided we needed it delivered (our venue was like 1-2 hours from the shop) and she worked it out to do that for us, I can’t tell you how happy that makes a stressed bride! Leah did an amazing job! She was so accommodating to our schedule for meetings, as we live out of town. Our cake was beautiful and the cupcakes were delicious. We were also able to order gluten free cupcakes, which were a hit! Her team also did a great job of displaying them beautifully.

Dreams are made of their cupcakes. We received multiple compliments from our wedding guests. The caramel apple flavor were the perfect fall surprise. The shop is adorable and Leah was wonderful to work with!

I got my wedding cake here and described a Victorian themed cake with a few elements I had to have on it such as "pearls". She executed the design of the cake perfectly, it tasted AMAZING, and it was gorgeous! We did two tiers with a lemon/blueberry and the top was pink champagne. I am so happy we got our wedding cake here!

Leah is certainly the most talented person I know when it comes to cake decorating and individual pastries. We had a masquerade wedding for our daughter which was a challenge all around. Leah created the cake with a mask and flowers on it. We also had lemon blueberry and caramel apple cupcakes. Pumpkin pie tarts, mini key lime cheesecakes, blackberry heart pies and raspberry pear linzer cookies were created for the desert table. Everyone was amazed and everything was delicious. Leah is easy to talk with and is great when it comes to answering emails or phone calls. A true artist when it comes to decorating. We were more than pleased with her ability to create these small wonders. Thank you Leah from all of us. The desert table was all I had hoped it to be and you had a big part in making that happen.

Leah was such a dream to work with. After tasting the cake she made for my sister-in-law's wedding, I knew she had to make the desserts for wedding just a few months later. My husband and I selected a vegan and gluten free chocolate cake to accommodate a number of dietary restrictions for our guests and people raved about how delicious it was not knowing it was made with limited ingredients! Leah was also wonderful and allowed me to make a last minute addition of a small 4" cake for my MOH and her husband who were celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary on our wedding night. It was a lovely red velvet cake with gold leaf and looked fabulous. The pricing was very competitive and the final product looked exactly as we discussed. I would definitely recommend La La Cakes!

I’m so happy the we chose Lala for our wedding cake. Leah was awesome to work with and made the experience so stress free. Plus, our guests kept telling us how amazing the cake tasted (I highly recommend the caramel raspberry!). I highly recommend Lala for anyone getting married in the Cleveland area.

Easiest place to deal with regarding a stressful wedding, wished I had found Lala Custom a long time ago. Leah is so sweet and nice, the cake tasted amazing, we were able to get a little creative with some ideas at a very affordable price. Too bad getting married is usually a one time deal, I'd go to her every single time!!

Leah is the absolute best. She takes a small idea and makes it into the creation of your dreams. Her flavors are unbelievable. She is so kind and patient and tries to really understand her clients goals. We used LaLa for our wedding cake and cupcakes and everyone raved about them. We had tastings at other places and they just couldn’t even compare. She is so incredibly reasonably priced and the quality is unmatched. My mother in law is a dessert queen and VERY particular about her buttercream and Leah passed the test with flying colors. I would recommend Leah to anyone have any special event, big or small. We live in Chicago and every time we’re in town we swing by LaLa to pick up some of her most recent, delicious creations.

Not only are the cupcakes and cake delicious but Leah was so awesome to work with for our wedding! Our guests said it was the best wedding cake they ever had. Anytime we are in Lakewood we make it a point to stop in and try a few different flavors of cupcakes, along with our personal favorite - LIME!

We ended up at LaLa because they had done a great job with our friends’ wedding, and they did not disappoint! They were very easy to work with and the cupcakes were delicious - especially the key lime ones.

She did such an amazing job! We had a single tier cutting cake and three flavors of cupcakes and it was all such a huge hit! Our cake was beautiful and delicious and so were all of our cupcakes. Additionally, Leah was so warm, incredibly responsive and we really felt like she was truly listening to what we were saying about overall feel of our wedding. I think we've found our favorite baker for years to come!

Leah of LaLa Custom Cakes was so amazing to work with! She is very friendly and easy to talk to, was flexible with times to meet in the shop and go over flavors and decoration options, and quickly answered any questions I emailed her. Our wedding day weather kept changing last minute and she was great with reassuring us that our cake would be delivered at a safe time to non-air conditioned reception venue. The wedding cake itself was really beautiful and exactly the elegant and simply design we wanted. Each tier was a different flavor and they were all delicious- many of our wedding guests asked for the name of the bakery and my husband's grandmother (a touch cake critic) especially loved the mocha chocolate cake! I would highly recommend LaLa for your wedding cake needs!!

Lala Custom Cake was phenomenal in the planning process of our wedding! The cupcakes were amazing, our tasting covered every flavor that we could have imagined, and our order process went so smoothly. Everything that we asked for was taken care of and it really took the load off of me to make sure that nothing fell through. Leah even had scute signs to identify all the flavors, which by the way, were DELICIOUS! We left the wedding that night with only one cupcake left! The delivery was perfectly on time and the display way beautiful. 10/10 would recommend!

LaLa Custom Cakes is such a cute place! Leah was very genuine and helpful. She answered all of our questions along the way. What I liked most about using this cake place was the unique flavors they offered. For our wedding we wanted to do something different! We had a naked cake made with vanilla maple and a sheet cake made of carrot cake. The flavors were amazing! We did get to do a taste testing beforehand. Leah delivers the cake to your venue and sets it up. She even decorated ours with fresh flowers and greenery from our florist. We had lots of leftover cake, which we were happy to eat. Leah also made us a small separate cake to save for our one year anniversary. We were very pleased with our experience and our cake!

Leah is seriously such a sweet person! I had to do all of my wedding planning from out of state and had to meet with her sporadically and we mostly talked through e-mail. She was so nice through all of it and made sure we had everything we wanted for our wedding cakes. After doing the tasting with her, I actually had her make my mom's birthday cake and my sister also had her make a cake for my bridal shower on the same weekend! They all looked and tasted great! SO happy that I chose LaLa Custom Cake. P.S. The lemon blueberry was a big hit at the wedding!

Leah was honestly so sweet to work with, I have already recommended so many friends to her! She did a gorgeous job on both our bridal shower cake and wedding cake. She was spot on with our request. We've been getting cupcakes from LaLa Custom Cake for a while and they have NEVER disappointed. We love supporting local businesses in Lakewood, and it's much easier to do so when the product they sell is this good! Working with Leah was great from start to finish. We didn't have all the details figured out (flavors, quantity, etc), but she helped us through the planning process wonderfully. We ended up getting a small 6" cake for us and cupcakes for everyone else. We tried a few custom flavors until we found exactly what we wanted for our small cake - and we ended up with a seriously perfect "bananas foster" themed cake. So delicious. It was beautifully decorated as well - simple yet elegant. ...Writing this review is making me hungry...
